Nice staff in general. Facilities very tired. The office staff on location is lovely, but the wellbridge group that runs it is completely inflexible and money hungry. I was six days late in cancellation after a leave of absence and they are charging me for two extra months. Of course, I can not enter the building during these two months. I have friends who have left for errors in charges that Wellbridge refuses to correct. I do not recommend this club to anyone. read more

We live nearby and so out of convenience our family joined the Club, overlooking the outdated facilities. We are no longer members of the club as I heard the older White woman working at the front desk tell a member of the Club as she was checking her in that, "I am so tired of these little Asians." I being half Asian felt very disgusted at this blatant Racial comment. It hurt and saddly the Club did nothing and kept this person employed so our family took our business to Lifetime Fitness. So far we lllloooove Lifetime Fitness its worth the 15min drive and they do not tolerate racism there. read more

i was a member here for 10 years. if you play tennis and live close by it might be worth looking into, but otherwise look elsewhere. the place is really dated and it's really expensive given the amenities (we were paying just over $250 for my wife, myself, and my daughter who is now 11 and couldn't even go without our supervision until recently). i was paying $125 solo. they open the pool up to pool only memberships in the summer so it gets really crowded. they membership is also primarily folks over 55. parking is a bit of a joke in the first quarter of the year and summer weekends. on top of that, they raised my dues almost every year i was a member. administration is sloppy, unforgiving, and doesn't give a damn. i personally experienced several billing errors. my brother-in-law, who had been a member here for over 25 years, closed a bank account and forgot to change his autobill, they refused to waive the $35 late fee this created. he finally quit too. if they offered some kind of competitive rate i could overlook a lot of it, but for the money there are plenty of much nicer facilities within 5 miles of it. read more

I was a member for a couple months here and just couldn't justify the cost of the gym for the lack of quality that you get from it. The gym is in desperate need of repairs with most of the equipment working rather poorly. The workout section is put together somewhat awkwardly because it leaves very little room to do any exercises with free weights. Getting help from front desk was difficult and most would treat it as an inconvenience that they had to stop texting. On a positive note the outdoor pool is a nice place to go during the summer and it seemed like tennis players enjoyed the facilities they had. So if a tennis/social club is what you are looking for I imagine it is probably just fine. If you want the weight equipment to work in a gym, no so much. read more

I used to be a member of CAC, but it's been quite a while. I recently was someone's guest and I was shocked (...err, actually not surprised at all) to see that CAC hadn't changed a bit since I was a member. It was horribly mismanaged during my tenure as a member, so I am not surprised that despite being away for several years, the club is dingier, dirtier, darker and more dilapidated than it already was. What the heck is Wellbridge thinking in operating such run down facilities? This place needs to be razed. CAC is significantly more expensive than anywhere nearby. 24 Hour Fitness (there's two within 1.5mi) is roughly 1/3rd of the cost. LifeTime is a few bucks cheaper. Greenwood Athletic Club is basically the same price, but wayyyy nicer. There's also some a new discount gym, Chuze, opening up down the street, which is like $10/month, but because it's brand new, I'm sure will be way less icky than CAC. Don't join here! You're dues are ultimately paying for faculties and equipment, and it doesn't look like Wellbridge cares to maintain or invest in either! read more

The gym is FANTASTIC. The trainers are great and I love all the amenities. However, I lost my job and they won't bend at all about breaking my membership. I have heard horror stories about gyms no letting you break memberships and so I made sure that it wasn't a annual membership and it was month to month. But there was fine print. I missed it and no leniency. If they could figure out how to treat people they would realize that as soon as I am employed again I would rejoin but as it stands...I can't bear to deal with their membership accounting again. read more

Now what, no showers, sauna, whirlpool, no pools. Squash, RB, it's a tennis club? If I wanted no amenities I would go over to Wash park rec center. They have never been a member friendly club, any requests are meet with a roll of the eyes and a wink. DO NOT JOIN THIS HORRIBLE CLUB! Management is completely unresponsive to the needs of its members. Many longtime members are leaving not only due to bad management but lacking maintenance practices as well.....leaking ceilings and broken equipment are quite common......and the temperature in the studios is too cold for yoga and other classes. Overall, this club is NOT WORTH THE MONEY. Recommend 24 hour fitness down the street....the facilities and staff there are excellent and the dues are a fraction of what CAC charges. read more

We were members at Colorado Athletic Club for a little under a year. It wasn't terrible but there are much better options in the area for a more reasonable price. The main problem was the price, also everything felt old and falling apart. Whenever it rained the hallway flooded and the ceiling pannels were falling apart. The staff was always really great and we did like that the hot tub, steam room and sauna we're in the locker rooms. In the end it was just too expensive. read more

