I am updating my 1-Star Review and giving them a lot of credit. Daniel, the Club Manager, called me directly and left a message on my cell phone. When I called him back, he expressed sincerity, and explained that they fixed the A/C, and he thought the problem had been solved. He apologized, and honestly that's pretty cool. I happened to be in the area that weekend, and decided to head into that PF. Sure enough, the A/C was on upstairs. I have pointed out equipment which is broken, needed maintenance and repair. It does not get fixed. That is a lie that if you report it they will do something about it. I am there 3-4 times per week, various times. If they had a maintenance person, with all that gear, they would be there 2-4 hours a day, at least 2 days per week. Never seen anyone do anything except the manager, Dan. I asked the staff if they had a maintenance person, they said they have ONE for all the clubs in Colorado. If that was your car, the engine would drop out and tires would fall off. Once again, they are saving money by not doing the correct maintenance and fix. read more

I've been to a lot of gyms, even a couple Planet Fitness ones, and this is the best. The equipment is clean and they recently upgraded a TON of stuff. I only have a basic membership, but it has everything I need. You never need to wait for any cardio because there are so many machines. Daniel and Emily (the managers) are extremely professional and friendly, which honestly matters a lot to the atmosphere when you go in. They greet you and are always available to help. One guy Emmanuel helped me out in a tight spot, and I appreciated it a bunch. Like I said, I've been to a ton of gyms over the years, and the attitude here is basically unparalleled. I didn't have a bad experience when I did visit this location. My problem is I signed up for this gym back in FEBRUARY 2024 to get a feel for the gym experience and it wasn't for me particularly because of my work schedule and the gyms hours. For some reason I haven't been given the ability to cancel my membership and I have been charged every single month. When I called to get my membership cancelled I was told I have to come into the gym to cancel my membership which defeated the whole purpose of why I couldn't use this gym! I feel as if I am being forced to pay for this membership I haven't used because I don't have the time to come cancel the membership. I am frustrated because now my account is been over overdrawn twice now by PF and I am being charged overdraft fee in my bank account because you guys won't cancel my membership! After visiting the gym to cancel my membership with Daniel Scott he informed me that in there policy at PF they put in that policy that the owner of the membership must pay a monthly membership fee until that person has physically come in to in to cancel that membership because PF allows you "availability" to their facilities which can give them the right to say. "No refunds guarantee" even if you only use our facility once in the past 5 months ago. read more

Do not go to this Planet Fitness gym. They say you can cancel at any time but really you can't. In order to cancel you have to write a letter and send it to them in the mail. Who does that these days.They say its corporate policy but they are hoping you will forget or not get around to it. That I said, as I was only visiting there for 3 months I had to send a letter all the way from South Africa which cost more than a month's membership. Did they cancel? Nope. They are still charging me. You will notice they will not let you use a credit card. You have to do a direct debit from your bank account. This is obviously because credit cards are better at taking action. It's much harder to get your bank to block the charge. If the bank does try to block the charge they can get around it by changing the amount slightly which they did to me by changing the amount from $49 to $25. Each gym does their own thing, so I assume it's a franchise. I phoned head office and they just referred me back to the local manager of this Evans Street, Denver branch who just kept saying its corporate policy to send a letter. Next stop for me is the Better Business Bureau but for you, if it's not too late don't join this particular gym. In fact don't roll the dice on Planet Fitness period. read more

Wonderful gym. I feel like the people who are complaining are just miserable and looking for someone to blame. The gym is always clean, has **excellent** and knowledgeable staff, and I have never had any issues checking in or being helped whenever I've asked. Imagine telling someone that they should quit their jobs whenever they please! Sounds like someone who had never held a real job to me... Today was my 1st day at planet fitness! I had such a good experience and Rick was amazing. He gave me a tour of the place, explained everything and made me very comfortable. I'm excited to be apart of this gym. They have a variety of different things you can do. Doesn't seem too crowded and there are plenty of machines to go around. DO NOT GO TO PLANET FITNESS it's not $10. They charge you $40 2 months in and it's nonrefundable. I tried to get a refund and they told me the contract protects them from doing that. They were so rude to me and they actually laughed at me. I need that $80 they took out so I can pay rent. If I get kicked out because of this, I'm suing for $10k. read more

Love this gym, it's super affordable, and has plenty of cardio equipment which I love!! The staff is super friendly and everything is kept very clean. I do find the evenings to be a lot busier than the middle of the day but even so I always am able to find open equipment. read more

