I so wish I had read reviews before I went there. I dropped off a tire and rim to get it mounted. Next day I get a call "there was a mishap". They'd never seen this before. After mounting the tire they over inflated the inner tube to seat the bead. Service guy said it blew somewhere over 100psi. Stated they regularly do this with no problems. My tire was rated for 35psi. They were surprised. They told me the rim was poorly manufactured and lacked a welded bead. Not willing to do anything for the damage they caused. Now I'm out $200 for a rim that worked perfectly well for over a year since bike was bought new. Was only replacing tire because I mainly commute on this bike and the factory knobbies aren't fun on wet pavement. I will NEVER go back. read more

I called the dealership to day about getting some very minor service on my 2003 Honda VTX , As I discussed what I needed, only the rear valve steam replaced because it was leaking, and also a oil change, VERY MINOR ISSUES ....... after a couple of minutes on hold I was told they dont work on older bikes, I stated my VTX is in pristine condition and I really dont understand, very minor issues........ The person told me to go to Fairfield Honda or Beechmont Motorsports..... I couldnt believe that he would say that... very unprofessional and I need to call you boss....... past few months I've been buying a lot of parts and accessories for 2 bikes with Collins Powersports. Most of the time they are awesome and have what I need. I recently bought 4 tires for 2 bikes. one bike they installed them all is good. few days ago I bought tires for my other bike and installed them myself. the person I bought them from said I could bring them back up there and have them balanced. long story short i brought them up today and the owner was a complete asshole and disrespectful. he said they wouldn't balance them and was very rude. to balance a tire it only takes minutes to do. so I had to end up driving all the way to a shop 45 minutes away just to have them balanced. after today Collins Powersports lost my business all because that one owner. everyone else there is pretty cool. I would not want to be working for that person period!!! I'm sure my opinion means squat but just thought i would share that. We had been looking for a UTV. Not sure what would fit our needs on our 8 acres. CC was very patient and walked us through several options. She printed off spec sheets and let us review them at our own pace. Fir several months, we chatted back and forth, discussed various options and availability. It was not easy for us to make a decision and what was available making it even harder. CC kept in contact with us and when a Mule became available at their location, she worked with us to complete the transaction. Then the techs and team walked us through the UTV, how it works, best maintenance schedule, tips for using, etc. The whole team is so friendly and knowledgable. This place simply does not know what they are doing... and they could be damaging your bikes! Read on for 3 stories of how Collins Powersports just in the last few months. 1. Ordered some brake pads. After 2 weeks I called to check on them. I was told in no uncertain terms they were backordered and had no estimated arrival date. After a lengthy discussion, I suggested I would just order some elsewhere and to cancel the order. Parts guy says, "Go ahead and make sure you can find some online and call me back if you want to cancel." After 4 hours of searching I found what I needed online and placed my order. Called Collins back to cancel. Guess what! My brake pads have arrived!! It's a shipping miracle. I said I still wanted to cancel, but then they refused to refund my money. They said they were special order and can't be cancelled. I said, "You told me to go elsewhere and order them!" his reply.. "Can't you go back and cancel the other order?". I had already ordered new pads and a new rotor to match since Collins said everything OEM was backordered! After 10 minutes of arguing and asking to speak to the owner they reluctantly refunded my money... 2. Had some tires changes somewhere else that I didn't trust and called Collins to have the tubes changed out and everything inspected. Everything seemed ok. Took them in, picked them up, got them home.... annnnd one of the tires is on backwards! It has clear marks for rotation direction. Their response, "We didn't take the tire off the rim to change the tubes." I explained that I asked for an INSPECTION of the entire setup because I didn't trust the other place I had them done... this was my point. They also didn't even attempt to turn the front tire to find the light spot and put on like 10 wheel weights.... 3. Went in and asked for "stuff to do an oil change on a DR650." Was given some o-rings and gaskets and then we talked about oil. I said I like the Bel Ray Thumper oil I used last time. The guy agrees and hands me some Bel-Ray oil from behind the counter. Fast Forward 2 months later and I realize the oil they gave me was Friction Modified and NOT recommended for use with wet clutches. The DR650 is a wet clutch. The recommendation online when you use this type of oil is to replace the clutch at the next oil change! I call to complain about it and it takes several hours to get a response. I guess the person I spoke with had to call Bel-Ray to see if the oil might actually damage the bike. She calls back and offers to give me 3 quarts of Honda oil for "Free". I said, "Can you give me a oil filter too?" She laughs. LAUGHS at me and says "NO!, but you can BUY an oil filter!" She said, "I'm willing to GIVE you 3 quarts of oil FREE!". I explained that I had paid for the oil and it wasn't free and asked if the Honda oil was cheaper. I paid $14/quart for the Bel-Ray. She didn't know. I explained that I didn't really want to drive all the way out to the shop to get the oil and asked if she could just refund the money. "She said NO!. Where are you going to get oil then?? You can't keep using the oil in the bike no, you will damage it." No kidding! I said I can get oil anywhere... Auto Zone or online or WalMart. Somewhere right by my house. I also explained that I had already just had to run out there when they messed up my tire and I already have to change the oil myself and now buy another filter and I don't think I would rather just have the money back. She just refused. She said she would need the old containers back to refund my money. I only had one container left, I threw the old ones away when I changed the oil! She said she could give me 2 quarts of oil and refund me for the one container I had left.... What!? Essentially... after all this, I am leaving this review and just not going back here ever. If you decide to shop here be careful. They will damage your bike and then not do anything about it! Also, oil at Auto Zone (Valvoline designed for wet clutch) was only $9/qt. read more

