Least favorite stay on our trip from North Carolina( stayed at two other hotels). We came here for my husband's job. Pool closed 3 days, with young children the pool is very important to us during each of our hotel stays. The staff tried to help out on day number two that's the only reason I gave 3 stars. Besides the pool, the rooms are pretty clean but the halls are a bit dirty. I was worried with it being pet friendly, it would be obvious but I wouldn't have known had I not seen the dog guests. read more

We stayed here 2 nights May 7-8: 2 of us in a standard room and 2 in a mobility accessible room. The rooms were clean, comfortable with great free breakfast. The elevated toilet was the right height, grab bars on the left side and the accessible tub shower had a seat for 92 year old mother could get her shower. Our only challenge was the shower hardware was missing the diverter. The other room had a challenge with extremely hot water without cool mixture. Front desk staff, Beverly, was able to find an empty shower for my husband to use before we had to leave. We look forward to coming back! read more

My husband and I have stayed here 5 times. We made the trip from Phoenix to Memphis and back several times. This Hilton property is our go to place to rest. It's pet friendly. The staff is helpful and doesn't mind my need to check the room first, they always accommodate my request to have a window facing my car and far from the ice machine. The rooms always clean and very spacious. Seriously, these rooms are huge. Breakfast has several hot and cold options. The coffee is up to my husbands standards, which says a lot. read more

This was my least favorite stay out of my road trip from Massachusetts Pros: diamond member parking, right off I-40, room was very large, parking was well lit Cons: I didn't get my diamond member waters. The hallways smelled like wet dogs or wet carpet. The lights over the sink were out. The tub was slow draining, water backing up while showering. There wasn't any washcloths in the room. I tried calling the front desk times but nobody answered. *we checked in at 1130pm. So we didn't feel like taking all the belongs back downstairs to move rooms to resolve the issues. read more

Great hotel off I40. Pretty quite, large rooms, with large bathrooms. The sliding barn door helps with floor space. It covered the closet or bathroom. Breakfast was your typical hotel breakfast. read more

We stayed mid July for one night on a drive from TX to CA. Pros: VERY large room. We've stayed in many Hamptons and this was the biggest room I remember. Clean, nice. It's pet friendly, which, being allergic to dogs, worried me a bit, but I had no problems. Either they have pet-specific rooms or they clean very, very well. Pool and gym are open and require no reservations (if "reservations" sounds weird to you, you haven't stayed at any other hotels during the pandemic...). There is still a hot breakfast, which you can eat in the breakfast area. The location is great for roadtripping, right off the freeway and next to The Big Texan. Cons: The coffee SUCKS. It's not just typical diner coffee, it's practically arsenic. Undrinkable. The pool is indoors, which to me is always a little gross, but this one didn't appear to be well maintained. Maybe all the cleaning effort is going into the rooms and lobby. The pool water was totally opaque and the Jacuzzi was out of service altogether. The bathroom in the pool area had not been cleaned even though we were the first guests to use the pool that morning. Also, the pool hours have been shortened due to COVID. I'm not sure how opening the pool at 9 instead of 8 helps to Stop The Spread (especially if that hour isn't spent cleaning the bathroom), but we all know these rules are arbitrary. Also related to coronavirus, the breakfast situation is a bit cumbersome. It's pretty much the same Hampton's spread, but you walk up and order it from a staff member instead of retrieving it yourself. It's not horrible - and honestly it's better than the other Hilton line hotels we stayed at on our trip - but I'm not going to lie and say I loved it. Credit due to the hotel for trying their best to deliver the same breakfast in a strange time. A word on safety precautions, for those who care: the staff wore masks, across the board. There was a nice big, welcoming plexiglass separating you from the check in person as well. Everything looked and smelled very clean (other than the pool), and the hotel appeared to be operating at FAR less than 50% capacity (by state regulation or the current destitution of the tourism industry, I'm not sure). That being said, the staff maintained focus on their main job, hospitality, and was not rigid or unfriendly in the way many service-oriented businesses have recently become. Masks are required to access the breakfast food (a fair requirement), but otherwise staff members allow guests to self-regulate. I will absolutely stay here again. read more

I'm a fan of Hampton Inn hotels but they really dropped the ball on this one. I get to my room only to find out it was booked already for the night. After going back to the desk to tell them, they realized the system either didn't tell them or they didn't noticed. Good news is they gave me another room. There was no other rooms available that size so I was given a suite. Lesson learned I guess to check the room. At least I got to see what a suite looks like. read more

