He received no oxygen, IV antibiotics nor was his room heated. The clerk stated she was not qualified to provide any medical treatment as the ambulance drivers tried to relay medical orders. We had to go to St David's to receive real medical care. Dr Jokic failed to even enter his room until after 10am and denied he had pneumonia. Scary that this facility is allowed to operate under these conditions. My husband was never assigned a nurse or doctor since none were present. The administrator, Jace, called and demanded to know the name of my husband's nurse. Evidently no doctor or nurse were assigned to my husband, even though there were only two other patients in the hospital. What a disaster!

I took my mother there…read morewho was so ill she couldn't move without getting sick, was extremely weak and could not move on her own. She kept saying she felt like she was having a heart attack. I went inside to ask for help, they gave me a wheel chair and took several minutes for anyone to come help me because I couldn't lift her alone. She proceeded to loudly tell my mom to get in the chair and said, "well I can't lift you." I finally had to half push her out of the way and do it myself. You'd think the words heart attack would at least trigger some kind of semi urgent response but not here. We get inside and were told "well we don't have any open rooms". A good 5 or more minutes goes on, with me reiterating several times about her feeling worse and worse and the thought of a heart attack. When they finally take her the nurse did nothing to help her sit up for accurate vitals. When her BP came back high she told me "well her arm is bent so it's not accurate anyway". There was zero urgency. We were left in a room for a good 15 minutes without anyone coming in. I flagged down a nurse who got very short with me when I told her they would have to move her from the chair to the bed. Then left for another 20 minutes. From the time we arrived to the time an IV or Dr came in was about an hour. If she'd been having a severe heart attack it would have been too late. The Dr had extremely poor bedside manner, excessively loud, and giving little to no actual medical suggestions or advice. "Could be a heart attack we'll do a scan" that came back ok so he said "could be a stroke, but we don't have an MRI machine to check." This was now well past 2 hours. They sure as heck had someone come in to tell me the $3k+ cost estimate though once she was taken back for a CT. The dr said she could be given a medicine for stroke with a 25% death rate (exactly what you want to hear when he's given no other info) or transfer to a hospital with an MRI. He made sure to highlight that we were beyond the golden hour. Yeah because it took a full hour for you to even come in the room!! Ultimately transferred just to get away from the horrible place. The difference once at the new hospital was night and day and their staff was horrified by the treatment when I told them. I'll never go back to this ER.

So while I was in the office I got BCBSTX on the phone and explained the situation. And yes they confirmed that we should not owe a copay. BCBSTX spoke to receptionist and told her we did not owe a copay. The receptionist said she still had to collect the copay. I never received a refund for over payment. There is something very deceptive about this. I will never go back to this place. Its NOT clean and receptionist was very rude. Its worth the drive to go elsewhere.

So I cut my foot seriously on a lawn mower pulley, about 6" long and real deep. Lots of blood. My…read morewife drove me there and they came out and got me in a wheel chair. When they saw the blood loss and size of the laceration they jumped into action. I had a wonderful nurse, I wish I knew her name. Young, dark hair and some classy tattoos. If that helps!! She explained everything they were going to do from an xray to cleaning and eventually suturing the wound. A very nice Dr. named Michael came in after x rays showed no ligaments or tendons torn and cleaned me up real good and put 18 sutures on the wound and took an hour and a half of careful handling. The young lady nurse then explained everything I need to do for the next 2 weeks to insure a good healing. She was super at communicating and honestly cared. I give the emergency staff a 6 star review they were that thoughtful. This was on April 4th at about 6 pm. Thank you all so much.

After visiting the Bellville ER…read morethe day before, my daughter was finally given a chest xray in Sealy, which showed Covid pneumonia. She was given two injections and sample Inhaler. By morning she was keeping O2 sats above 90%. Sealy Urgent Care kept her out of the Hospital. Office visit, CXR and medication cost was reasonable. I'm sure the ER visit in Bellville is going to be thousands of dollars and they did nothing. I would refer anyone to this urgent care .

My sister is currently in the Emergency Department on a bed in the hallway. She has been there…read moresince 11pm last night. She is very sick with colitis and a colon infection and passing blood. They have her on antibiotics and fluids but is not hooked up to any monitors for pulse ox or BP. They say they do not have any beds in the ED nor upstairs. The ED doctor has said she is to be admitted but will have to stay in the hallway and they do not have an eta on a room. They are still currently accepting patients at the ED and she said they have multiple patients in the hallways lined up like she is. I do not live in Texas or I would be with her and would have already driven her to another hospital. Its is beyond me as to why they are still accepting new patients when they have no room for the patients at present. They just gave her a colonoscopy prep and told her to use the public bathroom across the hall. She refused saying I cant not start the prep until you place me in a room. Completely unacceptable. It's all about the money! So sad.
