Comeaux's sausage is the best! I use the chicken sausage for just about every meal. This is by far my favorite seasoning!

Great service. Could be cleaner but nice selection of fruit and the crawfish aroma made you want to order at least 5 pounds.

My Bestie encouraged me and hubby to visit The Fruitstand for all things local. We did so after leaving the Crawfish Festival! I am totally here for trying new and local and excited to do so. However, walking into the front cashier to order a strawberry smoothie, and strawberry daiquiri to our surprise was told, with a glowing smile I must add, that all orders were placed in the fruit stand and picked up here at the bar. The fruit stand was located through another door or walk outside and enter from the side entrance into the fruit stand. Not an impressive. Not the cleanest fruit stand. Fruit Flies are calling the place home. There's an unlimited supply of empty bottles and dust. But the parrot is absolutely beautiful propped near the entrance to the fruit stand. Not only can you buy a variety of fresh whole fruits, corn, zucchini, cucumbers, tomato, greens, so many other vegetables. Purchase daiquiris here, other drinks, boiled crawfish, boiled shrimp, boiled blue crab, burgers, fried frog legs, fries, and raw crabs and crawfish by the bag, much more. The locals were extremely friendly. Talking enthusiastically while waiting in line. Hinting that if I'm here, I must be here for the boiled crawfish! Ha! Continuing, husband said his strawberry daiquiri was extra fruity and lite on rum. My smoothie was ok. Perhaps do as the locals, order boiled crawfish and beer! Eat in or take order to go. There were communal tables for indoor dining.

Louisiana Crawfish - for those familiar with this delicate freshwater crustacean there's nothing…read morethat compares, these Louisiana farm raised crawfish are the absolute best in class. Breaux Bridge is in the heart of Cajun Country a.k.a. "The Crawfish Capital of the World" and folks around here know their crawfish and they never settle for anything less than the freshest crawfish available with the highest of quality. I often buy these frozen crawfish tails packed in their own fat when traveling through or from Louisiana - these delicious mudbugs usually end up in a black pot of Étouffée or Jambalaya long after the season is over served over white rice or pasta but I've also been known to fry or sauté them and create a delicious crawfish po-boy on a crusty loaf of french bread. There are a number of farmers and processors around the state that provide a high quality product and believe me these guys are at the top of that list. I was raised on these crustaceans so the recipes are forever stored in my brain, but for the novice there are recipes printed on the packaging and the internet can provide an unlimited number of options as well. If you think the price is a little steep here's a factoid for you based on a 15% yield it takes between 6-7 pounds of live crawfish to equal approximately 1 lb. of tail meat now dats a real bargain...

The Butcher here makes some awesome chicken & apple sausage. WOZA. The best way to have his Chicken & apple sausage is for breakfast with Bourbon maple syrup & buckwheat pancakes. You can tell him I said that ;) Anyhoo, he also makes some amazing seafood stuffed mushrooms. Yum yum yum. I want to drive over right now & get some of those. Last time I stopped by I got a whole giant pack of them, BBQ'em on the grill, then hubby & I fought over them till one bounced off the grill & the cat ran off with it. The irony. They are slightly different than Poche's stuffed mushrooms these have a whole shrimp on top of them. Meow! :)' My only complaint is they don't carry any fresh baked breads by Gambino's Bakery & that is a cardinal sin for a Cajun place. Come on y'all? Don't be cheap coonass's order the Gambino bread & I will update my review. Merci à bientôt.

It is on the right side of the street for a stop to pick up supplies before heading into the famous Crawfish Festival, and you are sure to be welcomed by the friendly staff that always makes you feel like family!!! This is one of my favorite places to shop!!! If you are in town stop by, you won't be disappointed!!! Reste affamé mes amis!!!

Every time I fly home, I go to Charlie Ts! Best boudin in the world!…read more I might live in California, but I was born and raised in Breaux Bridge. I've been eating this boudin since I was a kid. The quality and flavor haven't been compromised over the years at all! Each time I come back home, there seems to be another new boudin spot to try, with fancy fillings and a mascot/logo similar to Charlie Ts, but no matter how many I try, Charlie Ts always takes the number one spot! Their formula is just SPOT ON! The service is always great, although I do miss seeing Mr. Charlie in the store. There's nothing like seeing the man who fixed your boudin as a kid still doing the thing he loves! I'm happy for his retirement, but he is forever a part of my childhood! The store is very clean every time I visit, and there's ample parking out front. You will get more options the earlier you go. Trust me, everybody knows Charlie's is the best, so you don't want to wait until the afternoon when there are only a couple boudin balls left. Go early. I personally prefer their classic links and the regular pork boudin balls. The formula is perfect and doesn't really need the bells and whistles, to be honest, but if you prefer a party in your mouth, try the pepperjack cheese or even the spinach and cheese eggroll! They will not disappoint! And I can't forget, their cracklin is the BOMB! If I visit Breaux Bridge and don't bring back some cracklin to my mom in California, she gets cranky! Lol. I also appreciate the frozen options! I was able to fly some frozen boudin home and share with friends who'd never had boudin before. They loved it, and I'm glad I got to introduce them to the BEST :)
