This is a really nice comfort with very clean rooms, they actively monitor the side entrance cameras and have a really good breakfast. The bed was comfortable the bathroom clean however the water was barely warm not hot. The sitting area is nice, but it's on sofa and there's a safe in the room along with a refrigerator and microwave The Front Desk staff was attentive and efficient. I enjoyed staying here and this would be my goto place to stay next time. I visit Amarillo. This comfort and is a level above all the others. read more

Very rude front desk people. After standing in line for 15 minutes, the front desk person tried to charge my credit card 4 times...the person didn't know how to use the credit card machine. There are some serious health concerns at this facility: 1. Sheets and Room smelled Muddy and Moldy 2. Dusts all over the room, every surface 3. Kitchenette including all appliances were filthy with past food residues, kitchen sink was more filthy than a trash can with rusts and past food residues, bathroom had other customers's hairs on the toilet, the shelves where they put the "clean towels" was full of dusts 4. We'd stayed here back in 2021, and had a good experience so I decided to book this hotel yesterday for last night again. First thing I liked both times I stayed here was the parking situation, they have a large parking lot and finding parking hasn't been difficult either time we've stayed. Their parking lot is well lit and the entrance of the hotel is clean. Check in was easy, and the room was spacious nice. I booked the 2 queen with a pull out couch so it was perfect for the 3 of us. The beds were comfortable and bonus points for the TV actually having cable so you don't have to find the tv channel that has the guide or flip through the channels until you settle on something. The breakfast was pretty good, the area was clean, they had an attendant working there who kept the area clean after every person. There were a lot of options even for it being a small area. I'd definitely stay here again if I am on this route and need to stay in Amarillo again. read more

If I could leave a zero star review I would. My family and I traveled over 9 hours and booked this hotel based on the reviews. We could not have been more wrong. The room was disgusting. Stained mattresses, a broken and dangerous mattress on the sofa bed. Blood on the walls of the bathroom, stained and sticky carpet. Gaps in the granite in the bathroom. Shower head was leaking profusely. We had no choice but to stay as our budget would not allow for us to book a different hotel as we had paid almost $700 not including the incidentals. A lovely, reasonably priced hotel on I-40. The staff is friendly, the room was comfortable and clean. We had a double queen suite and it was very roomy and smelled nice. Room amenities include a mini-fridge, coffee maker with coffees and various teas, a microwave, and a pretty large sitting area with a couch. The bathroom was clean, crisp, and enjoyable for relaxing baths. The hotel offers a small lounge/bar open until midnight, and a pool/hot tub that stay open until 11p. Ruben is a great employee and was eager to accommodate our needs. The only thing I would change is the room location. When we stay again, I would request a room on the opposite side of the hotel. Our's was on the 3rd floor facing I-40 and was very loud when the window was open. Otherwise, a perfect stay. read more

Stayed here for ONE night and was charged 3 times for three different amounts: $159.39, $173.25 & $138.60!! Called to see why and they said that the front desk guy had "accidentally" charged $138.60 twice and it would fall off in a few days. Had all the basics the basics covered, clean room, decent bed, and a hot shower with real water pressure after a long drive. The downsides: pillows the size of a marshmallow, a shower curtain that gives me 18" of space (yes, i am chubby and it kept sticking to me; i had to peel it away to wash), and NO ledge to put my soap and shampoo which meant more fights with the shower curtain whenever i need to get them off the sink. I know these are first world problems, but staff told me they are renovating and maybe they can update this while they are in there.​ read more

It's ok. Small room, very clean, but one of those "shared" door rooms. We may as well have opened the door for the poor baby having a meltdown, and realized we would have to whisper the rest of the evening due to the obvious lack of privacy. Service was great but we did have to ask what was wrong with the AC when we couldn't get it to work (they have to turn it on at the front desk) and a coffee packet that needed replacement. Bed was very comfy! Breakfast was a bag of carbs and a water. But coffee pot in the room was a bonus. And microwave and fridge. It would have been nice to tell us about the lack of a hot breakfast when we checked in. That's why we picked a higher priced place on Hotwire. Also short-staffed. Road construction makes it hard to get in. All rooms are accessed from inside. Nice people and clean enough place. Quiet with good mattress and pillows. All the usually amenities. Breakfast was adequate, but the sausage, biscuits and eggs weren't very tasty. The waffle was okay, they have a syrup dispenser, not a cup of syrup like I saw on another review. They had a bottle of sugar free syrup. Chobani and Dannon yogurt. Breads and cream cheese, pastries and muffins, fresh fruits and cereals. OJ, apple juice, decaf and regular coffee, all kinds of tea. There is indoor seating as well as outdoor. If the hot portion of breakfast is what you like, this may not be your best choice. read more

