We booked 2 full day reservations for our four year old golden retriever so that we could spend time enjoying GNP and I am beyond happy we did. Calvin (our pup) we could tell had a blast because he was exhausted when we picked him up after the first day and was sooo excited when we pulled in the second day. The owners were beyond friendly and put us at such an ease leaving Calvin somewhere we had never been before. Thank you thank you thank you! I travel often with my dog and also love to hike. I'm so frustrated that my dog can't hike with me in our national parks, but I've made it work across the country. When looking at glacier national, I realized there is nowhere to board a dog on the east side of the park and the going to the sun road is still closed due to snow right now. So I reorganized my trip to visit the west side. Columbia mountain kennels was the top hit on yelp and I understand why. Will made it very easy for me to book my dog with only a days notice. He is so kind and takes time to get to know his customers and their dogs. He has an expansive yard and lets the dogs play outside all day. He also takes all dogs given their vaccinated. My dog was exhausted!!! And I felt comfortable leaving him here. The business is run out of a house that is just a few miles outside the park. Highly recommend! read more

I was in the area for my wedding and then flew out of Kalispell for the honeymoon. We travel full time in an RV and have a dog, so we needed somewhere to take our dog for two weeks. It's always a little nerve racking finding a new facility to leave our dog but I felt 100% comfortable leaving her here. The owners were so incredibly friendly and obviously were very comfortable with all kinds of dogs. You can tell by how many dogs they board that they run a good business. I unexpectedly needed a dog-friendly space so I could spend the day hiking in Glacier NP. Andrea and Will to the rescue! The kennel was a little hard to find because the sign is hard to read but it's very conveniently located just south of town on 2. I dropped off my pup after calling the same morning, check in was a breeze and Andrea was so sweet! They were very patient with all my questions having never boarded my dog before. Spoke only with Will, but this is a family business. They have 200+ dogs go through there each week, but the reason is they're spectacular! My timid dog did just fine with them, they got him to eat, play, and even LOOK FORWARD to going back! Next time we visit Glacier, we will definitely work with Columbia Kennel!! read more

I boarded my dog here off and on this summer for something around 20 nights while I worked in the area. They always had space for him, even when I booked just one or two days ahead of time. The set up is as follows: a cool garage with large, fence-material kennels. Dogs from the same family could be boarded together, I saw. Then, three separately fenced regions of the backyard for dogs of different activity-levels. The dogs went out in and out in shifts, with plenty of play and rest time. Freddy always finished his stay pleasantly tired out and rather filthy from running circles in the yard with the other dogs. The dirt wasn't great, but I was happy he got lots of social time. My dog is really playful and it was great for him. The owners seemed genuinely loving and affectionate with the dogs, and were always quite helpful and accommodating. The only negative was one time, Freddy got nipped in the face. Freddy can pester other dogs to play rather incessantly, he probably annoyed the pants off the other dog. These things happen sometimes, I don't think it was the establishment's fault, but it did happen. read more

Lovely and convenient location for dog owners needing to leave their pooches while hiking in Glacier NP! Andrea and Will are very nice and know what they are doing. Great price too. We did not visit the kennel itself (where our dogs actually stayed at night) but they looked happy when we picked them up. One small thing though: Andrea should have told us on the phone when we booked that they require vaccination records. I discovered this the day of while looking at their website. My sister and I kept our puppy here while we explored Glacier. Being that Pierre was only 14 weeks old, we were really worried that he wouldn't be diligently watched over. When we arrived we were greeted by one of the care takers who was easily one of the sweetest people I've met. She immediately introduced Pierre to a puppy friend. When we returned several hours later we were delighted to see Pierre romping in the grass with the care takers. We were told that his puppy friend was a little rough so he was brought out to the yard and given special attention. We were able to explore glacier with peace of mind while Pierre ran his little puppy heart out. I definitely recommend Columbia Falls Kennels. read more

Feeling so fortunate to have found CMK! A friend recommended them & we were lucky enough to get a spot for our golden here while we went to Canada for the week. It always seems like a gamble when we have to find a new kennel/ day camp for our dog. This time it paid off! The facility is very clean, no bad smells, organized. If you care about your pets well being, DO NOT leave them at Columbia Mountain Kennels. I left my 3 year old black lab there for three nights over a long week end. The rate of $20/night seemed a little steep but I figured my dog was worth it. On Sunday afternoon, I received a phone call that my dog "was with another dog, caught a tooth, and was going to need stitches." After she had been taken to the vet, I inquired about what had gone on. Apparently, my dog was left unsupervised with another dog who attacked her. When it was all said and done, I ended up with a $350 vet bill and a dog with a psychological wound for life. If you are looking to kennel your dog or anyone you know is looking to kennel their dog, make sure you/they don't leave their loved one with Columbia Mountain Kennels. read more

I made arrangements for our small 2-year-old mutt, Hamley, to board here for three days while we camped and hiked in Glacier National Park this July, and choosing Columbia Mountain Kennels was a fantastic decision. The location is great if you're staying anywhere on the west side of the park. They include daytime play with their boarding, so Hamley got TONS of social time and exercise with other dogs, and came back to us wiped out. (And we all know a tired dog is a very, very good dog.) Will and Andrea were super accommodating, making pick-up and drop-off very convenient, and they shared some insiders' tips for enjoying the park and the surrounding area. They run a beautiful facility with many local doggie daycare clients, and it's very apparent they're in this for the love of our critters. The pricing is a bargain; we typically pay more like $35 a day for boarding and exercise here in Oregon and would happily pay that or more for such top-quality care away from home. read more
