Don't be fooled by previous ratings. I took my daughter here some months ago. The doctor was nice but the whole experience went downhill after the screening. The woman who was helping my daughter find glasses she liked had an attitude and outright insulted me twice! I resolved to never go back. Please note that I didn't make a bad review at that time. I decided to let it go and move on. Fast forward a few months, my daughter's glasses broke and I decide to order her a pair online. I call to get her prescription. They gave me all the numbers except the pupillary distance (which you must have to order glasses). I was told I would need to bring her in to get it remeasured and I would need to pay $10. So then I asked for her pupillary distance from the glasses we bought from them. They REFUSED to give it to me and said it was against office policy to give it out. My husband then got on the phone and informed them that this was part of her medical record which we have a right to under HIPPA laws. We are now awaiting a call from the office manager within a few days because he is out of town. Don't use this office. They are literally in violation of the law and they are just plain rude. read more

I have been going to this eye doctor for over two years and have started to see the customer service desk slide tremendously. We were told the wrong price originally to get contacts with our insurance coverage. It ended up being over $100 cheaper which would've allowed for us to get them earlier than we did. We ordered the contacts and had to buy an extra pair because we were told they wouldn't be in for seven business days only for them to come in the very next day. The staff is very short and rude to customers. It's almost as if they are bothered by assisting others. We will not return and after 2 years will be finding another optomitrist. Love the Optomitrist, not so much with the support staff. read more

I called to schedule an appointment with Drs. Eyecare for a regular eye exam in order to renew my current contact prescription. During the phone call, I asked how much the bill would be ahead of time and I was told the cost would come out to be $95. I go there and have basically a routine ten minute eye exam, just to come out having to pay not what I was told but a higher amount of $160. I went ahead and paid the bill, confused as to why it was so expensive. When I returned home, I checked my notes (from the phone conversation) to verify that it was $95 that I was told on the phone; it confirmed that I was indeed scammed for more money. I then called the eye doctor, who seemed to be the one in charge, and told him I was quoted $95 for this exam and we argued over the billing. I told him that I would NOT argue over the billing that Drs Eyecare LIED about what services cost. I told him I would give him one chance to make the bill right and HONOR the original quote of the eye exam. He refused and stated it was services rendered. I told him I would turn him into the South Carolina Better Business Bureau for scamming People on Fraudulent Billing Practices, which is Criminal, as well as Leaving a detailed review about my experience with DRS Eyecare on Social Media. Bottomline: I DON'T Recommend that anyone use DRS EYECARE. They are NOT HONEST in their Billing. I was LIED to and STOLEN from. I'm a Veteran of twp Gulf war Conflicts and TRUST me I know what Honor is and what good Character is. DON'T USE THEM there's too many Eye Care Practices to choose from who are Honest in their billing and of Good Character. If you do use them for an eye exam, I advise you to ask them what the bill for services will be on the phone. Then, ask them what the bill for services will be when you show up for your appointment and tape record on your phone what they quote you on the bill before services are rendered. Judging from reviews on other social media websites, I'm not the only person scammed in billing by them. read more

I scheduled an appointment on May 7th for the 18th at 8:45 am. When I arrived they stated that I did not have an appointment. They are included in providers on my insurance website but stated they don't take my insurance. A staff member treated me in a truly unprofessional manner because I did not know who the UNDERWRITER of my insurance was. read more

Today was my first visit here and I saw Dr Brian. My visit was so much better than my last eye visit at another clinic it's almost comical. At my last one I had to wait over an over even though I had an appt and after an hour with no end in sight I walked out!! Today on the other hand, I arrived a little early was able to fill out paperwork quickly and Dr Brian took me back a few minutes early. To say I was pleased with their service would be an understatement. He was funny and very personable while at the same time educating me about what was going on with my vision. Picking out frames afterwards was also an easy process and I can't wait to go back and pick up my new glasses next week! Highly recommend! read more

Love this office! The staff is friendly and professional. You can tell they have all worked together for a long time by all of the friendly banter. The doctors are very nice and very thorough with the exams. I didn't feel rushed and like I was just another number. I could tell that they had patients who had been coming there for years. They have an amazing selection of glasses and contacts in stock. I will definitely refer my family, coworkers and friends. read more

They really helped me here. I previously went to a different eye dr in NC that was awful (put me on contact lenses without taking into account that I needed reading glasses too, so I ended up unable to use the contacts... long story). I told Dr Brian Cannon about that and emphasized that I needed help for distance and reading; he immediately tried me out on multi focus and that was exactly what I needed. Resolved both far and near vision problems. So nice to have a competent doctor. read more

As a first time patient at Dr's EyeCare I was very, very pleased. I've been going to america's best for the longest time --don't go there-- Anyways, the building is fairly new -- nice and spacious. The staff were welcoming, helpful and very friendly. I saw Dr. Brian Cannon. He was very personable & upfront. He listened to my concerns with wanting to switch to contacts for my upcoming wedding but hold on to my glasses as well. I have never had good luck with contacts - last time I wore them was in 2003, with a brief run (that didn't go well at all) late last year. His 1st pick for trial contacts was right on so far! I haven't had a problem yet.. Finger crossed! The Eye exam was thorough & all questions answered. After the exam I went to look at frames. There are so many different options of frames to choose from, which is always a plus, and the ladies upfront helped me find the perfect ones! I like that they actually give you their honest opinion of how certain frames looked on me instead of just saying "oh i like those." They explain all your options for the frames, warranties and make sure all questions are answered. I was in and out within an hour which is amazing!! Oh and it's a family practice! I think thats is pretty awesome! read more

The office staff was not friendly and definitely not welcoming. Neither receptionist smiled nor thanked me for my business. This is a brand new office in Irmo but I much prefer the friendliness and congeniality of the office staff in the old location!! I will not be back to this office. read more
