That culminated in their estimator/sales rep Zach arriving, as scheduled, on Monday 7/6/26. Zach proved to be exceptionally knowledgeable & courteous as he evaluated all the variables that would impact the difficulty of installing a new system, and he readily answered all my questions. He provided a very competitive estimate for installing my preferred, high quality Rheem brand system to replace the old Lennox system--an estimate I readily accepted. The installation was scheduled for Friday 7/10/26. That's when the HVAC installation techs Kyle and Jason arrived early to get the job done. Almost a month ago I called just before a heat wave to report that my central AC was not working. They sent a tech the next day. After an hour's work he told me that he could not fix the AC because he did not have the necessary equipment. Huh? They sent a tech to fix the AC and didn't send him with the right equipment to fix an AC? Then he said he would "try to come back tomorrow" with the right equipment. Tomorrow came, and he didn't. So I called High Ground and was told that the appointment had been set up for a full week from that day. How did "tomorrow" turn into the end of next week? Anyway, the heat wave came and went and I did not have AC. A few techs finally showed up at the end of the next week with the equipment they said they needed and worked for an hour. Then they told me they would have to order a part and charged me a deposit of $900.00. The AC still didn't work without that part. Another heat wave came and went with no AC. I called again and asked if the ordered part had come in. I was told that the tech who worked on the AC was on vacation and would not be back until the following week. At that time they would review the account and find out what was going on with the part and the service to install it. What the... Why did he have to be present to find out what was going on with the part? Why didn't High Ground know whether or not the part came in and assign another tech while the first one was on vacation? By the time he returns, I will have gone without AC for over 3 weeks since I first reported the problem. Totally unacceptable. Do not do business with this incompetent outfit. They don't know what they're doing.

I was told that the master electrician would call on Monday with my quote. Surprised by that, I asked, "why would an electrician call me when the job had nothing to do with electrical?" I could not get an answer to that. Monday comes and no call. It's now been a few weeks and I've never heard back nor received service for what I paid for. They quickly ordered the necessary part, returned for installation, and charged a fraction of what David's Heating and Cooling demanded. The work crews were ultraefficient. I worked with two main pros, and they would swarm other teammates at various times to deliver or remove new or old equipment . They also had electricians and plumbers involved because of new regulatory state or federal requirements. I chose Leblanc because: 1. Their reputation. I've worked with Leblanc on HVAC and plumbing projects. They are always responsive, whether on a current project or in cases where (my old) heater or AC would go down. When I've needed them the most they've been there. 2. They stand behind the HVAC products they sell. The product warranty was 10 years, and their labor warranty towered above their competitors. 3. This company is still family owned. You can tell. I can't say enough about the workers on this project. We have a furnace in the attic area. When I asked one of their pros how they get it up into the attic, he said "we strap it up there." I tried to slide this unit and couldn't even move it, and these two young guys pulled it right into the attic. The basement was so cold you could see your breath. So between the freezing attic, basement and outdoors they were in near freezing temps for at least 30 hours. They never complained.
