She made us feel safe and comfortable from the very beginning, and gave clear instructions so we always knew what to do. She tailored our ride to how "spicy" we wanted to make it, so since it was our first time rafting, that made us feel great. The trip was the perfect level of excitement for us as beginners. It was fun, thrilling, and adventurous without ever feeling overwhelming. My sons, ages 10 and 13, had an absolute blast and want to plan another trip back. We even got to see a bald eagle along the river, it was phenomenal. The weather was perfect, and the whole experience was incredibly well organized. It's also just under two hours from Denver, making it a great day trip. We really appreciated the free parking, and they kept our car keys safely in the office while we were out on the river. We felt completely comfortable leaving everything else locked in our car. We couldn't have asked for a better first rafting experience. We would absolutely recommend them to anyone, especially families and first-time rafters. Definitely opt for the photo package too - the pictures we received were stunning and memorable. My last full day visiting the Denver area and I was looking to something kind of quick to do. I…read morethought this museum would fit the bill, so I came! The best part is that it has FREE Admission!! I parked out in the lot just off E. Alameda Pkwy near the front of the Aurora Municipal Center. I was kind of stumped as to where to enter the museum. I walked past the cool sculpture called "Light Of Dawn" by Rafe Ropek. If you keep walking on that sidewalk, you will find the entrance is at the far end of the building right near the gate/fence. I really wanted to see the 1913 Street Car Trolley! It is in a room all by itself. It has been immaculately restored! I like the vintage ads inside! There's lots of information about transportation, too! You can learn how Aurora started out and grew! There was a Buckingham Square Mall that opened in 1971. It had two Palace Guard mascots named Buck and Ham. It was demolished in 2007. It was rebuilt into what is now Gardens On Havana shopping center. I was fascinated to learn that there in a Mission Viejo neighborhood in Aurora. It was modeled after the Mission Viejo in Orange County, CA! In the exhibit of "Growing Home Aurora", there's an extensive collection of memorabilia! I found out that Niagara Bottling, LLC has a plant in Aurora! I wandered through the "Mosaic of Cultures: Aurora's Mexican Community" area. For history's sake, I should have eaten at La Cueva. It is featured in this area. The founders of the restaurant immigrated to the U.S. in the 1950's. There's an exhibit called "Tatanka: The Spirit of the Land" that has lots of beautiful Bison paintings by Arturo Garcia. On my way out, I picked up A Guide to Aurora, too! It lists landmarks and historic sites with pictures. It was great to learn about Aurora!

They have such a diverse knowledge about the history of Aurora and some of Colorado so feel free to ask questions. I learned a lot about Aurora. It gets such a bad rep and is most well known for tragedies. I never knew there was such history about this city. The hit of the museum and a must see is the trolley. I wish Denver had kept the trolley running so it made it special like in San Francisco. What a wonderful piece of Colorado history at the museum. You can also walk and sit in the trolley as well. The price was excellent for a three-hour tour. We were originally scheduled for a tour a few days later but rain was in the forecast so Tom let me and my husband switch to an earlier day. It was almost 100° out the day we had our tour, so we appreciated the frequent stops to make sure we were drinking enough water and staying hydrated. He brought a ton of water for each of us and was constantly asking if we needed more water. He also brought sunscreen. With all of our frequent stops our tour ran almost an hour late. That wasn't a problem because we didn't have anything else scheduled afterward, but we were starving because our tour started at 10:00 and ended at 2:00. I would rather have started the tour at 9:00 instead so we could have finished earlier. But I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see the Denver area. It really helped us to get to know the city better and find our way around.

It ruined our last night in town as we missed our dinner reservation and after dinner plans - which didn't concern the driver in the least. Other lowlights were listening to the guide drone on and on about his life and opinions, pulling over THREE times as one lady thought she maybe saw some wildlife waaaayyy in the distant woods, and spending much too long in a small town where half the stores were closed so the gondola opters could have their unscheduled fun and the tour company could grab a few extra dollars.

The tour lasted a little over 4 hours and is considered a half-day experience. Our guide, Aaron, was awesome! He is super friendly, funny, and full of great info about Denver and its history. Pickup was right in front of Union Station, and the tour started right on time (a few people in our group were running behind, of course haha). We made several stops along the way, and every single one had amazing views. We even got to see some wildlife: bighorn rams, elk, and a fox! Aaron was great about pulling over so everyone could grab photos whenever we spotted something cool. There were about 11 of us in total, which made it feel like a nice small group instead of a big crowded tour. It was our first time exploring the Rocky Mountains, and we're so glad we chose Aspire Tours. I would definitely recommend them...and don't forget to tip your guide.

There is a camp host that doesn't do anything from what we have seen! (in all honesty - I have never seen him/her) You get free laundry BUT it consists of 2 washers and 2 dryers and since we have been here 1 wash has not worked! So 1 washer for all the campers!?!?!?! Also, it smells of sewage - and when you take a walk around the campground you can see where it is coming from and they are "working" on it as it has caution tape around it BUT we have never seen anyone working on it. The only reason I get 2 stars from me is the sites are big and you have some grass spots. We will NOT be returning to this famcamp again.

I took out the two laundry room garbage cans that sat full for several days. Unable to get rental cars delivered on base and nothing on base to help us get around, I have a class c and I'm scared to tow. I was fine walking but not my family. I am a single parent. No base pool, nothing to do on base. Was informed by handicapped veteran no water hookups for years in handicap RV sight. Walked off base, to meet someone I previously met, to get a ride. Base exercise went into affect. Visitor center said it would last one hour, SPs said two. Wasn't informed ahead of time of exercise, which is understandable, and base lockdown. Was told I couldn't get back on base to my child and we was from out of state, no one else was with us and my child cannot drive. Didn't matter either way base was locked down. Called the fam camp for possible assistance, no answer, phone went straight to hang up. Probably due to exercise. Cried! I know this was a me problem. Thank God for SP Tech Sgt Dailey who truly helped me feel better about the situation! Finally, after many hours, got back to my child as a courtesy. I will never stay on a military base, fam camp again. I needed to get my RV, get off base and get a screw out of the tire but couldn't. Almost full day of vacation wasted. This felt frustrating. Of course I'm grateful for the exercise and the purpose of it! I understand they were doing what they had to do. Other than this, base was quiet, nice. I lost $40 because I let fam camp know two days in advance I was leaving ahead of my scheduled check out. Had another reservation at fam camp Hill AFB. Cancelled 10 days in advance, because I didn't want to go through this situation again, and was charged a $10 cancellation fee and told it wasn't far enough in advance to get someone to fill the spot. I did eventually get that refunded. These two incidences have taught me never stay on base again. I liked staying on base due to feeling safe but I cannot willingly put myself into this situation again. I appreciate our service members and preparedness exercises but this was a very difficult vacation! However, could have been a much more difficult vacation so I do feel grateful. Just know if you stay on base, and there's an exercise that you don't know about, you won't be able to get back on base to your family for several hours.
