I've used Wes for home inspections twice now and he doesn't miss a single thing. His insights saved us from buying a money pit on our first attempt. When we found a new home we called him up again for the inspection process. His background in such a wide variety of construction fields gave us a lot of insight into how well the home was built and what we needed to ask for when it came to repairs. He picks up on things that I would never have thought to even look at. He is also a wealth of knowledge and while he is able to answer almost any question I ask him, he is also quick to admit if something is outside his field of expertise, which I really appreciate. His reports are really comprehensive and have a lot of photos which makes it really easy to show the seller what they need to fix for me to buy the home. The home inspector is probably the most important part of purchasing a new home. I know our agent just wants to sell us anything to get their commission but the inspector has no alternative agenda and really only my (the client) best interests in mind. I don't trust anyone in the home buying process more than I trust the inspector. You won't find Wes on the real estate agents list of "preferred inspectors" because he is thorough and does't serve them lay ups. In fact the agent for the house we bought even commented "where did you find that guy" haha. The agent and the builder were clueless when it came to national building codes, fortunately Wes knew what he was talking about and was quick to call them out on errors no matter how big or how small. After the inspection, we had Wes come out again to review the repairs and again we got a lot of really good information not just about the house but also how to maintain it, things to watch out for, etc. He also adds an air of authority to the whole thing as the builders were real quick to address any additional concerns he had about a few minor issues that he pointed out as still lingering. I really can't speak highly enough about his expertise and competency. I've dealt with maybe a dozen different inspectors in my years and Wes is in a totally different class, I will recommend him to anyone I meet purchasing a home (new OR used). read more
