Corn was trash, it was a mayonnaise and corn juice pool. Rusa was good. Service was friendly.

Honestly, the exterior doesn't look like much, but that's part of its charm. When we walked up, the young lady taking our order was really friendly and professional, which made the experience even better. Since it was our first time there, she helped us navigate the menu, and I appreciated that. The prices on the menu were reasonable, and I was pleasantly surprised by how generous the ice cream portions were. Although our food took a little while to come out, we didn't mind too much because we got to enjoy the ice cream while we waited. The staff were so warm and welcoming that it made the wait worth it. Overall, I think the friendly vibe and good value here will definitely bring me back for another visit!

We ordered hamburger combos, a pork loin tender sandwich, and a soft-serve dipped ice cream. The food was okay overall, but nothing really stood out. The hamburger, pork tenderloin sandwich, fries, and ice cream were all average. They were just okay, nothing to rave about. The biggest disappointment was the service. We ordered three combo meals, but one order of fries was missing. Since everything was packed into one small paper bag, we didn't notice until we were already seated outside and had started eating. When we went back to let them know, instead of simply replacing the missing fries, we were asked to gather all of our food, repack everything into the bag and bring it back so they could check the contents. It was hot and windy so having to pack everything up again was inconvenient and a bit upsetting I understand that they may have wanted to verify the missing item but it was not the most customer-friendly way to handle the situation, especially since we were still dining on-site. Overall, the experience was just average.

We were trying to recover from the physical indignity of ascending a mountain high enough that oxygen was treated as a luxury commodity. The government of Colorado apparently believes that every settlement in the entire state requires an abundant supply of frozen dairy. If true, this is an enlightened public policy. The shop was completely empty when we arrived. A lone young man stood behind the counter because his coworker was on break. He did not look at us with the despair usually reserved for a sudden crowd. He simply smiled and began scooping with the enthusiastic efficiency of a soldier waiting for reinforcements. I purchased a double scoop containing Salted Peanut Butter Cup and a flavor called Moose on the Loose. The second flavor contained enormous chunks of fudge that were buried deep within the cream like forgotten treasure. It was exactly the sort of heavy molecular fuel a human body requires after arguing with a giant rock. There was also a glass cooler filled with vintage sodas. Nostalgia routinely robs my wallet before my intellect can mount a defense. I purchased an RC Cola and spent ten minutes explaining to the members of our group born in the 90's that there was a time in human history when cola came in more than two respectable varieties. The ice cream was excellent and my history lesson was free. If you find yourself in Manitou Springs with tired lungs, you could do a great deal worse.

They literally only had three flavors to offer and said they were sold out of the rest. How can an ice cream store be out of almost every flavor in the middle of the day in March? If it was summertime and late in the evening, I could possibly understand why they might be out of a few flavors. However, to be out of every flavor and only have three to offer is unacceptable, I will never come back to this location. To whomever the owner of this store is, or the person who orders for this location, don't be such a slacker. Order the appropriate amount of flavors for your store so that customers won't chose Cold Stone instead. Don't be sorry, be better.

Last year, our grade level was able to walk to the restaurant and obtain ice cream for our students and staff. The manager even stated that she looked forward to 'doing it again next year.' However, what actually happened this year was rudeness and unprofessionalism. The manager tried to talk to someone on the phone and talk to me at the same time. I told her I would wait until she was off the phone. She finally stated that she would talk to me but when she finally got off the phone she was very brusque, did not give me a chance to speak and walked out after stating, ' we can't support that this year.' She can't support what business? Not only will we not be able to do the field trip this year but we have decided to start a new tradition of providing students with ice cream on our campus instead. She also lost me personally as a customer. The atmosphere in her store was very friendly last year but pretty nasty and unresponsive this year. I will not return. Rina K.
