doctors are good at what they do and everyone was nice but it wasn't worth the 1 hour wait. 2nd appointment in a year, and both times had to wait over 1 hour. If you don't mind waiting that long its not bad but I personally have never waited that long to see a doctor before. read more

Tried to set up an appointment for the first time, they do NOT except Tricare for vision checks, just the medical part of vision.

Desk staff pleasant and efficient. the technicians are either overworked or have no interpersonal skills or both. staffing appears to be a consistent problem. They do not greet the patient or utter a single pleasantry. After waiting over an hour, a girl stuck her head in to announce I was third in line. I mentioned my long wait and said I would have to leave at 11am and she shrugged and said something to effect of whatever and closed the door. About 10 minutes later she came back and said he would be another ten minutes. some kind word of explanation would go a long way with patients. The doctor is fine but the staff seems to be going through the motions. this experience is not a one off--it's a pattern. read more

On May 9th 2024 I had my first cataract surgery on my left eye. February 20th 2025 is coming up in a few days and I will have my right eye done. From start to finish the staff at Columbia Eye Clinic have been fabulous. Dr Mintz is my eye surgeon and his experience and expertise and overall doctor/patient relationship is a factor in having my second eye done. The Columbia Eye Clinic is a well organized and empathetic surgery center and I value Dr Mintz and his staff very highly. read more

AS a senior, I'd hope to get some intelligent answers to my simple queries. But to no avail! If you are not in network...say so! Don't have the patient thinking ALL is OK with the billing. After all was completed and surgery on the books I received a call 3pm 3 days before surgery to discuss billing!!! That is when I received my answers. Not really my answers, after the expensive amount., I told them NO...I'll find a IN Network place. I did and the cost is lower. They waited that late, with info of a price that would not be charged IF in netword. I was hihgly disappointed when after all of my questions and comments were ignored on my 2 previous visits. I called my insurance company and got another DR., and another appointment. Plus they won't give me my records. Plus they would not give me the info to visit closer to my home. read more

After two eye exams and the fourth try on my prescription lenses, I still have the worst pair of prescription glasses I have ever been prescribed, and I've been wearing glasses for years. I have to wear my old glasses that I got from another eye clinic when I had my previous eye exam about a year and a half earlier to drive. I have to wear my old glasses to do anything except when sitting at my computer. Even then the vision isn't well corrected in my right eye. I was told that no more attempts to adjust the prescription would be done after the fourth time. In hindsight, I should have asked for a refund and gone somewhere else. Needless to say, I will not return to Columbia Eye Clinic in the future. read more

I have never left a review, negative or otherwise, but I feel compelled to now. First, the doctor was fine and the short time I spent with him during two visits was adequate. However I waited an hour for my follow up appointment which was scheduled by the office staff incorrectly which resulted in a week longer wait for an answer on peripheral vision loss. After an MRI following my first visit, I never received a phone call with the results, even though the nurse said she would call me back after I had left two messages. They attempted to take pictures of my eyes without dilation, but fixed the mistake, which resulted in a longer wait during a visit. They had no record of me paying for my first visit and tried to charge me twice, had my name incorrect on the forms, my address was incorrect twice after I spelled it for them.... I guess if one or two of these things had happened, I would have forgotten about it but when you add it all up it equals and extremely frustrating experience. read more

I have been seeing both Dr Wild and Dr Barker for several years due torecurring vision problems related to Multiple Sclerosis. I've had cataract surgery and laser surgery. I have always been treated with the best care by them and the staff. read more

Got two pair of glasses made ones for daily wear and sunglasses. The glasses were not checked for imperfections and unfortunately the sunglasses (lens) have dark spots all through them. I paid over $1,000 for both pair and do expect better. I had problems looking at my cell phone and kept seeing dark spots but thought maybe they needed to be cleaned. Held them up but could see nothing until I put them in front of my computer screen bright light and there are dark spots all through the lens. I have to go back which is not easy with chronic back disease plus when I called she did not bother to say she was sorry for what I am going through. My husband tried to talk me out of getting glasses there but I put my faith in them. Will not do it again. That means two more trips which like I say is not easy on me. For what I paid expect perfect glasses and for the person in charge should have made sure of that before I made a trip to pick them up. I do feel like this could have been prevented. When the glasses are received back they should be checked for flaws. read more