The cell phone usage in this gym is rampant. If you love to yammer on your cell phone while 'working out' this is the gym for you! The staff openly allows it even though there is a sign posted that states cell phone usage isn't allowed except for the lobby. A few people are quiet talkers but most are loud talkers. Franchise owners- either stick to this policy or change it! You're letting members make their own rules. I'm heading to Chuze Fitness down the road b/c they set clear policy and boundaries regarding cell phone usage in the gym. This issue is killing your vibe and members who actually adhere to rules are taking note and heading elsewhere. read more

The manager turned out the lights 15min prior to closing, we could have fallen and gotten hurt in the dark. He didn't apologize. The next night when signing in my guest he asked me to sign off that I'm responsible for her. When I got home I received an email with my signature that my membership was cancelled. Lets start with the good! It's affordable ($10 a month to use all gym equipment and go to classes, $22 a month to use hydro massage chairs and beds, message chairs, tanning, ect. and use any other Planet fitness with unlimited guess passes), There is a lot of room and a lot of equipment. I rarely have to wait to use a workout bench, weight, or machine. The staff is friendly and helpful. It's never too crowded. They offer workout plans according to what you want from your workout. It's non pretentious. A true average Joe's gym. The only downside, really is the lack of free barbells. They have barbell machines but they are on a pulley type easy racking system. Which is definitely safer (and you won't need a spotter) but not the best for building stabilizing muscles. There is also no way to dead lift. Overall it's great and I use my guest pass regularly. I go multiple times a week and feel very comfortable there. read more

Allow me to say this rating is not a reflection of the wonderful staff but instead WiFi. I know it's an odd thing to care about at the gym but I get most of my work done on the treadmill and for the 15-30 seconds in between sets. When I started coming here in July it was manageable but recently they switch to a new system where I can't even send an email. What's truly frustrating is I come during the less active hours, I'd hate to see it under a larger capacity of people. read more

Tried to sign up today and was told that I cant walk around to check it out without an escort. I thought ok that seems weird I am not in workout clothes, so it's not like I can workout. Ok guess I'll sign up then, as I'm filling out the application the women tells this same clerk that her husband it going to walk around to check it out. No issues with him walking around alone. Ok, years ago went to a Planet fitness that was a long way from me, and it was pretty good. This one is awesome, and easy to get to (for me). It is brand new and has good equipment that is easy to figure out(how to use it right). Also, open 24/7 which is a new thing for them. Now if I can only get there more often, I have no excuse!! did I mention a free pizza night-Yes it is true. I would recommend this to anyone who wants work out :) read more

This gym is adequate, but there is no hot water. If you need to shower after training, this is the wrong place to be. It cost me $100 to learn this lesson. I've belonged to many gyms in different states and countries my life, and never had an issue with hot water (outside of the developing world). The hot water issues are ongoing, and there is no sort of resolution offered other than sorry-not-sorry by management. I believe they are doing this to keep homeless people from using the facility as a showering place. read more

I haven't used my membership in the past (4) months. They don't allow you to cancel membership over the phone - when I went to cancel my membership (2) hours after the $40 annual fee was charged they would not look at my specific circumstance and see that I have not used the service in months. They would not entertain the conversation of a refund for an unused service (would not entertain the conversation, much less the refund itself). I know that I was in the wrong for not taking the time to cancel my membership in a timely fashion, but at the end of the day I do not want to support a corporate company that makes it hard to cancel a membership and then charges you for a service you aren't using. To each their own, but there are PLENTY of CHEAP small business gyms in the greater Denver area with the same benefits as this giant corporation. I highly advise seeking out one of those gyms and supporting your local community. Mike was the manager I spoke with. In all, this isn't a bad gym. But I'm not a fan of where it's located. I tend to be hit up for money by the homeless population. They do keep things clean inside though. Just about everything is machine based weights though. Not much in the way of free weights which is something I need. read more

This entire company including this club refuses to help a deaf person! They are very ableist as they will only help hearing people. Just because I'm deaf doesn't mean I'm not a human! Will never be a part of this company again. They refuse to accommodate anyone who isn't hearing. read more

