Seldom does a business consistently provide the same level of service time and again, but my hats off to Verizon for consistently being terrible. The store always has very few staff people. Lines for help are always over an hour. Inventory is never in stock. And talking to a representative always feels like you're interrupting some personal conversation, as the team would rather chat with each other. I literally dread coming here. read more

University Drive, Davie, Florida (954) 540-8728). Upon arriving I was greeted by Gustavo Lopez (the Store Manager), and representative, Josiah G. They were amazing! Extremely patient, knowledgeable, and caring. They made an experience which I have always dreaded because it has always taken me HOURS to accomplish anything with other providers. Unfortunately I witched from metro PCS, these people (sellers) are liars, they promise things and they don't follow up, fees appear that they didn't tell you in advance, they offer free phones but with the contract you'll pay doble the price, in addition their signal is so poor that you have to have the wifi on all the time to have reception, i really won't recommend Verizon to anyone. I would actually write a great review on how I was treated in the store but.. let me tell you my side. First of all Every employee was nice and personable when we walked in. I had my 9mth old with me laughing and smiling the entire time. I was there to add another iPad to the WiFi on our account, and also switch my TMob phone to Verizon for their "$1000 trade I deal any phone". I ended up trading my iPhone 12 with no issue. I was responsible for taxes the Verizon asst said. I ended up paying $235 for just the new phone stuff and a separate paid fee for the iPad. what gets me; is the Verizon rep showed me 5 different phone cover and asked which id like? I told him I didn't need it, I'll order one.. he then said" It's included/free". So I chose a cover. After getting home, I saw I as charged for a $40 new phone speed charger and a $40 phone case (basic). Needless to say, they lied and swindled me because I was friendly. read more

This is a company store. That matters to you because the reps are better trained than those working in franchise stores. And if there are issues, they may have greater leverage with the company. I first went to a store that turned out to be a franchise store. And while the rep was a great guy, he made an administrative mistake that prevented the completion of my sale. I selected a $900 phone with accessories and couldn't walk out with the phone. I asked the store's manager to use his position to try to undo the mistake. He told me the only one who could help me is the Verizon CEO. Wow. Even though he was a manager, he had no leverage. I think it's because he's a hired gun - working in a franchise store where they slapped 'Verizon' on the store sign before unlocking the door. I cancelled that pending order and ran to this store. We met Sebastian and in minutes I knew he had a handle on his business. He ROCKED IT! Sebastian not only unraveled THAT issue, but he also had to unravel a Verizon rebate center issue. (Tom switched networks and was rebate-eligible. The rebate guy tried to convince me Tom would have to sign up with Verizon but keep using the other carrier for 45 days in order to be eligible. I asked why they'd have a promotion that stops people from switching and buying Verizon phones. I asked if he wanted us to go to the store and flirt with the team, teasing them how we'd be back in 6 weeks to actually switch. As I later found out, another carrier's phone wouldn't work in this network so what the rebate guy said couldn't have possibly been right.) Phones are not a luxury - we need dependable phones and service. We got what we needed - in a clean, well-displayed store. Where Sebastian was fast in transferring data onto Tom's phone and then mine. Our rebate is on it's way. We love the Note 8 - it has Edge features (you can pull shortcut icons from the side of the phone) and a stylus that can write on a locked screen. And we love feeling the Verizon love - Sebastian brought Tom into the ranks of Verizon customers, kept my business (we considered checking out the other carrier at one point), successfully sold 2 phones, accessories, mobile hot spot and monthly fee. He performed for Verizon and completely took care of us by focusing on issue resolution and making sure we felt the love. read more

