We totally love staying at Drury Inn ever since we found out about them when we visited San Antonio, Texas like three years ago! Ever since then if there's a Drury Inn during our road trip, you bet we going to be staying there! I love that they have a 5:30 kickback hour with hot hors d'oeuvres with refreshing cold alcoholic drinks and soft drinks! We got here a bit late so we totally missed out, bummer! We were able to have some freshly popped popcorn! Staff are beyond chill and super welcoming! They gave us the full rundown on all the perks. Check in was quick easy and delightful! We went to our room and it was so clean and comfortable! Just what we needed after a long road trip! If only we could stay a bit longer but sadly our road trip is about to end! Boo! I totally recommend everyone to stay here! It's a 10 out of 10! Run don't walk and book your room! You're welcome! read more

My stay had a few positives, but overall the property felt dated and in need of attention. The hotel is showing its age, and several areas could benefit from upgrades and better maintenance. One of the biggest issues was the lack of consistent air conditioning throughout the building, which made common areas feel uncomfortable at times. I also found the terrace layout inconvenient since there are no stairs providing direct access, making it less practical than expected. Unfortunately, the room had a funky odor when I arrived that never completely went away during my stay. While the staff was courteous and the location was convenient, the overall experience didn't match the quality I expected. With some renovations and improved upkeep, this hotel could be a much better place to stay. read more

Nice property in downtown Amarillo. Very in demand. Very friendly and helpful staff considering the volume of guests during our stay. Aside from the hospitality, I am guessing the kickback hour is a big draw as well. They are also pet friendly. We were on a roadtrip to Colorado and decided to spend the night on our way back. There were 2 tour buses when we arrived and it looked like we just missed the crowd at check-in. The front desk folks were an epitome of Texas hospitality. Friendly, laid back and the ladies just made us feel so welcome. We were given 3 drink coupons each for kickback hour. Our 2 queen room on the 2nd floor didn't have much of a view but it was homey and quiet. Kickback hour was busy but staff were surprisingly very accommodating. Their margaritas will give you a buzz. They have hot food items, soup and a salad for the complimentary light dinner. For those that have not stayed at a Drury Inn before, the kickback hour is similar to Embassy Suites' evening reception, but WAY better. We slept surprisingly well, considering the hotel's proximity to the highway. We had no problems with the ac either. Breakfast was better than your typical hotel breakfast with a bunch of options. We did not get to use the other facilities because we had to head out early. This was our first time staying at a Drury property. I'm normally a Hilton and Marriott girl but I'll definitely choose Drury if there is one available in my future destinations. We also appreciate the military discount they offer. I have enjoyed staying at this location for the most part. This Drury location is quite busy. I was pleasantly surprised that we didn't have an issue finding seating during breakfast and kickback time. The breakfast was great but the kickback service was okay. I have to admit some of the other locations have been more impressive. Employees seemed nice. Parking is pretty good and didn't have any issues finding a place to park. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. I didn't eat there but Chuys is super close. read more

The room was very nice: clean, plenty of plugins, nice shower, quiet, comfy bed---but best of all free cocktails and dinner included. This night we had yummy chicken noodle soup, bbq pork sliders, baked beans, Cole slaw, baked potatoes, salad, hot dogs, and nachos. Also great breakfast in the morning. read more

Check in was a breeze as always! The associate was very friendly and made sure I knew what time breakfast and wine down starts/ends. There is a $50 incidental fee which is released upon checkout. Also, if you're looking for a water bottle refill there is one across from the pool! The soda machine in the lobby has water but it's only big enough for those provided cups. Plenty of parking when we arrive at 3:30! Our room was so clean and fresh. We were delighted to stay here. Drury is still our fave Amarillo hotel! read more

Very clean and the staff was exceptionally nice. They had free breakfast, free snack and a free hot meal every evening with alcohol vouchers till 7, and access to the soda machine till 930. The suites were nice and big, but my only complaint is the mattress. It was very bounce and not comfortable at all. read more

Another fantastic Drury Inn. This is one of the best hotel chains, our family enjoy. This one has staff members who are so friendly and helpful! Each night there is a DINNER/SNACK TIME with a good selection of foods and drinks. Everybody seemed happy to enjoy. Starts around 5:30 p.m. BREAKFAST is great as well. We had a wonderful stay at the Drury inn. From the moment we checked in with the wonderful lady up front until we left after breakfast in the morning the staff was extremely kind. The hotel is upscale in a retro kind of way. Very nice and we really liked the whole vibe partly due to the FABULOUS lady at the front DESK! She advised us that we had just missed happy hourqfree hors d'oeuvres and drinks on the house. Three drinks on the house actually. And the hors d'oeuvres were more like dinner: pork sliders, mac and cheese, barbecued beans and more. We actually knew that they had a happy hour but we wanted to eat Mexican food because we were in Amarillo and they have some really good Mexican food. Please see review on El Charro. We were beat and headed straight to our beds and went to sleep. The rooms were very nice and clean and the bed was very soft. All bath stuff is on the wall in the shower. The breakfast was in a very nice room with silver built-in servers and it looked just very very nice. And the breakfast had just everything you could imagine. See my pictures. We got to the Drury Inn in Amarillo around 1am after a cancelled flight left us driving home. Nick Cardo unlocked the doors and was welcoming and efficient. He got us checked into our rooms quickly and his friendliness made a long travel day much easier. read more

