I also don't feel like they listen well to my concerns, and have repeated labs that incurred additional charges, and given prescriptions for meds (ear cleaner) that they know I can't get into one dog's ears. I long considered getting a second opinion on my oldest dog who is 17 but has been very happy and healthy until this last year. I'd planned to transfer to another clinic that is easier to get in touch with, and requested copies of my pets' records over 2 months ago. At that time, I was told by the receptionist (Dr. Terry's wife, who is a wholly unpleasant person to deal with) that copies of charts cost $20 each, unless we have them sent directly to another clinic. I requested the records be sent over to my other clinic of choice at that time, and it was not done. Since then, the other clinic has requested my records multiple times on my behalf, to no avail. I finally have run out of patience, as my oldest dog now has an appointment at this other clinic tomorrow, and I was told (after 2 phone calls and an email) that I had to pay $20 and wait 7 to 10 days for his records to be sent. Additionally, I was told that I misunderstood the vet's wife 2 months ago, and that charts cost $20 regardless (I didn't, and my partner was given the same information at that time from the same person, independently of myself). I paid them their $20 so my new vet can compare labs on my old boy, and help make him more comfortable in what is likely to be the last few months of his life. Dr. Terry is a gentle and kind vet, but his wife should not be involved in the business at all, and I question their unsavory business practices. If you care about your pets, don't bring them here. All they seem to be after is money. They just got the last $20 I'll ever give them.

Side note- while I was waiting a man brought a dog in that was hit by a car,it was bloody and looked like it was in bad shape, I was extremely impressed how quickly they went to action and stabilized the dog. The woman who runs this shop was super great to us. It took a bit longer than she estimated but mostly because they were in worse shape than I let on. The groomer was very hipster, reasonably priced, very patient and gentle with two dogs that sometimes can get a little frustrating. I would go back in a heartbeat. She did a bang-up job on the two dogs, was very patient with all three of us, and is a cool little inde-local business owner that I'd happily support as long as these dogs are with me.

She even called me a week after our initial phone conversation to see how I was doing. (After meeting with our primary vet, I had decided they were doing well enough to postpone the decision for a while. Dr. Kristi was very happy for me, and completely supportive.) A year later, my dogs were really struggling, so I called Dr. Kristi again. She remembered talking with me, and was terrific. In the end, Dr. Kristi was out of town volunteering when the time came to finally put them to sleep. However, she put me in touch with Dr. Katie Hilst and Dr. Catie Hawkins of Journeys Home, who were wonderful too. (Dr. Catie came to our house, and did such a nice job.) Dr. Kristie cared and took the time to make sure my dogs and I were taken care of, even if she wasn't being compensated. Her sensitivity, generosity, and kind heart are remarkable. I would absolutely recommend her if you are struggling like I was. Dr. Kristi is an angel.

Dr. Kristi was so sweet and comforting. She was able to understand what we needed when I was so overwhelmed with grief that I could barely talk. Not to mention that she was able to come to our house on a Sunday evening when most other Vets would not be available. Being at home put us and Gus at ease. I'm not sure I could have handled the drive to and from a Vet's office. She checked in day after to see how the family was doing, knowing that we had taken the loss so hard. She really is such a sweet lady, which is exactly what we needed given the circumstances. She also makes sure that you know exactly what is going on at all times. Honestly, you'd be hard pressed to work find a reason to give Dr.. Kristi anything but 5 stars.
