Dr Zuba was easy to talk too and explained everything in simple terms. They have the new machine where it takes a picture of your eye instead of dilation and that awful puff of air. Insurance had a $39 co-pay but I'm happy to do that vs the air puff and pupil dilation . The staff was very friendly and not pushy with buying frames. read more

I booked this visit after being told my exam would be covered by insurance. At check-in, the office staff confirmed that the exam was in fact free. After the exam, I was charged an additional $40 for "new imaging" instead of dilation. The doctor mentioned this technology but did not disclose that it would cost extra. That is not acceptable. Patients should be clearly informed of any additional charges before services are performed. When I raised the issue, staff did not provide a clear explanation or attempt to address the concern. This was not transparent and did not meet basic expectations for patient communication. I would not recommend this office based on this experience. read more

Dr. Zuba is one of the most kind individuals I have ever met. He took his time explaining everything as we were going through the process and his personality and knowledge is a 10/10! I took my daughter in again to see him for her yearly check up. She needed a prescription change for her glasses. Money is tight, so I told them I'd like to keep her current glasses frames, and just change the lenses (which would require her to be without glasses for a week or two). The Doctor was SO sweet. He excused himself for about 15 min, and came back with a back up pair of glasses! He had taken out the lenses, melded a new frame, and inserted the lenses into the frames, so we could send her current frames to get the new lenses in them. This was SO kind and thoughtful. My daughter can now continue her studies the next week or two, without interruption. Last year we lived only minutes from his office. We moved to Lexington and it's now a 30 minute drive. But gestures and kindness like this are keeping me going back to his office! read more

I cannot say enough about Dr. Zumba and his entire staff!! The things Dr Zumba taught me about my eyes, stress and pressure?!? He's brilliant, compassionate and very insightful. I feel truly blessed to have had the opportunity to be treated by him. BUT let's not leave out Rachel and Katherine! They are both very knowledgeable about the frames available, face shape, the size of the lenses-that's huge when getting new glasses and trying progressives again. I been coming to this office for over five years. Doctor knows me by name and remembers all the small details about my life and always remember our last visit even after a year. He lets me know my progress and the direction I am heading when it comes to my eye exams. When I got fitted for contacts he made sure I knew how to properly place them in and out my eyes before signing off on them which Made me feel very comfortable.
