Flying into and out of Indianapolis International Airport (IND) for the first time and it was easy…read moreto get around. There are two (2) concourses: A and B. The rental car pickup and drop-off is just outside of the airport building - no shuttle bus needed... just walk towards the rental car area. TSA was easy to get through. I have TSA Pre-Check with Touchless ID. It was nice to have the separate line for Touchless ID but there was only 1 TSA agent working the Pre-Check and Pre-Check with Touchless ID so it really didn't matter that I had that option. I really liked how their TSA bins had a machine to sort and organize them - very "high tech" as other airports don't have that feature. They have some typical food options you'd find at other airports here, such as Starbucks, McDonald's, Chick Fil-A, etc. The United Airline counter agents were friendly folks. I had no issues here. There are SmarteCarte available for $6.00 if you need it. Picking up checked baggage from Baggage Claim was a breeze. Overall, I was really happy with this airport. It wasn't too crowded and they had decent seats options in the main area between concourse A and B. I especially liked the open air feel with the natural lighting. It just made the space more airy and open.

Easy airport to navigate. Straightforward gates and TSA security checkpoint. Good food court before…read moresecurity, but limited dining options past security. Getting an uber was fast, but the pickup situation is not well organized. There is a long line and one lane for uber drivers to park along with the tiniest sidewalk for riders to walk on to get to their uber parked somewhere on that long line of cars with luggage and all.

Today is the day I realize that Southwest is no longer customer friendly and is just business. I…read moreput up with delays, many out of their control, but when I book at a specific fare for a specific itenerary and don't receive that service. There is never an accomodation made to raise the level of experience past that. BASIC FARE customers BEWARE! I booked a roundtrip for my mother, which we had to modify just the front leg of the trip. Southwest cannot accomodate that and requires cancellation of the entire round trip. If I had book two individual one-ways, not problem. This is nuanced games and legalize to make a buck. I really hope to see 1) Department of Transportation evaluate this going forward, 2)Hope some law firm would lead a class action regarding this type of practice and 3) Customers rise up and make sure that you shop for a new airline. I suspect it is the same at many. Southwest USE TO have a friendly customer facing, how can we SERVE business model. No longer! Sad to see this model of business innovation change from "We are not like most people" to "We are just like everyone else." Dont be fooled by your status they hand out, the extra leg room, and the wonderful pistachio gimmicks. I have flown for many years with SW and had become loyal. But, now I will be much more discerning about which flight and airline we will be flying with. To Southwest, Loyalty is only a catch phrase and one way street, it seems. It will take a long time for you to win back your advocates after you alienate them. And, many other customers will now here about the recent times of less than service vs the years of service that exceeded. As Gas Prices Soar due to global conflict, Southwest has a chance to stand out versus be like everyone else. Copy and pasting this to my best 100 friends. Ripples of opportunity to have Southwest make an impact or prove who they are. I am expecting more Corporate Greed. Sad to say that I used to be a great advocate of this company, but today I can no longer advocate for Southwest. Today, they are in my mind... the LEAST Customer Friendly Airline. Business is about creating service that people want, not need. We can do better!!!
