I tried the falafel sandwich from Btown Gyros. It wasn't BAD but I thought it was pretty meh. The falafels were okay but the tzatziki and hummus were bland. I added some Dat's hot sauce from the condiment table about halfway through the sandwich but even that somehow did very little. I think I'll give them another try and get something else to see if I like one of the platters more. They actually have a pretty nice eating area inside and on the patio. I feel like if they put some music on and invested more in the presentation, it could be a nice place to go and eat. The guy taking orders had two airpods in, which seems a little rude to me. I am sympathetic that this is probably not very stimulating work, but I don't like having to speak over whatever they're listening to. Wouldn't hurt to leave one ear open at least.

The gyros were hot and the meat was cooked excellently. However, the sauce could have used more flavor. It was less tzatziki sauce and definitely more cucumber slaw. So, overall not impressed with the quality of gyro for the price. The fries were out of this world amazing, though ! I could have had another serving of them for sure.

Located in a cute blue house, this is conveniently located near Lucas Oil Stadium and there was a huge concert going on the night we were there, but we were still allowed to park in their parking area. Inside has nice lighting and is pretty plain but has a homey feel. The menu contains many items we're familiar with having visited Greece twice. So I'm going to be a little critical here with my review of the food. I ordered the Greek Spaghetti, which I have had in Greece. Unfortunately this was not at all what I was expecting or anything like Greek spaghetti. What I was served was basically Prego spaghetti sauce with pieces of gyro in it. Traditional Greek spaghetti (or Makaronia me Kima) is a wonderful sauce that's seasoned with all kinds of memorable spices. It's definitely not pieces of gyro meat thrown in a sauce. So while this was fine, it was not what I truly wanted or thought I was getting so I was pretty disappointed. My husband got the chicken souvlaki and that was better but still not quite like what I remember. The meat was almost smoked and lacked some of the Greek spices that gives it a distinct taste. And the tzatziki...well, let's just say it tastes like whipped feta and was lacking in flavor too. I did enjoy the pita bread. Our service was underwhelming as well. It took a while for anyone to notice we were there and needed to be seated and the server basically did the bare minimum, never even asking if we wanted our water refilled. Overall, it was fine. If I had never been to Greece, I may have a different opinion but this isn't someplace I really want to go back to.

The guy working was very helpful and took the time to explain the dishes to us in the Buffett. We opted for the Buffett today (only runs fri-sun) and while I would love to tell you everything we had, I'd be lying if I said I remembered all the names of the dishes. But trust me when I say the food was fresh, hot and lots of variety. Started off with some hummus, salad, pasta salad, and some other cold sides that I forget the name. The pasta salad was fine, but def okay to skip and stick to the other sides to which you won't be disappointed! The pita was also fresh and so good! Some of the stand outs for the main dishes I LOVED the mushroom beef dish and the chicken I got was so tender it was FALL OFF THE BONE! Also their spaghetti (reminded me more of a Mac and cheese) was so creamy and packed with flavor along with corn and mushrooms. Sounds wild, but trust me - so good! It was overwhelming trying to decide what to get next and making sure I didn't over do it too much so I could try everything! Again I know this isn't the best since I don't know all the names and I have no pictures (I ate too quickly and then realized after the fact and didn't think empty/dirty dishes would be appealing). Just trust me when I say the buffet is worth it. I then had the baklava for dessert and that was also good! We can't wait to come back and order from the menu. Looking to try gyro for sure next time! Also the grocery side is great and has a lot of items and candies to choose from. Definitely a place you'll visit and not leave empty handed or hungry!

I don't come to fishers often but this is definitely somewhere I wanna visit wherever I'm in the area. When I went there was no buffet (I need to try that next time) so we ordered hummus to share and I ordered a chicken souvlaki wrap and fries from the menu. The food took about ten minutes only. Hummus was a bug portion served with 6 pieces of pita bread. It was so good. Smooth and flavorful. My wrap was great as well, it had not only chicken but also something like tabouli. They had all kinds of soda drinks in the fridge. I had never seen any of them before and it was quite exciting. Although this is a sit down restaurant when I paid with my card, I was told their card machine doesn't give any tipping option, to my surprise. I recommend brining some cash. The grocery store had fresh veggies, meat and bread.

