This review is about Xfinity in general not the Ukiah office. I do not care how fast a internet service is if it doesn't have good customer service. At Xfinity (the main number) No body knows what they are doing there! I just needed to print a label to return an item. I can't print the dang return label. I called the returns department and they tell me to call customer service cause they can send you a box and a label. I seriously questioned this as I have never had them offer me a box and a label. I was correct, no box and label. I was transferred around and around. I was finally told that I could I could use a label I had previously used. Honestly I doubt it but at this point, I give up. If they are to unknowledgeable about how to do their job I do not know how to fix that. I will try and use this label and if it doesn't work I quit! I do not have hours and hours to spend on the phone. I have only ever had one employee there go way above and beyond to help me out. That was back in January. I experinced nothing but exceptional service. My internet provider went dark, never return a call from June 2-16. I was panicked. I'm in graduate school and require to be online several times weekly or FAIL! I walked into the office on a Tues at 2pm, 4 people in front of me and I waited for Theresa to call me up. She was kind, helpful and accurate. Theresa knows her stuff and she treats each customer like they are the only person in the room. She was amazing! When it was my turn, she had me signed up, my order complete and a tech scheduled for less than a week out. Home install was just as satisfying. Ash was fast, clean, educating and respectful. He made sure all devices were connected and gave me tips to help me in the future. Thank you Ash! The best part? Service is wildly fast and less expensive than the undeserving company that ghosted me. read more

There are 1.4 billion people in India. I think I have spoken with half of them trying to get someone to reconnect my WiFi and tv on the home we just bought in the village. Two weeks of trying and two appointments that were not kept. Hours and hours on the phone, and then I have the wrong department. They will have a mythical someone get back to me. I am so tired of receiving emails and messages about no longer possessed equipment from March 2021! These messages started in October 2022 when we got streaming TV for baseball and football season. I have called the number associated on the email without success; the associate said it was not the correct number and to call the number on my bill. I work 9-5:30 Monday thru Friday and don't have my bill. Also this cannot be dealt with in my online account. When I started the streaming TV service a couple months ago. We had trouble getting it going and one of the reps we contacted for help said we needed to return our old equipment. "No, when I cancelled my too expensive cable a year and a half ago the equipment was returned to the Ukiah (California) store on North State Street." I am really at the end of it. Between the cost ($138 amonth for internet and streaming cable) and the issues with my dad's cable I am about to cancel ALL Xfinity Comcast services. This is ridiculous. read more

They are useless They wouldn't take a forwarding address from me because they said they can't handle paper?? i was directed to the kiosk which was not working well for me. I've been a Comcast customer for decades. Every year they tell me "Thank you for your loyalty. By the way, this year we're raising your bill and taking away more channels!" I got tired of it so this year I cancelled my tv service but have maintained my internet service with Comcast, which I have had relatively few problems with. When I cancelled my tv, they gave me the flex box which is basically a streaming device. I will say this much about it. It's free. And I am reminded that you do get what you pay for. I decided I wanted to watch Hamilton on Disney Plus on the flex box and guess what? The app's not there and apparently there is no relationship between Comcast and Disney Plus. There have to be better services out there...and I am going to find them! read more

This was the second time with this employee because I had to go in for a remote a year ago. I had a misunderstanding with my last bill which generated or was send after I had moved when I called after it was finally forwarded to my new address it was already in collections. The phone representative was very pleasant and understanding and requested I drive to the Ukiah store . So as I promised I drove 45 minutes to the Ukiah store which was empty except one heavy set Hispanic gentleman who was on his cell phone. When he asked how it could as I explained he had a look like he didn't even care. Speaking over the music coming from his cell phone being on hold for personal business. I began to give him my address and he stopped and said he couldn't help me I needed to drive to Santa rosa and hour further away. And told me to use kios which couldn't find me. He stated he didn't know what to do it was obvious he had no concern in helping me I then stated "dude your being an a**hole" He worked for comcast they told me to come here 45 min away and now your not doing your job. He said I swore at him ( ya I called him an A**hole) he refused to give me his name. I left called the representatives on the phone who were very helpful, apologetic and fixed the issue that I originally drove to Ukiah to accomplish. I love comcast. Always pleasant. Not sure who hired this kid but he shouldn't be representing you. read more

Probably the best experience I've had at a Comcast center ever. The store manager (can't remember his name) helped me do the express pay option at the Ukiah Comcast store. It was fast, painless & SUPER EASY to use. He said I was the first person to actually like the new system, took my photo of me smiling and I've never been happy! Horrible customer service. I've called quite a few times trying to get my bill reduced to an affordable rate and to be credited for overcharges in recent months, and we have had the run-around with reps keeping us on the phone for long periods of time, only to use salesmen's techniques to sell us equally overpriced plans. Our neighbors pay 1/4 to 1/2 of what we pay, and Comcast tries to explain this as perfectly reasonable based on difficulty of delivery. This is ridiculous and untrue in our particular area. We would qualify for the student internet rate of 9.95/month, but they have a ridiculous rule that says you must go without internet service for 3 months prior to signing up. The bottom line for Comcast/XFinity is the almighty dollar. read more

