Terrible place. With their type of job they are suppose to care and make sure your animal is comfortable not cause them stress. On my visit with my dog they gave him a muzzle for one shot. He has been going to the vet his whole life never had an issue and is use to shots. They put a muzzle on him for who knows why. Only answer I can find is that they discriminated him for his breed and size and assumed he was aggressive. Once they put the muzzle on he was terrorized, he never had something like that on and freaked out. They were stressing him out. The whole experience was ripping my heart. I told them it's the muzzle and they need to take it off. They just ignored me and continued to wrestle him. So I got up and took it off. They all panicked like he was going to attack. Of course he didn't. I was really upset with how they handled things. After the muzzle came off my dog stood there and let them give him the shot with no problem at all. They caused unnecessary stress for my dog and even me. I won't be spending my money here or trusting them with the care of my dog. It only takes one bad experience to traumatize a dog. I can understand if the dog is showing signs of aggression to use a muzzle but my dog did not. The whole visit he never growled or showed fear or nervousness. He yelped getting a thermometer up his ass but who wouldn't? Immediately when they put the muzzle on did he growl. He never growled or had any issue at the vet except this one time. After that muzzle went on he lost all trust for them. My dog has never bit anyone. I still have no idea why they put him through that. I just know that their job is not to manhandle dogs.

After the vitamins and candle...he also bit the lock off our door

While I agree that might've caused a mild upset stomach, my cat was having pure liquid, extreme diarrhea for 4+ days, which I knew wasn't normal. We were told at our appointment (on Friday afternoon) they would call/email with her fecal test results on Monday or Tuesday. It's now Tuesday evening with no contact so we called to inquire and were told actually the vet isn't there until Thursday so he'll look at it then. Meanwhile my poor cat is leaking diarrhea all over the entire house with a red, raw backside (not to get too graphic). When we said this they begrudgingly told us they could get someone else to look at it tomorrow, but I still feel that's unacceptable. They shrugged off our concerns, gave her some OTC probiotics which I feel only made it worse, and now are taking their sweet time with her test results, all after charging us $200!!! I wouldn't recommend bringing your pet here, it's not worth the money or time.

When dropping him off I told the person at the counter not to shave him totally and the girl looked at my friends account on the computer and told me that she understood because there were notes saying how to clip him. My friend came at 4:30 to pick up her dog and was told they hadn't started working on him yet! She waited 30 minutes until they were done. When they brought him out to go home it was a real chop job, the ridges from the clipper were visible from the side it was obvious that certain areas were shaved unevenly. The hair on the head and around the ears was chopped with no attention to detail. She was shocked and spoke to the owner about how awful the job was and asked for a partial refund, at least for the tip given. The owner said she would get back to her and never did. I have clipped and shaved my own dogs at home and know I could've done a better job!

You must arrive for your appointment at least 15 min walk as they move quickly. The waiting room was nice and open. The staff were all friendly. We had zero issues checking in. Both our dogs are old now and one has severe arthritis and hip dysplasia. The vet (Staab) was very caring and checked both our dogs over very thoroughly. He checked all their lumps and bumps and made sure they were of no concern. He gave us realistic pain management options and explained things in layman's terms. I really liked him and will continue to use this vet until he leaves the area. Pricing was the most reasonable in the area. Way less frustrating than waiting in Academy's packed waiting room for over an hr. FYI : dentals are still expensive here $300 for our 20lb dog

That I was irresponsible and careless because I allowed my one indoor dog to remain un-neutered? Any shots that I had from other clinics in the area they claimed were invalid and strongly recommended that I start rounds of shots all over again before they would let me register the critters on base. When my long-haired dog was microchipped the incision area was neither shaved not sanitized with alcohol, just implanted without any safety precautions. There was no infection and this was the one instance of them not treating the animals well but it was enough for me.