The store, while small, feels spacious and uncrowded, easy to navigate, and sensible in layout. The staff are all friendly and helpful. The meats are all sustainable. Most products are organic. Many products are locally-sourced. All products are priced reasonably and affordable. THE PRODUCE SECTION IS EPIC. I gave up shopping at Kroger because they had poor quality and limited selection, and it always looked picked over. Root veggies were rotten in the middle, withered, old. Fresh Thyme has many hard to find things: Lacinato kale. Dandelion greens. Chayote squash. Hen-of-the-woods mushrooms. Multiple varieties of peppers. I cook with a lot of varied vegetables; dishes from around the world. Fresh Thyme makes that easy. The app is... meh. But Fresh Thyme will deliver groceries shopped for online. As long as I live in Indy, Fresh Thyme has my loyalty.

On this visit, I was searching for a specific flavor of pretzels that Kiara told me about (the ones she gets on the plane), which are supposedly only sold at Total Wine. I saw other flavors in the store, but not the one I was looking for. The brand of the pretzels is Stellar and I was searching for the Maui Monk flavor. The website indicated that they had it in stock, so I asked a worker for help. Unfortunately, he was unhelpful and made me feel like I was bothering him, so I continued searching on my own. After some time looking on my own, I asked another employee, who was much more helpful. He took the time to check and explained that they were likely out of stock and that the online inventory isn't always accurate. He also mentioned how popular the pretzels are and that they sell out quickly--even he buys several when they come in. My husband was also looking for a small bottle of Cointreau, but they were out of that as well. I decided to try another flavor of the pretzels - Sweet and Sparky. These were good, had a spice to them with the buffalo flavoring. These bags are priced at $6.49. I'd like to eventually try the other flavors, including the one I was looking for. This visit was hit-or-miss in terms of customer service and item availability.

While I can't say I frequent The Fresh Market, I have come here somewhat regularly enough that I'm…read moresurprised I've never reviewed this SoBro grocery staple that feels perfectly located. The basics: The Fresh Market is a chain started in 1982 by Ray and Beverly Berry in Greensboro, North Carolina. It is still North Carolina-based and remains a somewhat modestly sized chain at 161 stores nationwide. It was very much modeled after European markets and shopping here is, quite simply, a warm and immersive experience. It's luxurious, however, it's actually a very simple market and I'd honestly never be able to shop here and get everything that I needed. I live a simple life. Not that simple. In 2022, Cencosud, a Chilean retail company, acquired a 67% stake in the company. From 2021-2023, the chain was named the best grocery store in America by USA Today. Now then, back to the local scene. The Fresh Market is unique in that it has an attached garage along with its street-level parking. There are accessible spots along the front and an automatic door. The floor plan seems to be wheelchair friendly and I was pleasantly surprised by employees actually being available and enthusiastic. Cash registers were actually nicely arranged. While there are end caps here (those enticing areas next to a cash register designed to get you to buy one last thing), they aren't cluttered and are surprisingly pleasant. I had the chance to stop in before an event at Jazz Kitchen across the street. The Fresh Market is best described as a specialty grocery store rather than a more full-service one. They offer easy meals, fresh foods, restaurant-quality meet/seafood, premium produce, baked goods, deli platters, and more. They also carry flowers. While I didn't really find what I was looking for, everything I found made me smile. It made me realize how much I wanted to return when I had more time to really explore it fully. Everything I saw really seemed to emphasize quality. This location is one of four in Indiana with the others being in Fort Wayne, Evansville, and Carmel. Since I wasn't able to find what I was looking for, I have a hard time going with the full-on five-star review. However, I'll add the disclaimer that I was rushing due to time constraints and very much look forward to returning at a time that allows me to really explore shopping here as it's close to my home and so incredibly pleasant. Grocery shopping usually stresses me out. Here? It actually relaxed me. Four stars for now. I'm sure I'll be forking over that fifth star in the future.
