It was a regular cleaning and 100% insurance covered. I received a voicemail from North Washington dental on Oct 17th that I owe them $$. I called back and they said my insurance sent me the check instead of them, and multiple times they told me I cashed this check. I explained over and over I didn't receive any check. Called my insurance and they told me the claim was still open and they'll send me a check. However, North Washington sent a dept collector, but they messaged my parents and had my father's name on there. My parents were confused why they would owe money to a dentist they no longer go to. I called the dentist and tried to explain that the voicemail from OCTOBER was the ONLY communication I received about this situation. They insisted they reached out many times. Maybe they did, but it wasn't to me. Today I finally received the insurance check and went to the dentist to pay. They still charged me a fee (late fee I'm guessing? ) she didn't explain why, even though I told her again that I JUST received the check from insurance. Fast forward to this evening, she can't eat, the pain is radiating through her jaw. I called the after hours line and they said they will call us back during business hours and if it gets worse go to the ER. So my for the "do no harm" oath. This place is happy to overcharge you while ignoring patient care.
