Room was spacious and clean. Parking was just fine. Bed wasn't the best I've been in, but it wasn't bad. It's a comfort in and the price was two digits, not three, what do you expect? What set this stay apart for me was Emily. I'll tell you what, if someone's going to be up at 4am to let you in, hope it's Emily. Polite and understanding she booked the room, chatted and when I didn't have quarters for the Advil vending machine she spotted me the quarters. She also didn't hassle about bumping me to a 12noon checkout so I had some time for shuteye. This hotel is situation tucked back in the trees a little way off the freeway and I wouldn't hesitate to stop here again next time I'm back this way. read more

We booked this place needing a stopping point for our drive back home. It was one of the only places not booked last minute on a Friday night and I can see why now. I wasn't expecting much to begin with but it was pretty bad. When we got there late at night, not only could you hear a random guy incessantly screaming in his room all the way from the lobby, the elevator was out - not advertised on their site and also not great when you have an infant and all of the extra associated gear that goes along with that. And our room was supposed to be on the third floor. We were able to be moved at the end of the hall on the first floor, but it was right across from the heavy door that was the entrance to the stairwell that EVERYONE was using because the elevators were out. So all night every time someone opened or closed this door (which was very frequently) it made a really loud slamming noise and shook our entire room. This woke our baby up constantly. Our room also smelled awful like smoke and many parts of the room (linens, tub, shower) looked dirty as if they hadn't been cleaned properly. There were holes in the wall, the shower curtain was torn, our microwave in our room didn't even work. When I was packing up my stuff to leave I found a COCKROACH in my baby's pack and play. Overall this place just grossed me out and I honestly would have preferred sleeping in my car if we didn't have a baby. read more

My wife and kids stayed there from June 14-16 for a lacrosse tournament and were very disappointed with the quality of cleaning done in their room. The room had apparently been cleaned but it did not feel clean at all. The bathroom tub had a dirty ring around the tub and there were dead bugs all in the room. Additionally, my son was approached buy a male in the lobby area and was offered drugs for sale. The front desk clerk witnessed this and gave my son a look like it was funny. Not only is this hotel dirty is unsafe and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I called the customer service number and got a representative who could barely speak English on the phone and was offered points to make us happy, not surprisingly the phone disconnected and she did not call back. I called the property directly and asked for the manager/owner so I could tell him about this experience and I'm still waiting for him to call back! Don't stay at this hotel!!! read more

Since some of my family moved to the area I have been staying at this Comfort Inn at least a couple of time a year. I have kept coming back because I found it met all my needs at a reasonable price. Last weekend I stayed for two nights (Oct 23-24, 2021). I will not be returning. First, the WiFi was unusable. Yes, I could connect, but I could not retrieve any web pages. This was true using both my latop and my phone. Second, there had always been a hot breakfast served, and the web site promised one. All they had was cold, cereal and yogurt. Note that the room was fine, but I was promised more than that, and those promises were not fulfilled. So, as I said, I will not be returning. There are plenty of alternatives nearby to choose from. read more

Decent for the price. Booked this inn as a stopover on a trip to NY, after scouring tripadvisor for reviews and comments. As a one night stay, there wasn't much to complain about. Both rooms I booked were clean, had a basic cable package, refrigerator, AC. All the standard amenities were provided for. One thing I did notice was that the hallways had a strange odor - I couldn't place my finger on it, but it didn't smell very fresh. Still, the rooms I was assigned were ok. Beds were pretty comfortable actually. Some parts of the hotel had evidence of repairs or remodel - for example the third floor ice machine area was empty. Breakfast was standard fare - premade eggs, a meat (in this case sausage), various breads and pastries, yogurt, a waffle maker. These items were replenished promptly. The dining area itself was a bit warm compared to the other areas of the building (perhaps the AC did not kick on very well in that room). Although the hotel is located off the highway (and away from the main road off the exit), you do have to drive through a small residential street to get to the inn, which looks a little shady. The design of the parking areas didn't make much sense to me, as you generally can't see the lots from the rooms. Still not too much to complain about. This hotel is dog-friendly, so those with allergies beware. read more

This hotel was recommended to me by a friend who has stayed there many times, as he passes through on his way from MA to VA. My friend has a dog, as do I. I called the front desk, and the reservations clerk took me through the process of making my two reservations. I explained that I had a dog, and she in turn checked with the manager, who apparently said it was okay. After all that, she just called me back to say that the manager said that dogs are "absolutely not permitted". Waste of time, IMO. read more

