In my case, for initial exam (usually covered at 100% by BlueCross), they insisted on collecting an advance payment of $355. Once I paid, they charged me $700+ for "Cone CT" and have not refunded the money. They subjected me to unnecessary radiation despite my telling them that I am a "cancer survivor" and didn't want the scan. For Dr. Stuparitz, it appears that making money takes priority over a patient's well being. Sad! By posting my experience, I hope I can save others from being fleeced. Even if I can save one person, I will consider my $355 loss had some redeeming value. Thanks!

He took an X-Ray, then did a CT scan, shared his findings with recommendations, and gave me a referral to the oral surgeon/implantologist. How much do they usually charge you for a consultation + X-Ray + CT scan? I know the answer, been there, done that, and your answer is wrong: Dr. Cooper charged me $0,.. Nothing! Can you believe that? I don't want people to print this review and show it to him, "You charged this guy $0, and I want the same price", but I just can't help yelling from the roof of the world's tallest tower, "This Doctor/Dentist must be from another planet where humanity, kindness, compassion, and decency still exists!" And, of course, his staff is always "top notch", and I suspect that the staff usually mimic the doctor, and I learned that in my long life spanning apx. 3 generations. They have a mini fridge available with waters in the waiting room and a coffee station. Once called back, the appointment felt rushed. I had imaging done and then had a 2-3 minute interaction with Dr. Max. There was no discussion of options, risks, etc. I was prescribed an antibiotic and told to schedule the next two appointments for root canal retreatment. I was a bit disoriented. I did as asked but eventually cancelled those two follow up appointments and scheduled with a different practice with more time for patient care and education.

Now that's a true CARE, isn't it? But perhaps I shouldn't marvel why Dr. Max is so exceptionally caring and instead marvel why not all dentists and doctors are this way, since doctors are supposed to care for and about their patients and put their interests first. Dr. Bahrani is one of the best doctors I've ever had. She explained clearly the work they were doing, what I could expect during the procedure, and made sure to go over what to expect for my recovery. This was refreshing. A common issue I run into with any health related treatment is the lack of explanation and clarity around the care that I am receiving. Dr. Bahrani takes the time to explain the plan and addressed any questions and concerns I had. Great staff, nice office, and a doctor who is very knowledgeable, experienced and genuinely cares.
