BEWARE!! Very…read moredisappointed with my experience. I paid a deposit to hold a car, but was never clearly told that the hold was only for 3 days. I spoke with the salesperson and we agreed I would pick up the car later that week, so I had no reason to believe it would be put back up for auction. I received no call or notification that the hold was expiring. Had I known, I could have easily had a family member pick up the car for me. Instead, the car was put back up for auction, I lost the vehicle, and I'm now being told I can't get my deposit back. This could have easily been avoided with proper communication. I'm extremely disappointed with the customer service and would recommend getting everything in writing before leaving a deposit. I am now out of a car AND my deposit!!

VIPRE is a good place to buy a used auto, but a bad place to get it repaired. In one instance, they charged me $1,200 to replace ONE headlight, and they didn't even fix it correctly- I had to bring it back in because the mechanic hadn't replaced the "igniter". The other headlight went out 2 months later, so I took it to a recommended moonlighter mechanic- he fixed the set-up without fuss for $200, and a year later it's still running strong. I really don't think Shamit and crew are intentionally trying to rip customers off, I just think there's a disconnect between the management and the repair side of the business. And, if you get caught up in that "disconnect", it will cost you thousands of dollars. Shamit has never fixed this issue, so beware to the car owner looking to get a repair. Needless to say, my next used car will probably be purchased at VIPRE, but my repairs will be going elsewhere. Three stars: good cars, bad repair service.