Went to get Cable Cards when moving our TiVo series 3 to another household. No phone calls allowed; you must come in to do anything. -first visit we were given Cable Cards that were still registered to an old account. With Comcast to You have to keep calling until you get someone who knows something. We were lucky and got someone knowledgeable on only our second call. -Upon returning for unencumbered Cable Cards we were told by another clerk at the store that "Comcast was still analog in Ukiah" and no Cable Card would work in our device. This was the easy answer because it meant she did not have to do anything. It was also a wrong answer but instead of arguing, we persuaded her to give us the Cards anyway. -We called Comcast again and (credit where credit is due) the FIRST person we talked to knew there business and activated the TiVo. Would I go to that Comcast store again? Yes, because including internet, what choice do I have? read more

The Hispanic guy at the front desk was the rudest customer service I have encountered in a long time. We pay tons of money for tv that's pretty much commercials and we upgraded our service on the 1800 number since they don't have a phone number. The 1800 number said to go in and pick up the box the guy at the desk just looked at me stupid and said that's not how we do it here in mendocino county! I don't care that they can't get their stuff together or they don't have a phone to call or that they overcharge and know it. It was the horrible service the way he made me feel stupid. went online and got what's called there Flex streaming box, no extra cost at all. Told them that I wanted to pick it up at this service center. They had me set up so all I would have to do is go into the office to pick up the box for it, said it was no problem. Got into the office to pick up the streaming box, the salesman brings up all my info then tells me we don't service the flex streaming box in Mendocino county, I asked then why was I set up for it over the phone, he tells me I don't know then just repeats that they don't service it in Mendocino county, with some blank look on his face. Switching back to AT&T because Comcast customer service SUCKS !!!!!! Do not recommend dealing with them at all. Plus to get any kind of deals through them is impossible because I am always getting emails from them about different promotions and when I try to call to see about getting the promotion they won't give it top me or I'm not eligible for it because it's for " new customers " only. WTF is with that, like I said, back to AT&T it is. And it looks like that all the 1 star reviews are because they've elt with the same person that I had to deal with. Took care of our cable needs quickly, efficiently and with a smile.

Comcast has to be the worst company in America! I called them with the model number, IMEI number and MAC address off a modem listed on eBay to confirm it could be activated. They assured me it could be! When l received the modem l called them and asked them to activate it and they did. It ran at less than one quarter of normal speed but the agent assured me it took time to get up to speed. After 2 hours it was no faster than in the beginning so l called them back. This agent told me the cable modem was on someone else's account and couldn't be fully activated. They refused to connect me with a stateside agent as required by federal law so l called corporate directly where an individual told me he would have it straightened out within 48 hours and was calling the "warehouse" to have it removed from the old account and transferred to my account. After hearing nothing for one week l returned the cable modem got a refund and bought a new one. The new faster modem, and service, has the same problems as my old on constantly dropping service. Another call last night resulted in the agent saying really nothing about why our service consistently dropped out but the agent said he would look into it and offered a compensation of one free month of service. Now this morning the corporate office returned my call, two weeks late, and said the one modem was sold to me illegally, l told him that l had already returned the modem and had purchased a new one. While l had him on the line l asked him if he could see where l had activated a new modem and the $20 compensation among with one free month. He told me he could see where we would be compensated the $20 but there was no record of any free month compensation. These customer service agents will tell you anything to placate you and get you off the line! This is a dishonest practice supported and tolerated by the corporate officials at the highest levels! They have been allowed a monopoly and they take definite advantage of it! If there is anyway you can avoid doing business with them do it! read more

This location in Ukiah isn't open when they say they will be. Angry customers outside when they are supposed to be open while the employee is inside with door locked and won't help anyone. Not really fair to people that work and get there an hour and a half early. Not open on Saturdays. Totally unprofessional. I am so over this less than honorable business. You all may knw by now I have had an ongoing issue with them for about two years now. My case was sent to the executive resolution center for a solution. I was finally offered a package that would give me three more premium channels and an increase in internet speed of almost 100 mbs and an X1 box for less that I am paying now for a less complete package. I said great let's do it. A coupe of days later I had to again contact Comcast for answers. I was then sheepishly informed that that package I had been promised was not available to me. So they told me I have the best package for my area even though there are three premium channels available in a package I can't get, for less money than I am paying now. Funny how if you can't get the entire package then the channels offered in that package can't be had at all (even though I am paying more than those that can get the package). I think if we want this issue resolved and we the customers of Comcast should all pound the emails of Comcast's Executive Resolution team. It took me two years and countless emails to get any answers at all. I am not going to stop until I get at least the same package price as everyone else or I shall start deducting money from my monthly bill. So to sum up today, if you can get something from somewhere else then don't use Comcast. For in our area you will always be paying more for less. It took me two years to get that answer from Comcast itself. And I shall start my search for something to replace Comcat. read more

Everyone is right about the guy who works there, horrible customer service going to complain to comcast about this location as well they need to get rid of him and the only women whos there is no better didn't want to help either was very rude looking at her phone laughing. Went in to get help re:internet essentials and return a router that never got activated but comcast wich is internet essentials was charging me not having an active account. Explained my situation with him and as if I were talking another language he looked stupidly back at me saying he didn't know, had doubt wether to leave router no receipt was given back. Called internet essentials and I was right they said it was still in the system that I had the router, dipshit at ukiah location is just watching YouTube and never logged my shit in. The 1800# was more helpful and logged that I did bring router to the ukiah location. Do not go there at all!!! Avoid those people. read more
