It began at noon and we arrived about 25 minutes in. It was EXTREMELY busy. We looked around and about 20 minutes later we went to check out. My friend was going to lend me the cash for my purchase and our total was $36. It took the cashier a while to determine that the four items totaled $36. He was sniffling a lot so he may have had a cold. My friend took out her $100 bill and handed it to the gentleman he gave her change back for a $50. My friend had shown me that very same bill when I asked if she had cash because I'd forgotten to get some on the way there. Nevertheless, he insisted that she was mistaken. The other person that was at the table next to the gentleman looked in what I can assume was a cash box under the table I cannot be sure but she said well what's this. The gentlemen again insisted that he placed the bill that he'd been given right on top. And my friend again said she gave him a hundred dollar bill. This went on and the other person at the table had by now gotten up and started calling the person in charge. She must've seen him coming back because she came back to the table and once again looked in the cash drawer and asked, 'What's this here?' The gentlemen asked 'what' and she said 'this on the side here.' According to her it was a hundred dollar bill at the bottom of the pile and another hundred on the side. When the person in charge came up he went straight to the gentlemen bypassing me, my friend and the woman on the other side of the table and asked what was goin on. Now the gentlemen started saying they're accusing us of taking money from them to which the person in charge replied well we aren't gonna steal from anybody. Then my friend stated that she knows she gave him a hundred. He then stated we wouldn't even take a $100 bill. As I stated earlier we'd been going to these sales for a few years, and they ALWAYS took the hundred. When she asked if they would count up the till at the end of the day and found it to be over would they give her a call and give her the missing $50. The response was, 'you know you're not satisfied with us then we're not satisfied with you!' We felt bullied and intimidated and the person in charge told the gentleman to give her her money back, (ONLY $50 was returned) He continued, 'You can leave and don't ever come back!' Never thought I'd be traumatized at an estate sale but this left me with some trauma for sure.

I would not recommend this business based on my experience. We originally got my engagement ring…read morehere and had no issues. However, when it came time to purchase my wedding band the experience became one of the most unprofessional customer service experiences I've ever had. After having issues with my wedding band multiple times, I was texting with the owner about fixing my third band. His response was, "What was discussed?" which felt extremely dismissive and frustrating, especially because I had just been in the shop explaining directly to him how unhappy I was with the ring. Unfortunately, due to the timeline and the fact that the third wedding band was still not correct, I had to get married wearing a ring that I did not love. When I picked up the second band, we discovered together that it was still not what I had requested. Finding out in the moment that the second band had been made incorrectly was both disappointing and avoidable. This should have been identified before I arrived to pick it up. I had to repeatedly advocate for myself to receive a product that matched what was originally discussed and expected. Unfortunately, that was never delivered, and I am now having my band corrected by another jeweler. The lack of accountability, and customer care is the reason I am leaving this review. Had there been any apology or genuine care towards getting my band correct, I would have continued working with the owner despite the issues. The most disappointing part was feeling like my concerns and previous conversations were repeatedly forgotten, leaving me to explain the situation and my frustrations again each time. Even after texting him explaining my frustration, he did not respond, and still I was left with no acknowledgement or apology. I then go in for a final time to drop off the second band, tell him that his lack of care and apology throughout this entire process had been extremely unprofessional. Even then, he said nothing.

The things they sell are helpful to more than professional jewelers. My father, for example, is a botanist who studies mosses. He buys all of his hand lenses here (and then proceeds to wear them around his neck and continually get asked why he's wearing a whistle.) I like them for their beading cord and tool quality. This is the kind of place that is trying to keep itself a secret. THERE IS NO SIGN. Let me repeat that. THIS STORE DOES NOT HAVE A SIGN. They also keep their door locked a lot of the time, so you knock and look somewhat respectable and they let you in. (The store is located right next to the plasma donation place, and they apparently get some interesting characters in.) If you're an artist or a beader or a botanist/entomologist/etc. I highly suggest dropping in sometime. It will be worth your while.

I called them because it said here in a previous review that they do watch repair. It turns out they don't actually do watch repair, they only sell the parts. When I asked if they could recommend a repair person she asked who I was. When I told her my name she told me to just go to my local jeweler...which I'm pretty sure I could have figured out on my own, except I didn't want to do that. Well she refused to tell me of any local shops that work on watches. This must be the only business in Columbus that has more business than they know what to do with--as they sure don't seem very welcoming to new potential business.
