The customer rep. told me they only only a one time per year refund of the late charge and interest they billed me for. They blamed the post office who remarkably delivered one payment in 4 days yet the other took 11 days, and amazingly 1 day after it was due. I tried to call customer service (from middle east) and could not get anywhere with an explanation. So I called a local PNC Bank who tried to get a refund to me but corporate wouldnt allow it. Lol. Are they overseas too?I I am so glad that after 35 years of banking with PNC , they can make a 100 dollar late and interest fee more important than keeping my 4 credit cards and checking and saving accounts!!! That being said, with their incredibly low rates, no fees to make a payment, and very kind customer service reps, I can now give them 5 stars. I can't hate Genisys more. They are run on fees. I am already paying interest, but I had no idea a fee would be charged every time I had extra cash to make an additional payment. So 2 ways around the fee. Set up auto pay, or use bill pay. My goal was to pay off my car sooner, so I wanted to be able to make an additional payment. I opened a checking account with a different bank just to use bill pay, since my current checking account didn't have bill pay. Super annoying. I made a $700 extra payment by bill pay, and 5 days later... thats 5 days AFTER Genisys cashed the check, the payment still has not been reflected on my acct. So where is the $700??? I asked them and was directed to call a different number since it's a bill pay issue. No, it's YOUR issue for requiring all these hoops just to pay down a dang loan without paying fees to do so. How bad off does a credit union need to be to charge a fee just to make payment???? My frustration, is your chance to turn around and walk away from this place! A bonus is that the app it also terrible. So much motivation to pay off and get the heck out of Genisys... I am so upset I would pay another fee just to leave this place.
