The Columbine Memorial is a place of peaceful reflection and observance of what happened on April 20, 1999. The committee that created and oversaw its construction did a wonderful job as this is one of the most beautiful memorial sites that Ive been too. To visit this location go around to the back of the high school and follow the path to the top of the hill that overlooks Clements park.

Incredibly touching and sobering to step into this memorial and consider the heartbreak felt by the community. It was moving to see small windows into the lives of those who died, as well as those who continue to grieve them.

This was an emotional experience going to this memorial for the first time, 20 years after that dreadful day in April 1999. Reading the inscriptions of each of the twelve students plus Coach Dave Sanders were very moving. The location of the memorial is hidden, in a way. In making the turn off of Pierce Street from where the main campus of Columbine High School is (and it is a campus due to how massive the school grounds are), you'll have to park adjacent to a couple of baseball/softball fields. Walking up a hill was unexpected, yet not bad. After all, you ARE in Colorado- get use to hills. After reaching the top of the hill, the memorial is on the left. Like anything else, the experience at the memorial is uniquely your own. One thing that I took from the experience of being here is a quote written on one of the many inscriptions within the memorial plaza- remembering how the Columbine victims lived, as opposed to how they died. Another inscription that I read is also one of the questions that are still relevant to this day- Have we learned anything from the Columbine experience? This is a question that may be classified as TBD (to be determined). Columbine victims, you'll never be forgotten. I certainly won't, or can't.

Absolutely beautiful, despite the reason why this place exists. I had the opportunity to visit this on the anniversary of that fateful day with a friend who volunteered at Columbine with the Red Cross following the shooting.

Very somber and reverent feeling while there. Everyone who remembers the Columbine school shooting and has the opportunity to visit should do so, first to honor those innocent victims who lost their lives that fateful day, and second, so that we will "Never Forget." The memorial doesn't really have directions or signage to it so you may need to look at Google Maps to find the exact spot. It's located on top of a small hill in Robert F. Clement park which neighbors Columbine High School to the North and is where they sent most of the students to run to during the shootings. The memorial is on the north side of the school and is slightly obscured by new softball fields built in the area, one of which is dedicated to Dave Saunders, the teacher and coach killed during the shootings. The memorial is a few hundred yards directly west of the field which bears his name.

Before we left Colorado, we were in the area and I just had to stop by and pay respects. This terrible event really shaped me as a kid. The memorial was very peaceful. Sad but peaceful. So glad the city created this little spot.

The horror that occurred at Columbine High School in 1999 happened during my 2nd year as a teacher. This event shook me to my core, and immediately changed me as an educator. While visiting Denver, I felt compelled to visit this memorial and pay my respects. The memorial, although near ball fields and the actual school, seems to be tucked away into a little nook of its own. Although heartbreaking, I loved reading the tributes and descriptions of each victim. The different quotes found on the wall that surrounds the memorial were so powerful. It's definitely a peaceful place to reflect and remember not just the horrors of that day but also what we can do to prevent future events.

Really nice memorial for all the lives taken on April 20, 1999. We visited the memorial with family and spoke to our younger children about the incident as we walked around the outside of the school campus. My prayers continue for all of the families and that each family will remain connected to God through Jesus and allow him to bring them daily peace and understanding.

Contemplative, silence, beautiful and needed. This memorial is a testament to the victims and the community.

I bought the tickets and knew that there wouldn't be a bad seat in the place, but with it being my favorite play, I chose the front row. It did not disappoint as we were a little raised from the stage so you're not looking up straining your neck the entire time. The refreshments sold are of a wonderful variety and the canned bloody mary was delicious! I do wish they had cup holders simply because I'm accient prone. I would love to see another play here soon!

That creates a very small space for the people next to each other to put their legs. I was in seat C13, hubby was in C12 and the 6ft. tall lady in C11 had to vie for leg room. I believe the seats are original to the theater. My seat was lumpy and not at all comfortable. It was directly behind the seat in front of me so I had to lean to the side to see the stage. That said, the building has a very interesting history. It was originally built in the 1920's as the Town Hall for Littleton. A fire truck was kept in what's now the lobby and there was a jail in the basement. The whole building has a historical feel. The staff was friendly and welcoming and their production of Avenue Q was excellent. Parking is along Main Street which could be a challenge so I recommend arriving early.

This year, I went early season on Clear Creek and loved it so much I came back late season for Gore Canyon- an adrenaline-packed, fun adventure! The day started with a swim test to make sure everyone was prepared before tackling Class V rapids. (Honestly, if you're not a strong swimmer, this trip isn't for you, they do test your swimming in the rapids and throughout the trip over half of the people across our 5 rafts ended up in the water at some point! Additionally this would be quite the dive into the deep end if you've never rafted before!) The trip was an incredible mix of thrills, skill, and crazy beautiful scenery you would not have guessed was there when you drive into Kremmling. Midway through, we stopped for snacks, and when we wrapped up, the crew served a delicious lunch and cold beers (NA options were there too!) such a nice touch after a big day! What sets Liquid Descent apart is the crew. Every guide I've had has been dedicated to making the trip special. I've talked to them and many of them have said they specifically choose to work here because of the company's extra training and the sense of community. I even met the owner yesterday at Gore Canyon, and you can tell the company's passion for customer experience comes directly from the top. Specifically the last 2 guides I've had, Jordan and Malia have been awesome! Yes, most rafting companies use the same put-in/take-out points and similar gear but the experience is what makes the difference. With Liquid Descent, the guides make sure it's the best it can be and their love for their job ensures you're going to have a great time. I've rafted with other companies in locations where liquid descent isnt and know: the right guide changes everything. If you're looking for an unforgettable rafting trip in Colorado, Liquid Descent is the company to go with!

I was so nervous walking in, but from the moment we arrived, every single staff member made us feel welcomed, safe, and supported. Our guide, Koa, was the perfect balance of fun, kind, and incredibly skilled. He guided us through the rapids with such confidence and ease while also making sure everyone felt safe and included. He checked in on us several times throughout and made sure we were having fun, asked us if we wanted to "spice it up" a bit or keep it mellow and just really let us know this was "our" trip and he's cater to what we wanted. I quickly found myself letting go of fear and enjoying the moment... something I didn't expect would happen. Koa's energy was contagious, and his calm, respectful nature made us feel like we were in the best hands possible. At one point on the river, another rafting company had a mishap and we had to pull over and wait for them to recover and get their riders back into the raft safely. Koa explained what had happened with total grace - no judgment, no gossip - just a calm and respectful explanation. He also spoke so kindly of his own coworkers and even the owner of Liquid Descent. You could tell he genuinely cares about the rafting community and takes pride in his work and LOVES his Liquid Descent family! Every employee we encountered was friendly, encouraging, and helpful - from getting us fitted with helmets and life jackets to cheering us on as we headed out. As someone who started out nervous, that kind of supportive vibe made a huge difference. They encouraged me, and they helped me push past my comfort zone in the best way possible. What a GREAT memory! We will remember this day not only for the thrill of the rapids, but for the kindness and heart of the people who guided us through it! If you are considering rafting in Colorado, go with Liquid Descent. I'm so glad we did!
