Basic shoe-sales 101: someone should probably check that two shoes made it into the box and not leave one on display. To their credit, once we let them know, customer service fixed it right away. They shipped a full replacement pair immediately and simply asked us to drop the solo skate back in the mail. A funny mishap, but they handled it quickly and professionally. 4 stars.

Now I would guess most of their business is in upscale casual and outdoor clothing for men and women. Orvis still makes very nice fly fishing equipment - my first really nice fly rod was made by Orvis. This particular store has a convenient location with lots of parking. They have never been particularly busy when I have been in and the staff has always been friendly. Their products are high quality - no fast fashion cheaply made goods here. Orvis has a nice online catalogue so you can get an idea of what is available and they can order it if it is not in stock. I have a soft spot in my heart for Orvis and wish them well.

I normally wear a large and I fit into a medium sweater and extra small shirt. Another inconvenience for staff is to reopen locked fitting rooms constantly. Sorry it had to happen 3 times. Many hours of searching narrowed it down to an Eileen Fisher coat that had a nice slim line. It was on sale...and not available online or at any stores West of the Mississippi in my size. Customer Service put me in touch with this location. Beata could not have been more helpful when I called. She took the time to make sure I was getting exactly what I wanted, and would ship it the next day. Despite a huge snow storm in the Midwest, it arrived on the day she had arranged. It fit perfectly, and did not make this buxom blonde look like a stuffed animal. LOVE!
