i came here for my first dental appointment since the pre-covid days, and i was not disappointed!…read morethey were booking out a few weeks from when i called, but when the time came for my appointment, all went smoothly. they do take your temperature when you arrive, and masks are required. the waiting room is clean, comfortable, and modern. i saw a complimentary snack/beverage bar (that i didn't use but i was thinking about it!) and a small room just off the lobby that looked like it had kids' toys in it. i filled out some forms and was taken back to the most comfortable dentist chair i've ever sat in! i was given freshly-washed sunglasses to protect against all the lights when you're lying back with your mouth open, and there was a tv playing some relaxing footage. they took x-rays first before bringing me back to the exam room, my cleaning was done first by a hygienist, and it was extremely thorough. she really took her time and explained to me what she was doing at every stage. then, the doctor came in for the exam. dr. ho was very friendly and also thorough, explaining what he was seeing and making sure i felt comfortable. everyone was so genuinely friendly in this office! i will absolutely be returning regularly. they also offer free whitening kits with regular (6 month) cleanings. i'm not someone who is typically afraid of the dentist, but i can't imagine anyone having a less than stellar experience with the staff and amenities here.

My chart indicates that I have sensitivity and the hygienists know to have a light and gentle touch. I also have excellent oral hygiene and have been told by the previous hygienists that I don't have much plaque and cleanings are easy. For some reason she was not gentle at all and repeatedly hurt me. I raised my hand three times to ask her to please be more gentle because she was hurting me. She did not listen and instead increase her pressure hurting me more, at one point using an electric tool and pressing it hard on my teeth and gums. I was moaning and jumping and had to push the tool away with my hands because she was hurting me so much. I should have gotten up and left but I didn't. The receptionist minimized my concerns when I phoned to call her afterwards. I did talk directly to the dentist later and she listened, but I want people to know not to go to this particular hygienist especially if they want to be treated kindly, with respect, and not hurt. I will also add that this practice has trouble keeping good hygienists and has cancelled my cleaning appointments twice in the past because they didn't have enough hygienists that day