I'm loving this place! A tennis lover's dream, but with something for everyone. My favorite perks are the fact that this location is never packed with people and the awesome locker room. With towel service, sauna, steam room, and hot tub, it's got everything I could ask for. With a wide selection of cardio, free weights, and weight machines plus basketball courts, racquetball courts, running track, pool, etc it has it all. Not to mention all the class offerings. I'm not a member, I just play tennis here for a few days a year during tournaments. It's a nice enough place, but some of the courts are in really bad shape. Court two has an eight inch wide crack/dead spot that runs from the net past the baseline. Any ball that hits this huge area just dies. I work in Boulder and live nearest to the Monaco CAC. I've been a member of the Boulder CAC for a few years and totally love it. I tried out the Monaco location last weekend to see if I wanted to pay the extra to be able to use all of the CAC gyms in the area. This club is in MAJOR need of a face lift. It's old and warn and the indoor pool was creepy to swim in. The outdoor pool doesn't open until May -- when all of the other outdoor pools are open year-round. I guess if you played tennis (there seems to be like 100 tennis courts indoor and out) and only used the weight/cardio room this would be a perfectly fine gym but I don't think it's worth the extra $25/month and I don't see myself working out there at all. :-( read more

Fours stars- A high score because: 1. They have the tri-bathalon (sauna, hot tub steam room)....This is an extreme indulgence and motivates me to work out approximately 2-3X more than without the Tri-bath features. Fabulous towels, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel! 2. They have a huge weight room. 3. They have plenty of cardio machines and you can always seem to get the one you want. They have rowing machines! 4. They have cool things like TRX and Pliates Reformer. 5. They have tons of group classes. Yoga, Pilates, zoomba, etc. 6. EnormousTennis facility- indoors and out 7. POOLS!!!!! One in, one out. 8. Summer pool is a family favorite, and has a snack stand. Say what, hot dogs around the pool with the kids? Nice! 9. Nice locker rooms. Really really nice. 10. Inside snack bar with coffee, smoothies, snacks and WINE. 11. For all this- very reasonable fees in my opinion~$119/month I have not figured out the people yet. It is not the friendliest of clubs when you walk in and walk out, as some have mentioned on their reviews. So the score could go up! read more

This place is a great value -- I've been to 24 hour, Bally, crossfit gyms, high end health clubs... this place is right in between - at about $100/mo this is what I love about it: unlimited yoga, newer free weight and cardio equipment, free coffee, free full sized lockers, towel service, lots of showers, steam room, sauna, jacuzzi etc. they also have indoor/outdoor pools and tennis courts. Place is rarely crowded, a huge plus --- also, a more mature crowd = courteous/respectful to one another. *******To the management: would love wash cloths in men's locker room for showers (would save you a boatload on wasted body wash and shampoo) and coffee in men's locker room would be huge!!! read more

My wife and I have been members of CAC Monaco for 48 years and we have been extremely happy with it. Its employees are always pleasant and helpful and, almost all its members are very pleasant and sociable. We saw that some reviewers have complained about this and that!!! I joined at the end of 2013 they had a promotion going on. I wish I would have waited a few more days for their 2014 promotion saved 100 bucks. Is this club worth the money I am not sure. I joined because I liked the location it is in between work and home for me. I also didnt want a 25 dollar a month club because I need something to help with motivation. And I was more likely to miss 90 a month than 25. I got two free personal training sessions which were great Justin really knows his stuff and is pretty easy to get along with. I have since purchased more sessions and enjoy that. It is a small gym as far as work out space but I have never had to wait to use something. They offer classes just not any that I have been able to try out. They have a lot of people there that play tennis. They have an indoor pool that I have not tried and probably wont be able too. They also have an outdoor that looks nice as well. One of the main reasons I joined this gym was the locker room. I love the steam room and the hot tub. I give this place a 4 because I really like the environment and the staff. I hold back on one star because the parking can suck a lot of the time. While I am ending my contract after being there 3.5 months its because I need surgery and then shortly after that am moving out of the country. read more

Do not take your kids to this gym. When I go in to work out in the evenings and on the weekends I always see the young employees in the child care, that look to be in high school, sitting around on their phones. I hardly ever see them interact or take care of the kids. There are a few employees that I see who are never on their phones or just lazying about. On Saturday the 27th of April, I saw only THREE employees looking after nearly THIRTY kids. The room they have the child care in is not fit to have thirty kids. The three employees were all high school age and should have had a senior staff member helping them out. If you care about your childs safety, do not leave them in this child care when it is just high school employees. Because they wont actually watch your child. read more

