Brought in a very expensive skirt to get stains out, Yun or Young said she would try to get the stains out but wasn't able to. Not only were the stains not removed, the spots where she did try to take out the stains are now bleached and the color of the skirt has been completely lost. Tried to tell her that she did not even attempt to remove all the stains nor did the stains she did try to remove work and made the skirt look even worse. Do NOT go here - she still charged me full price and would not give me a discount or anything for an incomplete / awful service. Tried to prevent me from getting my skirt back as well and I had to very clearly tell her I did not want her to attempt cleaning it again and I would be leaving with my clothing item in hand which she was very resistant and aggressive towards. The whole process took less than 5 minutes to get me in the system with my name and phone number. (My new kitten made a mistake in my bed- so I'm dry cleaning asap). BUYER BEWARE... College Square Cleaners Hi friends, just a heads up. Yesterday I took a blazer to College Square Cleaners because I needed it today. The owner was nice, but he acted like he was doing me this big favor. After about 5 minutes of pondering, he said he couldn't clean it, only press. That was fine I said. Today I picked it up. He then said it would be $20 bucks! $20 BUCKS?! I said oh, you were able to clean it after all? He said no, only press. $20 bucks to clean and press for next day service? Not the end of the world. $20 bucks to JUST press? That's a big WOW and I don't think I'll ever return. I could've (and should've) just done a light iron to it at home. Had I known the price I would have. So just buyer beware. He said it was a fair price but never in my life of using a dry cleaners have I paid $20 for a next day press. I was expecting it to be half that. If you can recommend a dry cleaner that is actually fair, please let me know because I'll never go back to College Square Cleaners! I took a faux leather jacket there to have the zipper replaced. The replacement was a good job, but it was replaced with a zipper that didn't match the existing zippers on my jacket. I went back and asked for it to be replaced with the correct color, but the owner said they can't do that for me! Wow! i just assumed they would match the existing zippers for me. read more

I don't normally leave reviews but my experience here was so atrocious that I feel compelled to now. I took in a cashmere sweater and silk blouse and although the sweater is fine, my $98 top is completely ruined (see pictures of before/after). The shirt appears bleached all over, the color is dulled where it's still blue, and the fabric has gone from soft silk to gritty sandpaper. It's completely ruined. When I took it in with my receipt the next day, the lady who runs the place was completely obstinate - would not own up to any damage! She refused to refund the service or repay me for the damages. When I asked what happened she simply said "the color went away" and offered $30 of dry cleaning services for the next time. As if I would trust this place with my clothes again! Truly an awful experience, I would recommend you find somewhere else to clean your clothes. read more

I have been wearing casual traditional costumes that need a bit of delicate services. I have been using this place ever since. They always do the professional jobs taking care of my dresses. One time he even delivered my dresses to my home because he had some business near my home. How nice it was, and I surprised of his kindness! Also, the cost is very reasonable, and I never ask them of the cost for each service. I sometimes drop money in the bag that I drop off, a sort of my own pricing. They do same day alterations! The changing room is clean and a good-sized area and the lady who does the alterations is a sweetheart. Edited after getting my alteration back: I waited to the last minute to get a bridesmaid's dress tailored and was excited to find that College Square Laundry would do my alteration same-day. Unfortunately the alteration was botched and I couldn't pull the zipper on the back of the dress all the way to the top. read more

Pros, Cons, then summary We usually come here weekly to do laundry, and have been for the past @8-9 years. PROs--It's in a nice neighborhood, and the usual knuckleheads are non-existent. I've lived and washed in Oxnard, so trust me, this place is heaven. There are plenty of washers and dryers, AND they just expanded into the site next door. (The wall was broken down and they put in more washers/dryers). There shouldn't be any issues anymore, especially during peak times. The $$ is fair and in keeping with other laundrymats. The workers there are very nice and helpful. CONs--They used to have better video games, but not anymore. Also, allow the customers to either change the channel, or leave at least 1 tv on espn/fox sports....not all of us want to watch Ellen or General Hospital. Would I go back? Yes, it's clean, the people are nice, and I'm not worried about getting ripped off. read more