This was a nice hotel close by several eating places. It's very clean, the staff is friendly and the price is reasonable. They are dog friendly. Mine is a service dog. They offer breakfast in the mornings and have several options to choose from. There is plenty parking and the lot is lit well so you don't have to worry about someone breaking in your car. We are moving from Colorado to Texas so had our car loaded down and that was a concern of ours. I would recommend this hotel. read more

The queen suite has an undersized air conditioning unit. Even after 6 hours, we are going to bed hot. The shower fixtures are broken, and only my husband is strong enough to actually turn on the shower. The pool is closed by order of the health department. God help you if you ask for help from the front desk - they are beyond rude. We are regular Hilton guests but would sleep in our car rather than stay here again. read more

I am torn on this Hampton Inn. In some ways it is better than a typical chain hotel, but it lacked in a couple significant ways. So, 3 stars it is. We stayed at this joint on our way west for spring break. It is easy on and off of the interstate and was not difficult to find. It is within a stone's throw of the Big Texan, if you are on the west side of the hotel you will see the restaurant out of your window. The hotel was fairly new when we stayed. The lobby and breakfast area were larger than I was expecting. The room (we were in 303) was likewise WAY bigger than I anticipated. We had a 2 Q room with a pull out couch and had plenty of room. There was also a wet bar with a fridge which is a nice touch for a standard room at a chain hotel. The room was clean and the bed was decently comfortable. I have slept in better but I have certainly slept in worse as well. The free hot breakfast was average for a place like this. There were assorted pastries and cereals, a couple waffle irons, and the hot food was scrambled eggs (they appeared to be powdered), sausage, and potatoes. For free it was fine but I would not pay for the breakfast. The issues were with the room. First of all, the ceilings and floors are THIN. They let a lot of sound in, particularly from the room above you. It sounded like the people upstairs were having a bowling ball juggling contest and were not good jugglers. So, that was particularly annoying. Secondly, the room never was close to being dark. The curtains allow way too much light to come in, and with its location right off of the interstate, there was also road sound as well. These are significant issues that really hurt the quality of sleep. If the room would get dark and the walls weren't so thin I would have probably given 4 stars, but here we are. If you need a joint and you are on the road you can do a lot worse than this place, but I would ask to be on the top floor if I were to return. read more

This looks to be a fairly new hotel. Rooms are decorated in lime green and 1970's orange. Right on frontage road of interstate 40. Next to the iconic Big Texas Steak Ranch if mass feedings are your thing. Otherwise tons of restaurants right up the interstate. Not a walkable area for sure! Shout out to Aspen Creek Grill for supper, an easy eight minute drive. I ignored the reviews on noise and I shouldn't have. But we are pretty loyal to this brand. Must be no insulation between floors. Sounded like a herd of elephants above us and their barking dog was heard plain as day. Window was covered in handprints so makes you question how good cleaning in general really is. Breakfast was being served as normal it looked like, but we didn't partake. Hot tub was full of water but sign said it couldn't be used due to maintenance issues. Pool was open. Most everyone has mask on. Parking lot was full but seemed safe and well lit. We didn't have any issues and we had stuff in our truck bed. No contact check in procedure is very nice if you use the pick check in online via Hilton app. Holiday inn express is in the same parking lot and would put you further back from freeway if noise is an issue to you. Ok hotel but nothing great considering how new it was. read more

This hotel is clean and beautiful well appointed. The rooms are huge. I loved the quiet and I mean quiet. This place was packed and still quiet. It is dog-friendly and spotless. We didn't make it to the pool but if it matches the rest of the place it's spot on lots of kids were happy and comfortable. The reason for just 4 stars is that the kitchen woman was rude and mean to everyone she encountered. I don't know. We weren't sure what to expect, while on a road trip, from hotels as we traveled during this crazy pandemic time. Any Hilton hotel is typically a safe bet as they usually have high standards for ensuring their guests are comfortable staying with them. This Hampton did not disappoint us. Check in was easy. The young lady who checked us in was polite and positive. The elevators and hallways were clean. We got to the room to find that our entry cards were sporadic in working; sometime the card would allow us in the room, sometimes not. I went back down to the desk and the same lady said that it was most likely the batteries in the door card reader mechanism. She immediately came to the room with me and spent a few minutes replacing the batteries. Problem fixed! The room was spotless. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the area under the bathroom counter needed vacuuming; there was a piece of toilet paper and a few dust bunnies on the floor. This hotel is 4 years old but our room looked brand new. Tons of pillows, a fairly comfortable mattress, clean carpet, furniture did not show signs of wear and tear. We couldn't figure out the TV remote as the "guide" button didn't seem to work but we got in late and were tired so we only had the TV on for 1/2 hour or so. All in all, a typical Hilton. We'll stay here again the next time we're coming through Amarillo TX. read more