My experience was otherwise fine, except I got charged for smoking even though I didn't. I am a heavy smoker, so even without smoking in the room, it can leave a smell behind when I leave. I live in hotels for work more than I'm even at home, and yet it's only so often I come across a hotel that can't tell the difference, and am now disputing the charge with my credit card company. Smokers beware, they will charge you whether you smoke in the room or not. read more

This hotel was difficult to navigate, especially coming in late at night, during a severe thunderstorm and tornado watch. Roads were pitch black and flooded. We were traveling from a place where we don't have weather like this. The staff wasn't very helpful when we asked what we should do in the event of a tornado. The front desk person didn't have an answer when we asked, she said the wasn't sure and though to maybe pull the fire alarm? That sounds like a liability a very expensive fine. Does this hotel not have safety procedures in place? That's not very reassuring to guests. read more

Upon arrival, the check in was a fast & easy process. The room we had was two queen beds on the second floor. Not sure how long this hotel has been here but you can tell the effort with upgrades has been done from past lay outs. I will clarify one simple post that I recall reading about the shades for window panel. I asked up front about this because a lot of light was coming in and at first sight, it looks like there is no way to pull the drapery in to shut out the lighting. There IS a third layer, so if you want the room darker, look at the very back and you will see the wands on the very back (past sheer ones) to omit light from coming in. The a/c unit made the stay uncomfortable. It stays on for 4-5 min., stops for about 10 min. and that's it's cycle time. (this is when the unit is "on", not on auto) The beds were ok. The mattress shifts, so we would occasionally have to set it right. The fitted sheet either shrunk or it was never the right fit. Pillows came in a super small size and one normal but both uncomfortable. The fixtures depending on what room it is, are not done with quality. The first room we stayed in, you could literally see the hole behind the light/ceiling fan switch plate. Scrapes and chipped paint on walls. Visible dings, holes, etc. that were just painted over. Ceiling fan cord to adjust speed of fan was too high to reach and you could barely adjust it standing on the bed. One of the coffee tables seemed like it had a broken leg support. (wobbled bad) Sink by microwave area was missing the cap on the cold knob. You can see wood finish by the refrigerator. Refrigerator worked ok. Areas in the bathroom that surround the doorway are rusted/cracking/peeling. Something was on the shower wall but their was a glare in my pic so you may not notice and I don't know if it's just shower residue or product of some sort not wiped/cleaned properly. The door is extremely close to the toilet. You can see the wood frame cut outs under sink. The base of shelf was not cut to fit so you can see the gap on one end. Our view was of a strip club, lol! I did like that the room was spacious w/a small coach w/pillows. We ended up staying another night in a totally different room. We were so tired from traveling from Colorado and didn't want to bother driving/looking for another hotel and I had already looked at a lot of hotels in the area before our vacation. This hotel and another seemed to be the better choices. I had assistance from Laura w/our second room on the first floor, 2 queen bed layout, at a discounted price. Very nice lady and willing to listen to issues w/room, etc. and help accommodate the stay. Very apologetic and easy going. The pool/hot tub could use some cleaning attention on a daily basis. Ensuring chlorine levels are good and visually that there is nothing gross (small wads of hair) in hot tub floating around or anything left poolside that should either be thrown away or placed in a lost and found. With that being said, some people are just inconsiderate. Pick up after yourselves. Again, I can tell this hotel has been around for awhile w/attempts to improve and that is a good thing! Towels were available, the pool is heated which is nice. It also has a mini version of a waterfall coming off of the hot tub area. Paint is chipping inside the pool but we enjoyed our swim w/the kids. I like that it has card key entry. There is also a small outside area w/lounge chairs. At night the outside area is lit up in a neon blue. Looks cool. Breakfast was almost over by the time I was able to make it. My littles were all asleep so my hubbs told me to go eat. Sadly, they didn't miss much. Not enough syrup for a single waffle. Barely enough mix to place in griddle maker but I understand I went down about 20min. before breakfast was over. Fruit was alright. I only grabbed an apple. I found something floating in my apple juice after my second serving too that I was just about to down quickly. Ewah. I mentioned it to Laura. She commented with a sorry and that they never run out of syrup. Drink machines were out of order one evening we were trying to get drinks for our dinner but we received 2 complimentary drinks because of the inconvenience. I would actually book our first hotel again that we had in Amarillo but this hotel would most likely be a runner up. Not much of a hotel selection in Amarillo, so at least it's tolerable for a short stay and it wasn't bad. read more