I've been going here many years!! Had a problem yrs ago . Eventually went back! Still it's been long. I dropped of a new set of sheets for my bed. I asked him what the price would be . He quoted me $20. I hesitate but said ok bc I've always wanted to try laundering sheets as to see if they got hung on line.. So be $ 20. Today Friday the 19 of Jan went to pick up!!! Holly Crap Bill Was $53. I said no you told me 20. His wife said no Each Sheet Was 20. I said no! She called husband. He said yes 53. That's not what u told me!!'n He said yes each piece was $20. I brought in a pair of lace curtains to be shortened. The curtains had a scalloped hem and needed to be shortened from the top...This involved undoing the seams of the existing rod pockets, shortening the material, and restitching the rod pocket at the top of the drapes (not a complicated process.....I had measured the curtains and noted where the new rod pocket should be located, so the scalloped hem would hang 1/2 inch from the floor). The alteration was incorrectly done. The new ruffle above the rod pocket was over 2.5 inches tall, so the ruffle flopped forward, instead of standing up, when the material was gathered onto a curtain rod. Additionally, 14 inches of seam in the newly sewn pocket was missing! It looked like the bobbin thread had run out, and the seamstress never even checked to see if there was an intact seam. As the entire alteration needed to be re-done, I asked for a refund so I could take the curtains elsewhere. The owner refused to give me a refund, insisting that they would fix them. The seamstress clearly had no idea how to properly alter the curtains, and the "fixed" curtains were returned to me with the ruffle at the top reduced to a proper height, but now the curtains were too long, and 2 inches of the scalloped hemline lay on the floor. I wrote the owner a letter addressing my concerns and included photographs of the curtains...and requested a refund. I received no refund or communication from the owner. Ultimately, I had my money ($50.00) refunded by my credit card company after filing a complaint. I cannot comment on dry cleaning services as I have not ever used them......I am certain I will never go to this establishment again. read more

I have been going here for several years. I primarily use them for dress shirts and suits. I have had to bring back shirts that weren't clean after being washed. Also have had buttons broken on several of my shirts. When I brought to their attention (in a very friendly manner), she had an attitude and started lecturing me about what I don't know...The customer is DEFINITELY not right here...I am done. This place was my favorite place to come and is clean but they rose the price soooooo high, used to be 25 cents for ten minutes on the large dryers and now it's 50 cents on the large dryers for 14 minutes! It was 5 dollars, then 5.75 and now it's 6 dollars for the 60 pound washer. Ridiculous. Also, I lost a dollar in the soda machine a few weeks ago and went to go talk to who was on duty and no one was in the office, said on the sign they'd be back at 4 and it was 430pm and no one was still there. I ended up waiting fifteen minutes and just gave up. So if you want to waste your money on the higher prices, come here. Please stop changing your prices every other week. Thank you! read more

I absolutely love this place. I have turned in clothes and they always come out looking new. One time a top looked newer than when I turned it in. I literally dry clean everything from my cook uniforms to my dress uniforms and all my non military attire and they do so beautifully. My Greek Dance costumes have to all be dry cleaned. It took me awhile to find a place that was in my price range. I have since used this place for hemming all my pants and skirts, a well as for tearing out the seam and re-creating my last bridesmaid dress - the whole front panel needed to be redone and a new zipper put in just to make it fit correctly (gotta love the fact that some things are created fitting no one well, the other girls just dealt with it, but I wanted to know the dress was going to stay on - esp. during the dancing). Something happened to where the dress came back 2 sizes too small - don't know what happened. I think some reviews reviews on here are directed at the laundry mat next door, but I want to be clear, mine is intended for the dry cleaners. I brought two pairs of jeans here and the woman doing alterations did not speak any english, so I couldn't communicate with her. She approximated how much to take the jeans in by squeezing the waistband together and asking if that was enough. I told her I also wanted the rear taken in. This must have been lost in translation. When I got the jeans back (2 days later than promised) she had just stitched horizontally across the waistband, leaving a very awkward fit, and the same with the second pair. Now I have to take both pairs to another place to get them fixed. I hope this review discourages anyone from giving this place their business. read more