I called with room type/price questions and a location request for a same day reservation, and spoke to someone named Jesus who was so wonderful and demonstrated a genuine care. Jesus provided a warm greeting upon arrival, which meant a lot after 12 long tiring hours on the road. He quickly handled the check-in and provided all the information on where the breakfast was at and everything else. He was truly the best! The hotel was really nice and room was extremely clean, beautiful and very comfortable. It was a very enjoyable stay. I would highly recommend this Hampton Inn for the quality of the hotel and most important the exceptional customer service they provide. read more

Typical mismanaged new property. One of the busiest weekends of the year -- Memorial Day and graduation weekend -- with a full hotel, the manager chooses to leave a kid running the entire place all night. So tired of Hampton properties that do this. Despite being new, which does mean the property will look good in marketing photos, this is a rough Hampton Inn already. Filthy shower "tile" (it's plastic anyway), missing floor tiles, no luggage carts, 10 minute waits for elevators (really!), a full parking lot (filled with huge trailers and RVs), and not a manager in sight. The front desk clerk apologized for the lack of carts but noted it was a busy weekend and people like to keep their luggage carts in their rooms -- to which I asked, if this is known customer behavior, why not stock more carts? And why is the room filthy ("it's the last one")? Why is the A/C not set to a reasonable temp in Texas in May (let alone turned on)? How are the walls already buckling? Why is the fridge smaller than an RV cooler? Why isn't there a manager to answer these questions? Never again at this property. read more

Brand new hotel with easy access to the highway. What more could you ask for? We got a king room and it was really spacious. There's a sitting area with a work desk and big screen TV. Also spacious was the bathroom which was stocked with plenty of towels and had better than expected bath products. Breakfast was also better than expected. There was a waffle making station, hot food, cereal, fruit, and pastries. They even had hard boiled eggs and oatmeal. I really like the coffee and tea area that they kept stocked all day. The location is right off the highway and very convenient if you and your sister are planning to drive until 4 am to get to your destination and your dad insists on buying you a hotel so he doesn't have to have visions of you dying on the Side of the road because for some unknown reason your car spontaneously combusted or something. Everything looks very new and modern, our room was very spacious and everything was very clean. I even considered taking a bath, which anyone with even mild hygiene would never consider. I slept so hard that i forgot where I was when I woke up! The highway noise was a little annoying, but overall not bad. First time I've ever had to write a negative review. Chose this Hampton Inn specifically for the advertised charging station. When we arrived the hotel clerk said it was "temporarily " out of order. When pressed, she admitted that it had been out for a considerable amount of time (actually, it's been out 5 years) and "Had we called, she would have told us". Yes shame on us for not completely unpacking the car as it was packed up tightly and who wants to unpack it when you just packed it 5 hours early and it's past midnight. I would not stay here again if it was free. Drove from PA to Amarillo TX in 21 hours and made a reservation here at this hotel. We were quoted a price of 118.00 for the night and we did have our pet with us. When we arrived I questioned why my card was being cleared for 156.00 and the young lady said that it was taxes and pet fee, to tired to go and find another hotel I agreed and went to the room. My wife and I went to sleep waking up around 3 hours later for dinner and when we went to take a shower noticed a LARGE patch of mold in the shower and mud on the floor. Again we just wanted to take a shower and go to dinner, we cleaned up the mud and the mold as you can see from the photo was to high for us to do so we just got cleaned up. When we left for dinner I told another young lady at the front desk who just looked at me like what do you want me to do about it. I told her it needed cleaned and about the now dirty muddy towels on the floor from cleaning and went to dinner. The next morning I was checking out when I was informed that the price was no longer 156.00 but now 173.00 and just told that it was taxes. This hotel is a joke and I would not recommend it to anyone. Not Clean and NOT worth the money. They don't even know how to tell you the truth about the price, you just have to wait and have sticker shock. read more
