It's run by a sweet older gentleman and features many varieties of fruit, veggies, and a limited selection of groceries. Many of his items seem to be "seconds" (perhaps bruised fruit, or a veggie a little past its prime) but the prices make a stop here worth it if you're willing to dig around for the good stuff (or just cut off the "bad" parts when you get home). I bought a HEAP of fruit and veggies here and only spent $15. Wheeler's is cash only, so keep that in mind if you stop. And be sure to ask him about the cool antique phone on the counter - it still works!

Went to explore the Berry & Nut Farm off Boekel Road and saw this farm on the adjourning property…read more One of the gals working at the B&N Farm said strawberries were still on and we were shocked since it was the 2nd week of October! But the picking was still very good and the fragrance and taste can't be beat! We wrote down how much we picked in their log book and paid by honor system. It was such a lovely, small town, family-ran farm and much more pleasant than the commercialism that has taken over Greenbluff in the past decade or two. I am so happy to have found (technically 2) local farms close by and I don't have to drive over state borders

We grow a wide variety of top quality vegetables and strawberries and have a weekly CSA in season. Our certified organic market garden is a part of an intentional community which was begun in 1963. Our community has survived as the longest running secular intentional community in the United States. As pioneers in the organic farming movement, we have never had synthetic chemicals applied to our soils. We have been selling our produce to the Spokane public for over three decades. We also were founding members of and integral to the creation and operation of the Spokane Farmers' Market. Through this, we have helped many other farms and businesses establish themselves in the region. We helped bring the WIC and Senior farmers market programs to Spokane, and have donated an enormous amount of produce to local food banks. We care deeply about the health of the land and the environment, and all people having access to healthy food. Our farm is a participatory, egalitarian workplace where every hour worked carries the same value.