This club is run by wanna be snobs who are judgemental and try to mislead people. They thought I was poor, so they treated me like garbage. They lie and tell you there is a trial available, and then pressure you to sign up without using it?! The sales guy Robert asked me if money was an issue (calm down Robert you are a membership guy at a gym) and tried to shame me because I wanted to use my trial, then told me later on they were taking away my 3 day trial. I couldn't even work out hardly because I kept getting pestered by desperate trainers to sign up for training that I was not interested in at all. It is shocking how poorly and unprofessional this gym is run when they have their noses so high in the air. STAY AWAY!! Monaco is full of old-hide and BRATTY fucking kids whose moms are too whacked on valium, entranced by the repetitive motion on the thigh masters to care if their kids are out of control. It's over priced for a gym for one person and to add people is $30 a person. Staff is some what friendly. There is a min 3 month commitment. There is no leeway about contract, I was told have to pay even though I recently lost my job. And one of the staff members told me, "it's not his problem that I'm not willing to attend the gym." I promise you can find a better gym for a lot less money. You are not a gym member, you're a number and the only thing the staff cares about is your monthly payment. The staff is not super well informed of the basic company policies (such as cancellations) and you will not get much in the way of customer service. (Make sure to cancel your membership at least with at least 6 weeks notice) The only thing that this facility has that others may not is a pool. However, the pool can be a hit or miss, as maintenance scheduled for a week took 3-4 weeks last year. Often have no towels in the mens locker room. This facility has a lot of potential, but does almost nothing with that potential. read more

DO NOT JOIN THE Colorado athletic club Monaco This would be a good gym and family place to go if only they didn't hire know it all and very rude kids to run the out Door swimming pool. I was asked today very aggressively was that REDheaded kid my son!! For some reason this kid in charge of the swimming pool must be no more than 16/17 himself wanted to pick on my son and said he couldn't swim. My son has passed the 3rd level swimming test and has no problem in the deep end. He was a bit upset because his brother was in the deep end and this kid in charge of the kids and adults told him he wasn't allowed in the deep end even though he's been there a million times before and never had a problem. There was kids in the deep end half his size and age but nothing was said about them. This kid obviously had a problem with my red headed son as he said to me aggressively. It's amazing it's one of the most expensive gyms/clubs to join in denver and for all the money we pay there's children controlling the most dangerous part of this club. This kid was so big headed he called his boss and his boss believed when he blatantly lied and told me and my wife he had asked us to tell our son to do a swim test he never asked this once but his boss believed him. My son did a swim test and proved he was well able to swim in the deep end. this little guy With control and power issues couldn't believe it. The result is he didn't like the little red headed child and proceeded to bully a7 year old. my device to anyone is DO NOY PAY TO JOIN THIS CLUB Especially if you value the life of your children and they have red hair. I will post a picture of this kid who thinks he's in charge and the manager who agreed with his lies I also have it on tape that he lied. read more

I don't understand all the bad reviews! I have really enjoyed my experience here. I usually come in around 6am (though I try for earlier) and I am always pleasantly greeted by the front desk. Plus they remember who I am, which I really appreciate. The women's locker room is great! Its stocked with all sorts of hygiene supplies that are of good quality. You basically get your own vanity to get ready on after your workout. Thus far I have only really used the cardio machines but they are in good shape and have little tv's on them. I don't really have anything bad to say about this place and I have been able to use this facility to help reach fitness goals. read more

I have been a member of the Colorado Athletic Club at Monaco for almost 2 years. I really enjoy working out here. First of all, it is not overly crowded and there is plenty of space for stretching, free weights, mat work etc. Yes, there are some areas that seem to be a bit worn, but if what you are looking for is a great workout then who cares? The cardio equipment and weights are all up to date. There are plenty of classes to choose from and the few trainers that I have worked with are amazing. I don't play tennis, but if I did, I would probably enjoy the club even more, as that seems to be their emphasis. My reasoning for 4 instead of 5 stars is the dated locker rooms and lack of parking. read more

Here's the good, the bad, and the ugly. The good: The pool in summer is fantastic for kids and the tennis courts are excellent. Nice basketball court, good coaches, and good fitness area. The bad: This particular facility has been around for so-long and such a cash cow for the parent upgrades are neglected. The ugly: Case in point the whirlpool is just plain nasty. The ventilation doesn't move the heavily chlorinated air, and the tile is mismatched (Circa 1970's) from the numerous half-hearted repairs. The whole thing needs to be upgraded! Overall, worth it if you are a family, but if single, there's better out there. July 4th Update: They hold a pool party on the Fourth. I was there three hours. The whole time they played Reggae & Rasta music. People around me even said, this isn't very patriotic. I asked some staff if we could get a little good 'ol fashioned American rock 'n roll... alas they never changed it and acted put upon when asked. Years ago they had a DJ. They just keep getting cheaper and cheaper, and seem to care less and less. LAST UPDATE: Canceling membership. There is a marked decline in the professionalism of staff. They seem to forget who is the customer. Done. Done. Done. Going elsewhere. PS. The initial comment about the pool is now completely moot. New rules, dirty pool, snotty lifeguards... This location closes hot tub and steam room sauna early every night at 10pm though the club open till 1030...not helpful to night time members.
