Our 12-year-old Powell HVAC system was inspected on 7/3/26 under CWA's paid maintenance plan, with the result being that probably $10k with of repairs were needed. We had to consider a new system because of the system's age and the high maintenance estimate. The sales person came out on 7/4/26 with a new install price not much higher than the maintenance estimate. Three guys were here on 7/5/26 and installed the new system 7 hours. All the CWA personnel were very good, efficient, and very easy to deal with. We are very happy with the better-quality HVAC system they installed. We have a 10-year parts and labor warranty. CWA has done previous work for us and for our daughter in Upper Arlington. read more

I recently went through the home‑buying process, and during the inspection the home inspector noted that the outdoor AC unit wasn't level. Columbus Worthington Air was sent out to address the issue. The technician confirmed the unit was uneven, but instead of properly leveling the entire base, he stacked two rocks under the front of the unit. Now the whole system rocks back and forth. This was incredibly disappointing workmanship and feels like a clear corner‑cutting job just to get paid quickly. Based on my experience, I do not recommend this company. The Rheem system they sold us has had one leak after another! We have 40% to 50% humidity with our air on. It's leaked so many times we are going to ask them to put in a different brand. We don't trust this one anymore. We've only had it since the end of March 2025 and they have been out 6 times since March to repair it and it is only July. Why still leaking? Extremely humid a/c isn't removing much moisture. It's not that they haven't been out to repair these things. The issues just continue to exist and its brand new. read more

would like this message directed to the individual who was at the Wendy's located at Glick Rd and Dublin Rd on Friday morning. I have to say that I was extremely disappointed by the behavior I witnessed. I have rarely seen someone treat another person so disrespectfully in public. The individual placed an order and did not request a receipt. After leaving briefly to use the restroom, he returned and began raising his voice at the elderly woman working at the register, demanding to know where his receipt was. She appeared confused and clearly uncomfortable, as it did not seem that a receipt had been requested initially. Shortly after, when his order was ready, he opened his burger directly in front of her and again began loudly complaining that it only had two pieces of bacon. He continued directing his frustration toward the cashier, even though she was not the one preparing the food. The employee handled the situation calmly and professionally, but it was very upsetting to watch someone speak to her in such a manner. She was visibly shaken after the interaction. What made the situation even more concerning was that the individual appeared to be driving a company vehicle, which reflects directly on your organization. Behavior like this in public does not represent a company well and gives the impression that employees are not being held to a standard of professionalism and respect. Unprofessional, Outrageous Quotes & Rude Behavior I strongly caution others before working with Columbus Worthington Air. I was initially looking to install a mini split system for two rooms on my second floor due to insufficient ductwork airflow. My central HVAC system is well-maintained and works perfectly for the first floor and basement. I submitted a request through the Home Depot website for a mini split quote, and Columbus Worthington Air was the company that followed up. Based on their 4.8-star Google rating, I agreed to the consultation--but I wish I had checked Yelp first, where they have a 2.5-star rating that reflects my experience much more accurately. The technician, Delonte, spent less than five minutes at my home. Just as other Yelp reviews warned, he immediately tried to upsell me on a completely unnecessary full HVAC system replacement. When I made it clear I wasn't interested in replacing a system that already works well, his tone shifted--he became rude and short with me. He quoted $8,000 for a single-room mini split--meaning $16,000 for two rooms, and even noted that this was just the starting price. For a second-floor-only HVAC installation, the estimate was at least $22,000, which is far beyond reasonable. He even tried to compare their pricing and service quality to a Mercedes-Benz, which felt laughable considering this is a small local company and the interaction was anything but premium. CWA recently performed an annual "tune up" of our AC and furnace.. We were shocked at all of the problems that the technician found despite the fact that no issues were identified 1 year ago and our systems had been working well. He almost immediately suggested that we replace both and offered to have a salesman come to our home. If you think they have fast service see what happens when they want to sell you something. The salesman was at our home within a couple of hours and had offered to come even sooner. The salesman was very personable and friendly. We discussed options. The prices were out of this world! I looked up the exact furnace that he quoted for $12,000.00 and found it on-line for $3,700.00. Does it cost $8,300.00 to install the unit? The AC unit was equally expensive. Needless to say, we got another opinion. We were told by the second company that there was only a minor problem with the AC unit which was corrected for under $200.00. In addition, the gentleman from the second company asked when the furnace was last cleaned. I thought that had been done by CWA. Apparently not, even though they performed their service 1 month previously. In my opinion, CWA is out to sell expensive and over-priced units whether your units need to be replaced or not. I've set my new thermostat down to 69 degrees and it has yet to get that cool in five days. They have given me the runaround for days. I've had two guys from the company come out and the best they have to say is that it's too humid in my basemen. I have a new dehumidifier that says it's only 45%. BEWARE: DON'T USE THIS COMPANY!!! I had a coupon for $49 tuneup inspection. They came and looked at my furnace because it had been making a little bit of a noise and I want to have them inspect it for me, they gave me a whole list of things that was wrong, including the blower sensor , a coil, and a couple other things, and the unit is original to the house, and the house was built in 97 so it wasn't hard to believe, but I opted to have a second opinion (the parts were gonna be about 2100 and the labor was gonna be about 2400 to fix it which would've been almost $5000 so the inspector told me it's best if I just buy a whole new unit ) and with a second opinion, who was a local family owned local company. He came and inspected it and said the noise was just from a loose bracket which he tightened up with a screwdriver and the furnace was in as quiet as a new one, and he just told me to make sure that I keep my air conditioner. Unit coils cleaned at least once every three months and change my air filter every three months in the furnace and I should be just fine that nothing needed replaced or repaired at this time. He charged me $50 and gave me a card and said if anything further came up to please give him a call and he would be happy to come out and do a deeper dive and inspection, but there were no symptoms or signs of any of the long list of things that Columbus Worthington Air technician said was needed. read more

