This is legit Hawaiian style shave ice like Matsumotos on the Morth Shore--for like half the price!

I was visiting my daughter in Whitefield, Colorado, and we decided to try out Colorado Sno-Balls. It's a small snow cone shop where you can get custom-made snow cones. When you first walk in, there's a lot of Colorado memorabilia and the customer service was amazing. Everything is made to order so you do have to be a little bit patient if there's a crowd....trust me it is worth the wait! I got a traditional snow cone with grape, cherry and lemon lime flavoring (it was so delicious) My daughter got a snow cone filled with ice cream (I believe hers was the strawberry cheese cake flavor) My son-in-law got his covered in the condensed milk... there was a special term used for that. I don't remember what it was. If you have not been, definitely give them a try !! read more

This location is small, but mighty!!! it's nice and clean and very bright and welcoming. The workers are very friendly and very helpful when it comes to picking the right combinations. I changed my orders about three times and no one ever got upset or didn't show it anyway. And the snowcones are so delicious. I wanted ice cream with mine. One of the kiddos wanted the cream cap which is condensed milk and another kiddo wanted whipped cream. We all shared and everyone was so delicious. There was no lack of juice or flavor. And the price was nice. It's not something that we would do every day but since graduation season was upon us, we wanted to do a mini celebration with something sweet. Third time at this spot & every time this guy/ owner/ worker whoever he is is always rude. & it's towards my kids. He's must not be a fan of kids. Today, Saturday it's packed because of the food trucks happening in the parking lot. I have my three kids with me. My 3 year old made a little friend while we waited in line. The line wrapped around inside the shop. So the two were just running in a circle in the middle. He said if they could stop. We stopped our kids. We're all just standing in line. Where my family is standing is by a yellow chain. He STOPPED (only person in shop making snow ones) making a snow cone just to walk all the way where we were to say something about not going over the chain or not to touch. This guy is never happy. My family loves coming here, the snow"ball" is a staple in our house winter and summer alike and the owner and staff are always great!

Tried going to Colorado Sno-Balls with my two daughters and husband and when we got there the employee said they were closed. Their normal hours are til 8pm, but there was a sign on the door that said closed at 4pm Mother's Day; however there was another mom in there finishing up their order and we walked in when it was 3:58 (I know that can be annoying, but turning down a mom and her kids on Mother's Day blew my mind). Signs still said open, door was unlocked, my girls were super excited for snow cones, and the employee made them cry. read more

I stopped by here on 2 July 2025 at 1145. I drove out of the way to stop and hopefully support. Their hours are posted that they open 12pm. I waited until 1206 and decided to leave since the store is still closed. They had other customers waiting also and they decided to leave as well. read more

If you are looking for a quick cool me down on a hot day this place may do the trick. Sno-ball, snowcone, shave-ice, or whatever you want to call it, this place has some awesome flavors! My favorite so far is the Jamaican. Add some ice cream in the middle and YUM! Great spot to take the kids or sneak off without them to sneak one, I won't tell lol. read more

Ahhhhh sooo excited we found this place!!! My children absolutely adore this place. The flavor list is HUGE! I must take a picture next time. I know it's south, trust and believe, I get it, BUT! Best place for snow cones hands down! They are super affordable and load up on flavor. They have a TON flavors to choose from, plus a list of concoctions to choose from. There is even a kids menu, with everything from princess peach to Spiderman. You MUST get it snow-capped! You can get it stuffed with ice cream, caramel, more snowcap! My niece came into town and I decided to treat her and my daughter to sno-balls. I have been searching for the perfect place since moving here and missing my fav spot back home. When we arrived we were greeted with smiles, but the person who took our order was not very pleasing. I explained to him that it was our first time, but he continued to rush us. (we were the only customers there) He went to the back shortly after and we didn't see him anymore and everyone who took over turned the experience around. I understand we are humans and have our days, it just threw me off for my first experience. First and last time ordering from here. The only two employees in the store made me feel like ordering from this establishment was an inconvenience to them. I was the only customer in the store from the time I walked in to the time I left. The service was horrible. After paying, I waited 12 minutes (yes, I counted) for one SMALL snoball. I ordered without ice cream but before paying, I changed my mind and kindly asked for ice cream to be added. The employee didn't even start my order yet but made adding ice cream such a chore from the slamming of the cup to the NOT TO SUBTLE eye roll after hearing my request. The employees turned my order into a two-person job and while waiting, they were constantly and might I add, LOUDLY, laughing and continuing a story that must've started before I walked in. I didn't rush them or anything because their conversation was far more important than a paying customer. On top of that, the establishment was filthy. The floors were so sticky and had many syrup stains from the entrance to the counter. Instead of giggling, the employees should've been cleaning and keeping the store decent. read more

There's so many different options to choose from here. I only knew about the snocones (obviously) but recently went back in and they also have snow shakes! Super good I chose coffee, vanilla, and caramel to make it like an iced coffee and it was absolutely delicious! My boyfriend got the S'mores and caramel snow shake and I have to say it was the best thing I've tried here yet. Super good and affordable, very good sizes on the cups! read more

I was so happy to find it until today when I drove 30 minutes to get there, only to be immediately turned away and told they were closing until 6.
