I cannot say enough nice things about Colorado Kernels. I found this hidden gem through a mailer and decided to visit the store. Jannelle (the owner) was so very friendly and helpful. She gave us samples and they were so good, we bought about 10 bags. I'm even mailing gift baskets to friends/family back home. They're going to LOVE IT! I'm looking forward to hearing the praise once everyone receives their Christmas gifts and I plan on this turning into a yearly tradition. Great for birthday gifts to give throughout the year as well. I'm excited to have found this small business and look forward to supporting it. read more

Buttery, crunchy, perfectly seasoned magic that makes you want to buy the entire store and bathe in it. We dropped a solid $160 like responsible adults who definitely don't need more snacks, and honestly, that part was worth every penny. Too bad the experience came with a side of unhinged customer service from the white crazy lady with pockmarks all over her face. We had a few simple questions (you know, normal stuff like "what's in this flavor" and "is this gluten-free") and she looked at us like we'd just asked her to donate a kidney. Zero help. Maximum attitude. She was so rude to my sweet mother (my wife, mind you) that I genuinely thought we'd accidentally wandered into a popcorn-based hostage situation. Every sentence out of her mouth had the warmth and charm of a raccoon that just got woken up from a nap in a dumpster. Popcorn: 10/10, would marry. That particular employee: negative 47/10, would not trust her with my kettle corn let alone basic human decency. If you go, just pray you get literally anyone else working the counter. Bring your own popcorn questions... and maybe some emotional support snacks in case she decides to verbally assault you over a $160 bag of deliciousness. As soon as you walk in you get hit with the scent of popcorn! It smells amazing! While waiting I saw they had Pumpkin Spice Popcorn and got super excited and wanted to try it but wasn't sure if they did samples. The lady was super nice and offered me some to try and I absolutely loved it!!!! She saw how excited I was and noticed me looking for a mini bag and she ended up secretly making me one! My Mother in Law was also trying different flavors and everything we tried had an amazing flavor to it! We got 5 bags of popcorn 2 big 3 small for $22. We didn't notice till after they closed that she didn't even charge us for the mini one she freshly made for me! I will definitely be coming back for not only my self but gifts and telling everyone about them!!!! read more

Not good popcorn at all, SUPER STALE and burnt tasting. no flavor. Soooo overpriced. $5 for a tiny bag of gross popcorn. I threw away both the bags we got ($10 worth) AVOID. plus both bags were made with coconut oil, which is not good on popcorn. read more

We had a last minute idea to do popcorn for our cocktail hour at the wedding and Jolynn and Dave made it happen. They had our popcorn done a day earlier than expected and everyone we met at Colorado Kernels was very pleasant. They have great flavors and a lot of choices to choose from. We are addicted to their Cheddar Jalapeño Popcorn but, we love all the flavors we've tried. We live in California and have them ship us popcorn once a month. I have driven by Colorado Kernels store many times and seemed always a bit too rushed to stop in, but recently i did and i am glad i did so. I was pleasantly surprised to see such a well organized and very clean display of a wide variety of popcorn. Folks this isn't your typical department store place for popcorn. Its a serious little popcorn factory that makes gourmet bags of flavored fun. Jay, a nice young man wearing dental braces, welcomed me and proceeded to not only take the time to tell me about the place, but offer wonderful little cups of samples. Stopped by this store just looking for gift items and was amazed by the variety and flavors of popcorn. I have never been to a store like this. The lady behind the counter was extremely patient and helpful allowing us to sample many different flavors. Most of the samples I tasted were really good which only made it harder for me to choose which ones to buy for myself and those to give away as gifts. I thought the pumpkin, chocolate avalanche, peppermint, and bacon cheddar were pretty good. My wife tried other ones that she also liked as well. Overall it's a great little store. I would just like to say that I was curious at first since I only saw it when we drove by it so many times very late at night. We happened to be near it when it was day light and decided to drop in. Its a cute little store, but the smell of fresh popcorn really was the best! I got some little mini bags to try out, they were only $1.50 per bag and it was a decent handful worth of it. They had a lot of different types to chose from. The Cherry Cordial and Avalanche flavors caught my eye, drizzled in white and dark chocolate. Delicious! Both of them were great!