I did talk to Bobby, he claims they texted us and called. He claims the call "went directly to voicemail" which is not possible since all of our phones are set to ring 5 times and then offer to record a voicemail. All of our phones are also set to record date, time and caller ID of ALL calls, whether we answer or it eventually goes to voicemail. There was no log that anyone called. He claims they texted but used our landline which cannot receive texts. Either way, we got no notification that they weren't going to be here. He claims that "corporate" sends out "robocalls" when there are a lot of appointments that can't be kept. In that case, we would have had a log on our landline that "corporate" called. There was no log entry for "corporate" and no voicemail. Even robocalls get logged, if in fact that is what they used. It is highly doubtful that any attempt was made on their part to notify us. We have had previous communication failures from this company, hence we have dropped them and posted negative reviews. We don't need this kind of aggravation and outright lies. I've worked with CWA at 3 residences and had 2 system replacements. I have found them to provide comparable estimates and they are pretty quick and quite responsive. I'll keep using CWA for my maintenance. They also do a great job explaining system issues/fixes and upgrades - the install team walked me through all points of my system at the time of install with a checklist. Calling in can get a little sticky - I kept missing calls from the service team when I had my most recent issue, and had to call back into the help desk to get another response dispatched. read more

I shit you not, 4 people have shown up from Columbus Worthington Air - I spoke to a call center rep yesterday who said he would put a note in to stop calling and coming to the house after I had 3 voicemails all from different people at different stages of setting up or closing out appointments. November 2023, Columbus Worthington Air came out to replace my thermostat. The old one ran through a "relay box", and the rep was having a hard time figuring it out. He finally got it going. I asked the rep (Kevin) if the A/C was good too. He assured me it was. I should have checked, but I had been without heat for 24 hours and it was 54 degrees in the house. I was more concerned about getting warm. Fast forward to May of this year. I turn the air on, and nothing happens. I call Columbus Worthington Air again. I paid the $99 service fee; they sent Kevin back out. I made the mistake of telling him my husband had coolant added the year before. He told me that the coolant was "so low it can't even register" he said there is a leak, and it would be less expensive to replace it. He told me it would be $500 to "find the leak" he said someone would come out and give me a quote for a new A/C. Mike with Worthington air comes out a couple days later and gives me a quote for a new system. He tried to pressure me into getting it done right away. He'd give me 20% off but it was only good for that Friday. I already knew if I signed up for their yearly checkup plan that I would get 20% off regardless. I called Fire and Ice for a second opinion. It was another $99. That rep changed the capacitor that was rusty and REWIRED ALL THE WIRES FROM THE RELAY BOX! When Kevin with Worthington Air came out in NOVEMBER, he did not wire the A/C to the new thermostat, only the heat. It has been 3 months now and the A/C is running perfectly fine. It DID NOT NEED REPLACED! Worthington Air tried to tell me, the coolant was "so low it couldn't be checked" and wanted to charge me almost $500 to find the nonexistent "leak". I sent Columbus Worthington Air a copy of the invoice from Fire and Ice, requesting a refund on the $99 charge they charged me to lie to me, and the $99 charge I had to pay Fire and Ice to fix what they did not complete way back in November the first time they came out. I told them I would give them a chance to make it right, but they chose not to do so. It's been three months and I've heard nothing back from Columbus Worthington Air. CWA telephoned 4 days before the July scheduled appt to delay another week and to allow a '4-Hour window' for the newly scheduled appt. Ultimately CWA was a no-show for that appt. window a well. Had a technician come out as we needed a new furnace. He went through all the possible options with us and gave