She helped me schedule & reschedule appointments, understand billing, and throughly detail what each treatment entailed. The therapists did a good job with the products and I always think it is a good idea to do some holistic treatments every once in a while to keep your body clean and healthy. I believe some of the treatments could be a little more affordable or offer different combo packages. They do offer discounts on packages of three or more on certain treatments. The location is off Biscayne Boulevard in Edgewater and the facility could not feel more clean. The tall windows allow so much light to enter into the establishment which I loved as well. My next treatment will most likely be a massage, but it was pretty interesting to see all the different options and treatments, half of which I've never heard. There is street parking that you must pay for. Weeks prior to this, I called several times and noone picked up. Team is clearly understaffed. THE SERVICE: I went with the "new client deal" promoted on their website-it provides a variety of services. For the deal of 110, I went with the colonic, yoni steam and foot detox. My first appointment was the colonic and it started 40 mins late, so keep it in mind. The colonic treatment with Liliana was fantastic. Liliana is very knowledgable, and professional and creates a safe space for comfort. Then I had the foot detox, gross to look at but cool nonetheless and added to self-knowledge, but nothing else. Then I had the yoni steam, slightly relaxing but maybe not worth repeating - at least for me. Among the many services they provide, there is a free body scan on a machine I believe that tells you about your body and the areas to work on. If I didn't ask about this, I would've not known. I wanted to try it, but saw very little interest in the person helping me in doing it, and actually completely ignored me when I requested it. So I left.

I tried everything I thought I should, such as; Metamucil, laxatives, bran, etc. (Thanks to Daryn at Feel The Heal, I've since learned that none of that is good for me and it only compounded the problems.). My last resort should have been my first resort. I wasted months of my life not feeling good about myself. I should've gone to Feel the Heal a long time ago. I went to Daryn for an enema and colonic and it was a cataclysmic experience. I have never felt such physical relief from a discomfort, such emotional gain from having a 'fog' lifted, and, such overwhelming contentment from just feeling like myself again. To begin, as I expect we all might, I had to get over the stigma of what was going to happen and my completely misplaced thoughts of awkwardness. This visit could not have been less awkward. As years of build-up and toxins and chemicals were expelling from me, I IMMEDIATELY started to feel better. It was, in no uncertain terms, like a shroud was being lifted off of me. This sounds ridiculous, and I'm not a very 'touchy feely' type of guy, but, the room literally got brighter, I actually felt like I could see better - my mood made a 180. After the services were over, Daryn gave me expert advice and insight regarding what to take for pro-biotics and 'cleansers' to keep my gut clean and get me back on track. D & S Holistic center is literally a hidden gem. From the outside, it just looks like a business center, the mysterious type that you can only see your reflection instead of the inside. I went in though and it looked like a doctor's office. Nice welcoming green couch and some chairs and a square window to talk to the employees through on the other side. I caught the director/owner there. His name is Delfi Monteagudo and he specializes in chiropractic treatment, acupuncture, massage therapy and nutrition. So this is not your run of the mill spa. They actually know what they're doing. He was so nice and gave me some pamphlets. They even hold seminars and workshops to teach on aromatherapy, Ayurveda, diets, herbs, etc. Mari, my massage therapists, came out after I had filled in some paperwork to make sure I had no alergies to oils and to find out what areas she needed to concentrate on. She took me into a room that was so nice. Dim lighting, comfortable massaging table with that little circle thing to put your head on. She gave me privacy to undress and once I was ready to go, she knocked and came in. She asked me through out the whole process, if the pressure was okay. She put on some background relaxing music, put some oil on her hands, and got to work. She massaged my neck, my back, my sides, then she went on to my legs and side buttox (hehe) and my feet. My favorite part was when she put these steaming hot towels on my back and pressed down and then rubbed off the oil. So good. The hole in the head pillow stand thingy (sorry for my lack on knowledge on this term lol) was probably a bad idea because I can guarantee I was drooling through my hour massage. Nevertheless, my hour was up and I got quickly dressed to rush to work. I've been in a trance ever since. So calm, and serene (which was the name of my room btw!). They have different tipes of massages ranging from Swedish Aromatherapy, Deep Muscular, Warm Stone, Reflexology, Thia, Shiatsu, etc. An hour message runs at about $100 and an hour and a half at $129. It's only my third visit, but it's like visiting a family friend who confidently ushers you through an uncertain part of your life with peace and kindness. Katia speaks positively, she is affirming. Her space is calm. There is soft music, lively plants and warm blankets. My integrative medicine doctor referred me for a lymphatic drainage massage. Our first visit started with the menopause talk. Katia has physiology maps on her door where you discover the anatomy class that every girl needed. I thought that I was coming for massage. This is bodywork. BbIt's an experience. A few minutes later, I was in tears when she intuitively pushed energy from a place in my body that I didn't think anyone knew existed but me. Before I went into a panic, she whispered, "it's okay, you're safe". Katia is a healer. She watches your body. She observes. The places where you struggle, she helps your body find balance.
