I had a tough time finding a dry cleaner that seemed reputable, much less affordable. In the end, I picked Comet here on Kuykendahl, and could not be more pleased. I went on one of their discount days, and they cleaned nine items for under $100, which is a heck of a deal these days. Now, I don't have suits worth hundreds and thousands of dollars, but from what I can tell they are spotless, smell clean, and undamaged. That's all I ask. Keep doing what you're doing over there. This is by far the most cost effective dry cleaner in the area. We shopped around and everyone else was 20-50% higher. However, this is a no frills simplistic dry cleaner. You won't get the "let me hold your hand" experience like MW, but they won't charge you twice as much to clean your clothes. I am at this location on average twice a week. Saturday and Wednesday are the two days they give an automatic discount. The only down side is that they don't send out or hand out coupons, so make sure you drop on Wednesday or Saturday. Another positive is that (and I realize I am about to jinx myself) they don't lose any of your clothes. Seems like every other place I have used, they lose something eventually. This is the second worst cleaners in the area (second only to the value cleaners up the road). They've ruined 7 pairs of my pants (yes, my fault for giving them six more chances after the first time) but never again. The counter folks blame the workers in the back and the workers blame the intake employees. If you have nice/expensive clothes find another cleaners. The manager has apologized to me so many times I refuse to hear it again. No changes have been made, they just keep making mistake after mistake - if I had time to waste I'd take this location to court for the nearly five hundred dollars in damage they've caused in under a year. I came in with 50 table linens for my wedding and was told they would be $2.99 each. When I went to pick them up, the total was more than I expected and I found it that I was going to be charged by the size so the price went up. Antonia admitted to making a mistake and did everything she could to correct this issue. She was very nice and honest about everything and even called the manager to make things right. I Will never give them my business again. I took some of my husbands fitted houston hats in, along with some pants to be starched and some shirts (before driving from magnolia I called and clarified that they were familiar with the cleaning of fitted hats, I was told yes they could do it) and I explained to the girl that I wanted them cleaned but not washed if possible and the girl there assured me they could be done. I told her o wanted heavy starch on his pants and she asked "so heavy they would stand up by themselves?" And I said yes like that, when me and my husband went to pick up these items the only thing that was right were the shirts, the pants hardly had any starch on them and THEY WASHED MY HUSBANDS HATS....WASHED THEM! Who in the world puts a fitted hat in the washer ?!? 14 hats ruined, wrinkling in the fabric, the bills were bent and the shape was completely lost. We told the girl we they need to be fixed so she kept them and said they would try and fix them, i had to call them 2 weeks later because I had not heard anything back, my husband later went up there to check the quality of their work and it was still not right so my husband told them once again to fix the hats, one more time they said they would and have a manager get with my husband, THEY NEVER CONTACTED US WE HAD TO CALL THEM AGAIN, today was our final visit to the store were they expected us to pay 74$ for the hats they destroyed and would not compromise.