Literally the best hotel to stay in Amarillo. I stay here frequently for work, and I have never once not only had not a bad experience but the best experiences ever. The rates are always some of the best in town, they are so accommodating, the front desk people are always above and beyond pleasant not to mention the rooms are always very nice and clean, and can't beat free alcoholic beverages at dinner every night! read more

My husband and I had a very good experience at this Drury Inn & Suites location. Check-in and parking went smoothly, the front desk attendants were very kind. Our room was clean and we couldn't hear the neighboring rooms. Our only complaint was a wad of hair in the shower. Breakfast was great, very busy! Drury Inn & Suites made my itinerary for a fun 3-day weekend trip to Amarillo with my daughters (10/8/2022). PROS + the friendly, patient staff! + clean indoor swimming pool & hot tub while it rained both days we were here. Lol. + complimentary snacks, beverages (including 3 adult beverages), light dinner & breakfast + mostly clean room & bathroom + Free WI-FI + quiet room w/a terrace option + several easily-accessible outlets to charge our devices + brightly-lit parking lot with spaces all around the hotel + quick access to Interstate 40 + many restaurants as well as a mall nearby + Pets are welcome: $40 daily fee, per room. Service animals are free of charge. + "extend your stay" rates were emailed to me at less than half the price I paid for one night + entrance to hotel was required before getting inside our room + no riffraff in the parking lot, lobby or elsewhere :) CONS - only one working elevator - non-flavorful food served at dinner & breakfast - not-so-comfortable bed I paid $160.99 for a "2 Queen Beds Deluxe with Terrace" for one night. This was our first stay at this establishment. I will definitely look into other Drurys across the U.S. as this was a really good choice for families. read more

The Embassy Suites that we love in Amarillo was booked solid, so we decided to try the Drury based on advice of our friend, Rosie, who had stayed at a different location and had nothing but good to say. We were pleasantly surprised and may have found a new Amarillo place to lay our heads. They offer free breakfast, free dinner, and three free happy hour drinks per adult. Our stops in Amarillo are always short: arrive, shower, sleep, get up, get on the road....so these extras were not part of our stay: but appreciated! The walls between the rooms are made of concrete, so there's no hearing your next door neighbors, which is awesome! Seriously, if you try to knock on the wall, you're going to hurt your knuckles, so no sound comes through. Each floor has a vestibule for the elevator so people aren't standing in the hallway chatting while waiting for the elevator and disturbing the nearby rooms. The bed was comfortable, there were enough towels for four people (we had a double room) and all the plugs and everything worked. We've had lots of problems with hotels post-world pandemonium with lots of items broken and in disrepair....not here. There was a microwave and refrigerator. The staff was very friendly and the hotel was nicely decorated. Will be back. read more

What clean bathrooms! Needed to poo and stopped in while driving past it on I-40. Immaculately clean bathrooms that smell like lemon pledge. Paper was really soft, making me feel like I was wiping with a cloud. Toilet flushes with excellent power and took my entire load down without hesitation. If you gotta go, you must come to Drury Inn. Decided to stay the night after eating at the Waffle House across the street. Bed was soft, couldn't hear the highway noise and the hot water shower was terrific. read more

We drive cross country with our dog several times a year and frequently stay at Drury Inns. They are pleasant with excellent staff, and the included "dinner" saves us from having do decide where to eat. This last stay however was subpar and disappointing. While Drury Inn is "pet friendly", this particular hotel is charging 60 dollars for a pet; at that price, the dog should get 3 free drinks, and dinner too! Most disappointingly however, was the smell of our room, which reeked of old dog urine. If you are going to charge that much for a "pet fee" you should at least put some of that money toward keeping the rooms clean. Starting to sound like a scam and money grab rather than a travelers' convenience at this location. I have not had this issue at other Drury locations, so management, take note. read more

Front desk representative Kiayra was exceptionally friendly and truly showed a desire to provide superior customer service. Many of my coworkers had fitful sleeps due to air-conditioning noises. I, however,  did not have any problems with this. Evening snacks were impressive with tortilla soup, salad, hotdogs, and nachos, among others. The three drink offerings were appreciated by many guests. The red wine was good, the light beer was fine, and no complaints about the mixed drinks. Finally, the hotel is conveniently located by many restaurants within walking distance. read more