Was heading down south after work and wanted to sneak in a workout on the way. I forgot a hair tie! Every girl knows that's just the worst. I asked my home girl at the front desk if they had a rubber band I could use since that would be better than nothing. Poor experience there last evening-- with three people behind the counter -- you would think you would get ample attention and customer service-- nope, I found three people chillin and just doing the bare minimum. Case in point-- I was visiting them for the 1st time-- THEY ASKED ME twice about this fact, after they missed my response to it the 1st time. They sent me to the wrong tanning bed which could have been really bad, and then told me "I went into the wrong bed"-- they have TWO TANNING BEDS with a #2 on them... If you can believe this... Great new location for Planet Fitness. All the equipment is brand new and the shower facilities are very clean. I am a long time member from the location off of Mississippi, but since the Evans location is closer, I switched. They don't tell you when you sign up how hard and unnecessarily complicated it is to end your contract . I tried to end mine in San Francisco only to be told I either had to come into the gym to end contract ( I live in Denver now ) , or, send a certified letter and basically cross my fingers . They obviously aren't award of my third option . Go to my bank and stop all transactions with P/Fitness . They lure us with smiles, but leave out details that really matter . I read reviews where people lost hundreds of dollars because of this hidden policy of not informing us when we sign up . Just joined this gym. Fantastic equipment, plenty of space, incredibly clean, friendly staff, and a great locker room. Reading some of the negative reviews is representative of our society in general- a whole lot of whining about nothing. One poor soul complained the music is too loud, another poor dear disagreed with an employee who objected to his "book bag" on the floor ( even though there are signs everywhere stating no bags of any kind are allowed). Get real folks. This is a premium facility that makes working out a pleasure. I've been a member at Gold's Gym in L.A., the North Hollywood Health Club, the Cherry Creek Athletic Club, the Colorado Athletic Club, and a private gym in downtown Denver. None of those clubs were as clean and none were better equipped than the Planet Fitness you're complaining about. And on top of that, it's $10 per month! I'm delighted with my choice and look forward to several years of a "bag-free" floor and pleasant background music. read more

Management, Was just in the gym, which my wife and I have attended every day for the last two months. Was in the middle of running on the treadmill and was approached by a new hire about having my book bag beside my treadmill (there were less than ten people in the gym, 1 other on cardio.) he was incredibly rude and sarcastic in his tone. I simply replied, i'm in the middle of cardio and there's literally nobody around, to which he said sorry (sarcastically) that's policy. He then accused me of cursing at him, to which I told him I didn't. He went over and had a little pow wow with the rest of the relatively new workers and had one of them come over and ask if I cursed at him, to which I again replied no, I did not. My wife and I finished our cardio sessions and proceeded to leave but was stopped by both of them and told I was banned from the gym. My wife asked "why, because of a book bag" and the worker that initiated this entire confrontation replied "no because he cursed at me". Which again, is false. He then replied, you asked what I was gonna do about it (which I again, didn't) and he said "this is what i'm doing". I've never been treaded so incredibly poorly by a group of customer service "professionals" in my life. The normal weekday staff that is there has been incredibly professional and sincere while this new, weekend crew was a nightmare. read more

My wife and I were working out there tonight and she came up to me and complained that some guy was yelling really loud. I could hear the yelling thru my headphones and it was very loud. I went to complain at the front desk and they said that the guy yelling was a trainer. I explained to the staff that a good trainer does not have to yell so loud that everyone in the building can hear it. They said the trainer was in the army reserves so that tells me he is a drill sergeant wannabe and gets off by yelling loudly so everyone can see him. The staff member went and approached the guy, they talked and nothing happened. The guy kept yelling loudly. They were also blocking other people from using equipment such as kettle bells and TRX. Not everyone at this gym has headphones and some listen to the overhead music but it is impossible to listen to any music while this guy is yelling every few seconds. This is totally unprofessional and it is sad that the staff allows this type of disruptive behavior to go on in this facility. Shame on the staff for allowing this and shame on the drill sergeant wannabe who obviously is trying to impress others with how loud he can yell and who obviously does not know that he does not have to yell to be a trainer! This gym is huge and conveniently located. There is a field of equipment, downstairs and upstairs. The cardio machines are new and provide a lot of options for workouts. Tvs on them all with CC so you can read if you want or listen. I usually read the CC news channels while listening to music. There is plenty of space for you to grab a mat, ball whatever and get your workout on. Machines for everything and it's very clean. Staff is constantly cleaning it. The black card area is nice, the vibra shake machine is neat and the massage beds are nice. The chairs and lounge aren't worth the time. People there are normal, locker room is decently sized. They have real towels for you which is also a nice touch. I'm very happy with this club. read more
