When I thought all hope was lost I found JPK9 Montana. No other dog trainers would take My Icka…read morebecause he was reactive. He had been attacked by a few dogs and having him around other dogs was almost impossible. He was scared of other dogs and people and was labeled and an aggressive dog. I messaged JPK9 thinking I would be turned away. Within minutes I had a reply of Yes, we work with dogs like him, no problem at all. I signed Icka up for the two week boarding training. Drop off was smooth. There was detailed communication on what was needed supply wise as well as what I needed to work on to prepare myself and Icka for a smooth transition. Every day there were videos posted so I could watch his progress, and progress there was. He was heeling, sitting, laying down and staying. HE WAS WALKING WITH OTHER DOGS CALMLY WITH HIS TAIL HELD HIGH. Daily walkes and so much time put into him. He went into stores and was asked around other people and dogs. When it was time for me to pick him up from training I got a class myself on what to to and how to continue his progress, how to work as a team and be the dog handler he needed me to be. Right after pick up we jumped into a group class and practiced everything we have learned. They saved Icka from living his life locked away from everything. They gave him his confidence back and showed me how to continue his growth as a secure dog. I would 100% recommend JPK9 Montana for anyone's dog. They truly care and dedicated their time and knowledge into the training. We look forward to attending life time classes with the help and support from this amazing group of people. I can't thank them enough!

We had never boarded our dogs before, so I was very apprehensive, but after reading several positive reviews, decided to make a reservation with Three Dog Ranch. We have two large great Pyrenees mixes so I requested that they be boarded in their own double bunkhouse. The staff were very kind and attentive and took the time to get to know our dogs and their unique personalities. I was able to enjoy the concert with my husband and when we picked our dogs up the following morning, they seemed happy and healthy. They did not appear distressed, and I am assuming they had a wonderful sleepover full of excitement because they slept hard the next day. Thank you Three Dog Ranch for taking such good care of my fur babies and allowing my husband and I to have a good time at the concert.

I do believe their staff work to keep the dogs safe. However, when we picked up our dog, his whole body still smelled strongly of urine, and parts of him were still not dry. I could even see his paw prints in it. We dropped him off clean, so it's concerning to think he might have been sitting in urine during the days of boarding. Another issue was their internal communication. We arranged via email with Steph to drop off medication that needed to be given the morning after our pickup day (my email was titled "Aug. 11 for our dog"). But when we picked him up, a staff member at the Whitefish location said he read "Aug. 14" on the note and didn't administer the medication. They never called or checked with us to clarify. While these may seem like small details, I had higher expectations before choosing this place. I wouldn't say they neglected the dogs, but there are definitely areas--like communication and cleanliness--that could be improved.

If you are looking for someone to *actually* help you get in sync with your dog, STOP SEARCHING!…read moreYou've found the perfect team. Jason and Laura are the trainers behind Tally-Ho and they are LEGIT! We had five weekly visits with Tally-Ho to help us understand our female chihuahua (who is a handful) and we got concrete advice that genuinely improved both her behavior and our ability to communicate with her. Jason has studied extensively and is licensed by one of the top schools in the US for canine obedience training, and it shows. His style is direct and he will tell you exactly what you need to work on and how to maintain your results. Prices are very affordable for what you receive; we were always impressed by how Jason and Laura would take extra time with us if it was needed in order to truly ensure that we understood the lesson. Our little chi girl is much more relaxed now that we are all on the same page and she has the structure and guidance which her breed needs in order to feel secure. We couldn't be more grateful. If you want common sense and evidence based support for you and your dog(s) give Tally-Ho a call and thank me later :)

Mookie joined us 4 1/2 years ago when our grown daughter rescued him from Animal Control and brought him home to me as a surprise. He had been a stray for some time and was in poor physical condition. He was critically emaciated, had an extreme case of mange, and had several serious infections. Mookie and I immediately bonded on his joining the family. We became inseparable, everywhere I went Mookie followed. He even slept snuggled with me and his head on my chest. With his newfound health, Mookie became quite active, wanting to play, go on walks, run in open spaces, and explore the surrounding world. Unfortunately, it was not long before my wife and I could not control him due to his increasing strength and strong independent alpha personality. Additionally, Mookie began jumping up on anyone entering the house. He also began barking unrelentingly and jumping at windows whenever he noticed anyone in our yard. Most concerning, Mookie went from a shy dog who cowered at the sight of other dogs to becoming increasingly aggressive toward other dogs. On a couple of occasions when dogs approached Mookie, he initiated fights. This brought walks and outings to an end. My wife and I became seriously concerned that we might have to give Mookie up or worse if we could not find a means of correcting his growing behavioral problems. The thought of losing Mookie devastated us both, as he was such a loving and affectionate dog who had won our hearts. I brought the situation to our veterinarian's attention asking for advice. He suggested I take Mookie to a trainer and recommended one in our area. I contacted the trainer, and we began our training. Mookie and I went for four months of 2-hour private sessions 3 days a week. While Mookie showed some improvement, he could still be a handful and had made no progress with his dog aggression. Frustrated, I began to search for a new trainer. After an extensive assessment of over 15 dog training services in Harris and Montgomery counties, we found Jason and Laura and knew immediately our search was over. Jason clearly stood above all other trainers we had spoken with. After Jason's meeting and assessment of Mookie, he agreed to place him in his three-week intensive board and train program. On Mookie's return, my wife and I were both speechless. We couldn't believe this was the same dog. Mookie sat, laid down, and "Parked-It" on his raised bed repeatedly. More impressive, he remained in the commanded position and location until he was "Freed" regardless of duration. Further astonishment came when Laura rang the front doorbell. Mookie remained quiet and at my side in our living room. The same held true when Laura knocked on the door. Following this, Jason pointed out how Mookie no longer jumped on anyone entering the home. He now sat patiently, waiting to be approached and acknowledged. Next, Jason took us all for a walk. Again, Mookie was a completely different dog. He no longer pulled or even led the walk. He remained immediately at Jason's side regardless of any change Jason made in speed or direction. On Jason handing me the reins, Mookie did just the same for me. Most impressive was when we encountered a dog. Mookie remained calm, not bark or even a growl, he just kept on walking at my side. We observed several additional behavioral rectifications and obedience compliances, all of which were just as impressive as those mentioned above. One year has passed since Mookie returned home from his three-week training camp and I am in awe of Jason's achievements. He truly transformed our dog. Mookie remains a wonderful, well-behaved, and obedient dog. Mookie's metamorphosis is remarkable. It is allowing us to spend considerably more time together. We are now able to explore and share new experiences together, which is bringing us ever closer and enriching each of our lives. I cannot thank Jason and Laura enough! Ken & Julie Goodhue
