My orthopedist at JOI wrote me a prescription for physical therapy and what a difference it made. Over about 4 months my muscles were stronger and I learned how to walk without a limp. My husband, who has sciatica, was helped so much with strength training and massage by Kelly Downs. Dr. Joanna Frantz is a brilliant physical therapist who can guide you to start moving again. I highly recommend In Motion.

Highly recommend! I have received physical therapy in multiple clinics to help with frequent…read moremigraines, and the care I've received at Premier is topnotch. After moving to Jacksonville I wanted a therapist trained in Dry Needling, which I have found to be extremely helpful in the past. It seems that Florida only recently allowed this technique to be used (despite the fact that is accepted as standard care across the U.S., Europe, and Australia) and because it is so new to the state there are few PTs licensed to conduct this form of therapy. Dr. Jessica Grochowsky is fully licensed in this modality, and is very skilled in all the other "regular" types of PT as well. Within weeks, she has helped my migraines scale down massively, and calmed some other chronic pain I have. For those of you who have been lucky enough to not need physical therapy, let me explain one of the (many) ways this clinic is great. At many clinics, you see the therapist for a short time and then they have you on exercise equipment (usually with minimal supervision) for the rest of the time. At Premier, you are with the therapist for the full appointment, receiving his/her undivided attention. In that time they use multiple techniques and tools on you, all focused on getting you better. This clinic is also not the type that subscribes to the "no pain, no gain" philosophy - they are as gentle as they can be while still getting results. Before or after your appointment you will also have time to use their facilities to do the prescribed exercises while supervised by trained specialists. I'm really glad I found this clinic - everyone in the clinic is SUPER nice, has a great sense of humor, and is fully invested in helping patients feel better. And in just a few weeks my pain levels have massively decreased in frequency and intensity.

I was a patient here for a week because my physician recommend I attend a wound care facility after…read moremy surgery. I would have to say that the physical and occupational care team were the best and deserve all the highest rating possible for such a facility. That being said, I can not say the same for some of the other staff members/ health care providers who work there. They often use agency staff members to fill in on days that they are short staffed. it's clear that a majority of the agency works don't really care about the patients and treat it as if it's just another paycheck since they get paid by day. That being said I did find the regular employees to be pleasant and treat the elderly residents well. In the long run, I would not recommend sending any of my loved ones there as a long term or short term solution and would highly recommend that if you are thinking about this place for an elderly loved one, please visit them first when going your research. Although it is located in a nice part of town, surely there are other centers I would consider first.

My 86 year old Dad was taken to this facility for physical therapy. He arrived early afternoon from…read morethe hospital. We arrived at 3:30 pm only to find him in a dingy, dirty room. The facility smelled like urine and feces. Upon entering his room, he had a very noisy oxygen machine that had no water hooked up and he had a small container of tea that was "sweetened" with ? I took it to the nurses station and asked what kind of sweetener it was as he's a diabetic. They DIDN'T know so I asked for a cup and some thickener and some water as the elderly need this to avoid aspiration. They said that the kitchen staff takes care of that. Really? The man has been here for 3 hours with nothing to drink and he's thirsty. They finally brought him a container of no sugar thickened drink with NO cup to drink out of. There were red flags going off every minute he was there. My husband finally said we can't leave him here. I left and got his vehicle as we traveled from Michigan and didn't have room in our car for him. He signed the AMA, whatever that is and he did NOT get a copy of it. I talked to his nurse and she arrived at work at 3 pm and NEVER read his chart. It was 4:45 pm. He was dressed and ready to go when I got back. We asked if we could use a wheelchair to take him to the entrance and the nurse said NO! He signed the AMA and he couldn't use any equipment. What the hell! My Dad is on oxygen and is 86 years old! Luckily, I brought his portable oxygen unit and his walker. He had to walk out. I would NEVER take anyone to this uncaring, uncompassionate, unprofessional facility. He is strong enough that he didn't need their services. Thank you Jesus for my Dad's strength. Stay far away from this place.