If I could rate this location a zero I would. On October 19,2021 , me and family a total of 7 lines were excited to join Verizon! Josh did everything incorrectly, since we did the promotion of the trade in device to get a new phone we started getting charged for Verizon service that day , even though we didn't actually get the Verizon chips to start the cell service till November 2nd. That is because Josh made it seem that day placing all 7 lines to different phone numbers to prefer the new iPhones, so it can make it look like he made a big sale, when really 5 of us were trading in our phones and needed our phone numbers to be ported over while the other two lines just needed two port there phone numbers. I had to call the customer service line since I was being charged $184 for a phone lines and phone numbers no one was even using the service for. We received the new phones, only 5 of us did the trade in promotion, and came into this store on November 2, of 2021to port our phone numbers to our new phones. I don't remember the name of the employee who helped us this day but he was a Hispanic male with many tattoos. He ported all of our phone numbers to the new phones and this day is when we actually started using Verizon cell phone service. After November 2, I have been calling Verizon every month since now February 14,2022 for problems that became a snowball effect from the problem Josh and the other employee who ported our phone numbers and started. Later in November 2021, we went to the Verizon on Sheridan to discuss the reoccurring billing issues and they told us this location put us on the wrong plans, that was more expensive. He switched us out of the plans there and told us the other problems had to be resolved at this location. That same day we came back to this location and spoke to the manager to resolve the issues since there was 5 extra phone lines I was being billed for since Whatever josh did on October 19,2021 wanted to make it look like he got a sale by giving each phone a new number. Since they put us on the wrong plan to begin with, and then switched us to the correct plan and we lost the promotion code of Apple Music free for 6 months, so every month I have been having to call Verizon's to get credit for each Apple Music charge on my bill. Which now today is being resolved, this is the incident number INC007200932. Another problem, Instead of doing a different ID for the promotion to the correct phone number to the correct amount the trade in amount was for. Some people in my family were paying $20 for there trade in for 3 months of the bill when it should've been only $3, so now I have to go back to all the bills and see who I give money back and who I ask for more money in return. I spoke to the promotion fall out representative today and they stated they couldn't swap out the promotion amount to the correct phone line since it was under one promotion ID. The customer service representation had to calculate for me exactly what amount each phone owed with the correct trade in amount. For example, we traded in a $1,000 iPhone and that phone number monthly should've only been paying $3.33. But since they didn't it incorrectly from the started, the placed a $400 trade in device to the incorrect phone line making it now $23 a month that person was paying. This problem was applied to all 5 lines that did the trade in promotion. Overall the experience with Verizon has been horrendous, customer service has been great but I can't be spending 2 hour phone calls every month trying to resolve issues that shouldn't have been made from a problem that came from the beginning of signing up. The employees at this facility have to be better trained and not take advantage of customers like Josh did. read more

Three employees standing around having a personal conversation when we walked in and they referred us to a number we could call in order to transfer one of our lines ourselves. When we had questions, they were short and rude and basically couldn't be bothered. Seriously Verizon? This is how you train your employees? Disgusting. I thought I was going in for what was mind blowing black Friday deals only to come out with a bill that is more than my cable bill. That sales person was completely doing their job and completely suckered me into pretty much getting everything telling me that there were discounts on all my devices when it turns out there were stipulations to them and he did not tell me what they were and the deals did not match up so now I'm stuck with an outrageous Verizon bill for two years. Verizon is the absolute best service and I refuse to switch carriers because Verizon is the only one where I can get service anywhere and this is honestly the only reason you're going two stars not one because Verizon is the best in show. I brought my 3 week old phone in to the store because of issues with the accessories I bought. The screen protector smears horribly and does not wipe off no matter what you wipe it with. You cant even see your phone to use it be a use it is so smeared. The phone case is already turning yellow and the kid here says there is nothing he can do about it and I have to take it back to the store that I bought it from. 1500 miles away. Switched from T-mobile over to the Verizon 4 line plan, transferring 2 phones, purchasing a new iPhone and trading an old iPhone in for an upgrade. WOW, it was all so quick and simple. Very friendly staff, was in and out in less than 30min with exactly what we wanted. No hidden anything, the rep inquired for information for applicable discounts which applied and we got all our activation fees waived. Left the store with 3 activated phones and 2 new iPhone 7s on their way. Love T-mobile for what they did for the industry but now that all carriers caught up, Verizon's network is clearly the better choice. Never saw 5 bars on my phone until now. Would def recommend Verizon and this location specifically is exceptional. read more

This store needs to get its act together. I rarely post on this site but I left the store pretty peeved today. I asked to trade a device from ATT in and was told I could use it as a down on a new phone with them (note I am already a customer and had a device from my old plan with ATT). I was told that the device was worth around $400. The gentleman who was helping me had to go and some lady who could care less about me as a customer and a manager who honestly did not act like one (clueless) pretty much contradicted what the other guy told me wasting about two hours of my time. I would say check out other locations..... this one is clean(check), organized (check) but got really bad vibes from this place today(could care less about me for most part). I love the verizon service and quality of their network...customer service at this store big turn off for most part. Id recommend to go to the Oakwood Plaza location or somewhere else they actually care about you as a customer. I have had two bad experiences here now. Good luck. read more

Customer service is lost here. Its one thing to greet ppl coming into the store and another to actually HELP customers. Before long there will be robots doing that mindless job. To send a customer across town to another corporate store to return a product that clerk is unaware of... and further more to tell the customer the store they bought it at isn't a corporate store when it is! University Verizon not only is unaware of their surrounding corporate stores but the greeter could have taken 1 more step to be sure that they weren't giving mis information...the 1 steps would have included looking at a receipt along with the box handed to her when she looked at the product. It would have been a vital step to assuring the information and the difference between getting a customer taken care of at that location to ultimately sending on a very unnecessary trip to the other side of town. I like Verizon as a wireless service (though it's considered one of the most expensive) and have had good customer service from corporate over the phone, but I'm not impressed with the staff at this store. Experiences thus far include staffers spouting rigid corporate policies, seemingly nickel & diming with fees, & being kind of robotic, rather than making me feel like they cared about me as a customer. I've been to other Verizon stores to do business, and never felt that way. Given the high price of smart phones & service nowadays, this was quite disappointing. read more