We think we need a Side by Side ATV. Susan, Keith and Adam spent a lot of time with us on the phone and in person going through the features of the different types and sizes. We are holding off buying one at the moment, but we certainly will work with Collins Powersports when we are ready. We were very comfortable in getting information and when they didn't know the answer, they said so and got back to us with it promptly. (This is much different than getting made up answers, which is too common) A few says earlier, we went to a dealership close to our home in Cincinnati. The price they wanted for a 2019 was the same as wheat Collins Powersports offered us for an identical 2020. In addition Collins Powersports did not have any pressure. With ratings, most people don't comment unless they have bad service. "If you do a good job, you get a few referrals, If you do a bad job, they tell everyone they know" In that respect, when you look at ratings, those with bad experiences are more likely to make comments. This Suzuki dealership (although easy to miss if your not watching carefully) is very helpful. They got the parts I needed in a timely manner and made recommendations about other things to consider. My wife once picked up parts for me there and because it was close to closing time and she was a woman dressed in a professional business suit she had some trouble getting waited on. After calling twice, being hung up once, sitting and listening to on-hold music for 2 songs and then being told they wouldn't even consider looking at my bike to adjust the idle and sync the carbs...I'll never go there again. Not at all happy with service received here. Had a complete tuneup and carburetor overhaul, but was returned with choke inoperative and very difficult cold starting. The final straw was the installation of new front and rear tires. After installation the rear tire would go flat in approx one week from what I suspected was a bad bead set around the rim. There was no nail or foreign object damage to the tire. Also, the valve stem was incorrectly installed facing a rib of the wheel and was impossible to check pressure or add air (a constant task) without bending the rubber out. I would not complain if they corrected these items without additional cost to me, but that was not offered. I explained to the service writer that this was going to bring a poor review... and he didn't seem to care. My recommendation is to go somewhere else unless you have no other option. They will never see my Honda again. read more

The knowledgeable parts and service department has always been extremely helpful and committed to doing everything they can to ensure I have the best experience possible. Ordering parts takes a little longer than i'd like, but overall I'm happy to wait a little longer to support a local business who is there and willing to help with any and all of my questions regarding my bike. They charge for freight, doc fees, title fees, temporary tag, lein fee and I'm sure I've missed a few of the additional charges. parts department is useful especially the lady who works there very knowledgeable. the service department however is not. had my bike in there 3 different times over a couple of months over same issue bike dies and refused to start. paid them hundreds of dollars to "fix" the issue bike died the SAME night I get it bk. call them and talked to Brad. his answer "I dont know what you want me to do" how about fix the problem took bike back to them the very next day. because once again bike died. cant find nothing wrong im told by a "knowledgeable mechanic" now im upset and feel like im being tooken and just let bike sit in garage because every time I ride it it dies called shop 5 times to try and speak with management or owner but hes never available 2 of the times I called they asked well maybe I can help you. tell them whats going on and they say please hold then you hear "honda of florence this is brad" great so once again I tell him bike is dead and wont start his answer "I dont know what you want to hear" finally I got brad to come to my house and pick up bike im thinking pre-existing problem so no problem WRONG!!! at this time bike would only run with choke fully out. how does brad get my bike from my garage to his truck you might ask... he drives it up driveway down the street turns it around and on the truck it goes. There diagnose is im out of gas and charge me a $100 for tow and gas I eventually sued them and settled for half my money back which I immediately regretted.should have went in front of judge and got every single penny these crooks took from me took my bike to south 25 cycles and within 5 mins issue was found -petcock- these guys at honda are a joke and should be laughed at every time they call themselves mechanics read more