Great stop over between Fort Worth and Albuquerque. Friendly staff and great rooms. Have been making this trip for 10 years and stay at this drury going and returning back. Many amenities including free breakfast and dinner. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Kimberly is great at the front desk and knows our name and always gives us a friendly welcome. read more

The worst continental breakfast I have ever seen. Stale bread, fried potatoes were hard and dried out, clumps of hard raisins and clumps of hard brown sugar for the oatmeal, scrambled eggs were wet and runny and the sausage were the pre/cooked Pattie's that tasted like they had been recooked over and over. This hotel has the friendliest staff but this breakfast is horrible and management needs to really step in and help. Oh and two people were hanging out in the parking lot tailgating, drinking beer and being loud... and if you don't like dogs running around the breakfast area, this is not the hotel for you. This used to be my special place. Like a home away from home. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Amarillo because I knew Drury was always 100% perfect and dependable. Too bad that in April, employee Kayara ruined it all for me. I don't trust this location and will now begin staying at another hotel when I visit Amarillo. When I checked in I heard her carrying on loudly about a guest who was still in their room past checkout time, that she'd called them etc. The loud fuss she was making sounded like something you'd hear an employee do in some fleabag hotel. Her tone sounded like she was concerned they were not going to leave, as though they might be scammers. Well what do ya know, it happened to me 2 days later. I called the hotel early that morning to ask for a late checkout. While I was packing up, Kayara called, now making the same loud fuss saying "I told them (maids) you was still in your room". Yes she actually said WAS. I told her I called the hotel but I guess they didn't give them the message. I felt so stupid and low because of her accusatory tone. At the front desk I told her again that I'd called for a late check out. She said they didn't get info from the number I called and "please know" I should call their direct number. I said I called the number I thought was the front desk and how was I supposed to know it wasn't the right number?? She just stared at me and physically backed up. Drury, where's your employee training? It doesn't matter what number I mistakenly called. It's not my fault your staff don't communicate. I should've been treated kindly and in a professional, understanding manner. Not someone arguing with me how wrong I was. The Albuquerque location would never have spoken to me that way. Obviously Kayara has a frantic issue with people still in their rooms not long after check out. You're not my special place anymore. As long as there's a chance she still works there I'll never go back. read more

This place was fantastic. I didn't want to leave! Clean friendly pet friendly place. I was worried about the cross country trip with dog and especially a cat with finding a clean place to stay. This is it. And an actual breakfast, not just beagles and cereal. Even offered dinner room service and snacks but we're not there in time. Very comfy king bed and although the queen pull out bed was uncomfortable for my 14 year old- we were fine haha I will be staying again. read more

Excellent stay all around. Easy check in which could have been a mess as we had four rooms. Clean hotel. We had one room with a hot water issue that was well handled. Sheltered in place during a windstorm that was well handled by the team. Great Job staff! read more

I've always stayed @ the choice hotels here but last minute I decided to try out Drury and they didn't disappoint. Free drinks from 5:30-7 tequila sunrise was decent. I didn't do their dinner because I wanted a good ole steak from big Tex. I was upgraded to a king suite and it was cool. Bed was comfy and there was a wet bar with fridge and micro. Shower was good as well. Everyone was pretty friendly and breakfast was decent not great but it was better than what 90% of the other chains are giving out. Got to the hotel just in time for their happy hour free drinks which aren't the best but it's free booze haha but overall the room and hotel were clean and comfortable. The room was clean. I felt the area was safe enough with plenty of quick restaurants within walking distance. The staff worked to ensure cleanliness and encouraged social distancing. Horrible experience. Stayed here one night Dec 27. It's not a hotel it's a pet resort. Dog piss and feces in elevator and hallway. Our blanket had a bloodstain on it. Called front desk and they sent someone to the room to replace it. Offered $30 off the bill... really $30 is the going rate for blood stained covers. If it wasn't late and we were not traveling we would of left. We kept our full clothes and shoes on when we slept and didn't use the shower. Place was absolutely disgusting. Would sleep in my car before I consider staying here again. read more

If you want to stay somewhere that has trash and dog poop everywhere and where dogs bark all night long, you've found your place. I stood at the counter waiting to check in for 5-10 minutes despite pushing the button and hearing people in the back. Took a walk to my car and took in the lovely scenery pictured below. 3 stars were because the room was overall clean, the beds were decently comfortable, and breakfast was free. I am so glad that we only stayed here for 1 night. The smell of animal and marijuana (can only assume a patron smoked prior to coming in because this is supposedly a smoke free property?) would not have bode well for a multi-night stay. read more