We stopped here on our way back to Dallas from Colorado Springs. We are a family of 6 and it is so hard to find a hotel room that will fit all of us. This hotel blew me away! First of all, it is clean! It doesn't feel dingy and dated at all. We booked a double queen suite with a sofa bed and the sofa bed was top notch! Usually, the sofa beds are kinda gross, saggy and completely uncomfortable. Not this one! The suite was super comfortable for all 6 of us. The hot breakfast buffet was delicious! The food was fresh and they had a huge selection of food - hot and hearty, healthy and light, gluten free options, etc. The staff at the buffet was also so nice and accommodating and the buffet area was kept very clean. All the staff we encountered was so friendly and warm. Our check-in was late but the front desk attendant was still perky, upbeat and personable. We couldn't have asked for a better experience all around and this will be our #1 choice on road trips, from now on! read more

Trying to find hotel in Amarillo with good reviews and decent price for a one night stay was hard to do. We rolled the dice and booked this one as our friends were staying at the motel down the street (I may be high maintenance as I won't stay at a motel!). Pros: Easy to get to even with road construction. Late check in was no problem. Friendly front desk staff. Parking outside our window so we could check on packed vehicle. King room very spacious with a couch. A mirror and plug in by sink, refrigerator and microwave so I could get ready while hubby was in shower. Good lighting in room. Bed was comfy. WiFi worked great. Air conditioner worked and kept room cold. Ceiling fan above bed! Bar - yes a bar in the hotel that stays open til midnight! It was clean, good music, bartender was as friendly and drinks reasonably priced. Cons: Mini bed pillows. I don't understand them! Shower head was low on pressure but we did have hot water so can't complain too much. Towels could use some more fabric softener but they worked. Hair dryer is connected to wall in bathroom. We didn't try the breakfast but guessing it was good because the area was packed when we left. We would definitely stay if ever traveling thru west TX again. read more

This hotel was a poor choice. It was dirty and loud, I could hear doors slamming all night, and could also hear through the walls of the room. Night staff at check in was efficient but not very friendly. Once we got in the room the décor is lack-luster and run down. The bathroom was dirty, especially the outside of the toilet and tub. Bathroom fixtures were loose, so when I turned the water on the whole fixture would move. The breakfast area in the morning was so small and crammed that we skipped the free breakfast and headed to McDonalds down the road, I just wanted to get out of that hotel and get on the road!! There was a price discrepancy at check in from what the reservation stated. The clerk was frustrated. We needed to add a room and were told it was a busy weekend. We got two rooms and the key wouldn't work for one. The clerk gave us another one. It didn't work either. They assigned a different room and when we entered that one, it was occupied. My boyfriend explained to the clerk how dangerous that was as we were in Texas and rooms are considered a domicile and the occupants could have seen us as intruders and shot. The clerk got very angry and things progressed to a vey heated argument. This was the worst experience I have had to date. The hotel is in a rough neighborhood, and the staff we interacted with was awful. I hope the young man learns some better conflict resolution skills and that no one else is endangered. That stay should have been comped by corporate. read more

My wife was on a trip by herself to Amarillo, TX she stopped at the Comfort Inn and Suites at 2101 E. interstate 40. she asked about a room with a shower as she has a hard time getting into a tub. The night clerk said that he had a room for disabled people on the 3rd floor. when my wife got to her room, she found that there was a tub and no shower she could use. she stayed in the room. when she left the next morning, she left the state and got into New Mexico. she went to use her debit card and found that it was missing. We called the motel and told the manger what happened. My wife went 100 miles back. The manager had told us that she could look in the room. When she arrived the manager told her that he had looked and even flipped the bed. He was extremely unfriendly We called the General Manager the next day and she told us that she had the card and would send it back to us. I would be careful when using this Motel. read more

I just read the other reviews of this establishment and realized that my perspective about writing a review for this hotel might be a bit strange. On one hand, I don't know anything about the quantity of fruit in bowls or the policy on dogs or the colour of the rooms complimenting the hotel, even. It just seemed adequate the entire time. Bedroom was a solid 4 stars. King Bed with couch for $66 (with AAA rate) is a very good price. The swimming pool was very enjoyable. The breakfast however was substandard compared to our 2 previous stays at Comfort Inn. The gravy needed some serious stirring, 2 out of the 3 fruit bowls were empty and the hamburgers/pancakes combo looked disgusting.
