Adriana has been cutting my hair since I was born. I've seen her technique continue to grow as I've gotten older and I can say with complete confidence you will not regret coming here. She never leaves her clients unhappy and ALWAYS explains how much time achieving your desired look requires. Let me tell you right now, if you are trying to go gray or any light color she will not over process your hair in one go because she believes in keeping your hair healthy. I went from dark brown hair to a light silver but it definitely took a while. Another note if you have colored your hair before or done ANYTHING to it, always always always tell her so she can make sure you get your desired look. Failing to note any previous processing to your hair could effect the outcome of color. And also keep in mind that her prices are reasonable already so don't try bargaining, you get what you pay for. Also be courteous and show up 10-5min before your appointment. Previously this was "Rosie's Hair Salon" but this salon has been rebranded as "Colour and Shears" Been coming to Adriana to get my hair done for over 16 years now. As a former traveling L'oreal Hair Expert and Educator, she knows the ins and outs of hair science and is very passionate about it as well. She teaches me a lot of things about my hair and color processes. I am a nerd so I always want to know how everything works and I am sooooooooooo appreciative of her time and her knowledge. I first came to Adriana when I worked in the area and my hair was a COMPLETE AND UTTER BLEACHED MESS. My hair was not growing. It broke and shed every time I washed it. She nursed it back to health within the first 6-8 months that I started coming to her. I now live over an hour away from her salon and will not go to anyone else because NO ONE and I mean NO ONE keeps my hair this healthy and looking this good. For the last 16 years I have had my bouts with Red, Blonde, Brown, Brownish, etc etc hair. I have had over conditioning issues, hair growth issues, dry scalp issues, etc. Adriana has taken care of ALL of them. I saw the young lady's gripe about giving Adriana a one star.. sorry hon you are just dead wrong for that. ANY GOOD SALON OR HAIRDRESSER WILL ALWAYS BOOK TWO IN THE SAME HOUR. It is just the nature of the business and not only that, most of the times, the client is sitting and waiting for their color process (which takes 25-45 minutes in any given visit). In addition, she cannot control people who come late. I come over an hour to see Adriana because I don't live in the area. Sometimes I have come 15 mins or 30 min late because of traffic... which sets her back as well... not her fault. If you've been to any salon AT ALL you will know you do not get seen on time.. so again young lady you are dead wrong for your review... read more

Never coming back. I been going for a year (every 2 months) re-touch my hair. I always do 3 weeks in advance appointments, last time í went my appointment was at 10am. í arrive at 9:55am, it is Cold outside, her door is open and she has these nice sofas. í arrive and she was in her desk and ask me to step outside and wait since she opens at 10am. Really?? it is cold outside! It was just 5min! I am no stranger. She calls me in at 9:59am. On top of that when done she charges me more than usual because she said she had to raise the prices.....why couldnt she tell me that when í did the appointment over the phone? Or before starting. After a year going í would expect her to be friendly. Nope. Pure business. read more

Absolutely love the place. It has a Gothic shabby chic decor. Large mirrors, dark colors and purples. You wouldn't have imagined that by the way the area looks outside. I've only been here for haircuts but I've seen when she does others make up and hair dyes and oh boy! I'm super impressed. I'm growing out my hair and bangs so I've only been here 2 times in the span of a year. They do a wonderful job in blending layers and in keeping the length but trimming the ends. We all know that that usually means loosing an inch or two, so when you are growing out your hair it's frustrating to see those two inches gone! Sad that I now live further away from.this place, if not I would go again for my next trim. She's a very friendly and relatable person. The prices are also reasonable.