me multiple price options. He even answered all of my (probably basic) questions. I told him the placement wasn't urgent and I was trying to time things out to get the best deal. He was very forthcoming about the time of year that happens and said he would keep me posted on any last minute deals they have. I was contacted a couple weeks later and was given a significant discount if I was willing to do install the next day because of a cancellation. The workers came and did a great job of taking out all the old furnace, placing the new one and adjusting things in our furnace room to optimize the air circulation/humidifier conduits. The only meh part of their work is that they did make some pretty deep scratches in the laminate in the basement. We didn't notice it until after everything was wrapped up. There were also a lot of dirty hand prints around the house (they did wear gloves but I don't see the point in wearing them if you're going to be doing thermostats/wall work). Unfortunately the print couldn't be cleaned off and we needed to paint over them. They did try to cleanup after themselves but I don't think they noticed/had the tools to clean up the handprints or fix the scratched flooring. They did match the thermostat to the one we have upstairs so we did not have to get a new app to control it so that was nice. Overall would recommend. Just wish there a bit less "evidence" that they were there. read more

Unreliable and unprofessional. The company has cancelled on me twice - once due to purported illness and just recently due to "too many emergencies." Another time the technician showed up late and then left to assist another employee promising to return. He didn't return for more than two hours (after I called to find out where he was/if he planned on returning). Why do I keep calling them? Because they had installed a new HVAC system in our house (not without issues) so I assumed they would be in the best position to diagnose any future problems. My furnace, installed by Columbus Worthington Air and under warranty, needs a new pressure switch (a part which is covered by the warranty). However, I am left without heat in the middle of winter because CWA cannot get a replacement part in less than 5-6 days. No alternate solution has been proposed, a manager did not investigate an expedited part as promised, and despite multiple calls asking for help or a solution to having no heat, I have literally been LEFT IN THE COLD. This is especially disappointing given CWA initially installed the unit and the part should not have failed. In the meantime, my options are to call another company and pay money that I shouldn't have to, check into a hotel, buy space heaters, and hope that no pipes freeze. If I could have left 0 stars, I would have. I had my regular furnace check up. The tech told me 3 items needed attention....to the tune of nearly $3k in repairs! He showed me pictures, but my "scam radar" was going off. I didn't stay with him as he did the check up so how do I know those photos were of my unit? So I had another company come out to give me a 2nd opinion. The 2nd opinion tech recommended absolutely none of the things the 1st tech told me needed addressed. All was fine. The 2nd tech even found items the 1st tech should have checked but didn't. I'm utterly disgusted with CWA's scare tactics. I had a furnace with a dirty flame sensor. I knew what the problem was but just didn't have time to fix it. Called these guys. Told them the problem. Tech arrived and took 20 minutes to clean the sensor. The charge? $99 to diagnose the problem and $235 for his labor for a total of $334! Outrageous! Online I read the average cost to clean the flame sensor is $75 - $150. I called and their quality control guy waived the $99. That's why I gave them two stars rather than one. My impression is that this company will gouge you for whatever they can. I will never use them again. I'm told Hetter Heating and Cooling is much more reasonable. No one showed up by 730pm and no call so I called them and was told they couldn't make it and rescheduled for Sunday. Then 7pm rolls around on Sunday and no one showed up again I called and was told they don't know what happened I'd be a top priority for Monday someone would absolutely be out. Guess what.....I called at 630pm to see if anyone was gonna come and was told no it would be moved to tomorrow top priority!!