A decent hotel for the price! My spouse and I spouse stayed at this hotel as it was cheaper than other hotels in the area. We ended up visiting Six Flags and choose this location due to the inexpensive rates. The hotel was nice as we usually stay at Econo Lodges, so this was a huge improvement from what we are used to staying at. We ended up staying in room 102 with the King bed and in room jacuzzi. Everything was great except for the fact that the room door dead-bolt didn't work. I figured that since the hotel was indoor that this wouldn't be a major problem. But my spouse felt otherwise. The room did have a moldy smell to it but nothing a little febreeze couldn't take care of. And then there was the EXTREMELY slow wifi. Which according to a signal tester on my iPhone came in at 512kbs. That like dial-up speed. My cellular provider Sprint's 3G was faster than the hotels supposed "high speed Internet". **Overall the stay was good except for these 3 things. I told the manager about the door not locking at checkout and God only knows if they ACTUALLY fixed the door. Also be aware that this hotel is family run by Indians; not the "Native American" type and that the language barrier can make it difficult to understand them at times. read more

Arrived and checked in with no issues. Entire hotel smells like a smokers lounge and pets are permitted for a fee. Aside from the odor and old decor, so far not bad. Been here 5 minutes and already here a dog barking in a room down the hall... I opened the window and hopefully after dinner my room wont smell like an old smokers lounge. So, after dinner the room smelled worse, so i asked to change rooms. Moved to second floor. Now just a musk/damp odor, better than smoke i suppose. The lobby workers would watch loud movies on thier tv while we were in the lobby discussing work. Very unprofessional. Also, wifi was very intermittent. At one point i thought my room was being broken into but it was the lobby guy on a ladder outside my door resetting the router. We were supposed to stay one more night, but decided to check out early and find another hotel... Unless you are a heavy smoker with a dog, stay away. read more

Interesting place. Non smoking rooms were once and again smoking rooms given the smell and shower caps over smoke detectors as well as cigarette burns in furniture. I wouldn't return despite the very affable and friendly staff. This place is in desperate need of a makeover. read more

I had the worst hotel experience ever. I was given another room after entering the first room and was greeted by bugs. The bathroom was dirty, a ring around the tub, hair on the shower wall; and the toilet was disgusting; the elevator did not work, and my room was on the second floor and my key card never worked therefore I had to continuously go to the front desk to get my key card activated. When I checked out the floor at the bottom of the staircase was wet and there wasn't a caution sign displayed. I complained to the manager via phone he thought it was a joke and replied sarcastically. I wish I could add pictures to this post because I took plenty. read more

We were on the 3rd floor, as soon as we got off the elevate we smelled the horrible smell of cigarettes. The smell was also in our room. We went back to the lobby and I told him that I refuse to stay on the floor, we were promptly given another room and told the hotel was non-smoking (hardly). The room was as expected, clean enough. I had wanted to take a bath but the tub was peeling. Breakfast was mediocre at best. Even my teens said the waffles were inedible . The worst were two female employees in the breakfast area speaking about how awful their jobs are, and how someone else didn't properly stock the food items. This went on for about 10 minutes. It was ridiculous and extremely unprofessional. I would not stay here again. read more

Not really Comfort Inn standard. The room was clean, but the overflow cap on the bathtub was missing with just a big rusty hole showing. The real problem though was breakfast. The eggs had obviously been cooked several hours before and were like rubber. I haven't had eggs that bad since I was in college decades ago. The first thing we noticed upon walking the hallway to our room was the stale cigarette smell. Upon entering our rooms, we had two adjoining rooms, the smell was horrible. I called the front desk, thinking a non-smoking room mistake had been made. The desk clerk informed me that ALL rooms at this hotel are now non-smoking. Well, that hardly matters if in the past this room was a smoking room. The smell is here and you haven't gotten it out! The desk guy did give us a bottle of deodorant, which obviously didn't solve our problem. I even found a cigarette burn in our bed cover. Non-smoking, right. Then, the door of the adjoining room where our (adult) kids are staying wouldn't lock. You could just push the door open. When we informed the desk of this new problem, the response was, "The manager lives two hours away," as if that was a good enough excuse not to be able to fix a problem. The rate here is reasonable, especially when compared to neighboring hotels, and Comfort Inn is a national brand. But we will never stay here again. You get what you pay for. read more

We stayed at the Carneys Point, NJ Comfort Inn last night or should I say checked in and then left. Upon check in the staff was nice friendly it looked beautiful inside myself my husband and 3 children were ecstatic about being away on our first vacation in 3 years together!! We checked in at 3 Tuesday May 21and had plans that evening so the kids grabbed a snack from the vending machine we layed their pajamas out and left about 20 mins after checking in to start our vacation. Around 11 oclock last night we were tired and finished our afternoon/night of fun the 3 children were asleep in the truck so I went in to get their items together while my husband parked and got the kids out of the truck. Upon walking back in the room I turned the lights on and started getting things in order for bedtime and went to move the bag of cheezits my son had left from the vending machine on the table next to the bed and when I did 3 roaches crawled out of his bag and scattered all over the table. I was disgusted I have never packed our items so fast in my life. I grabbed everything and checked out as fast as I could. Due to the fact that we had booked through Priceline I was told that I needed to contact them to receive a refund. I spent 3 hours driving home and an hour an half on the phone to with them only to be told that I would have to get a phone call in the morning. I refrained from posting on social media in Hope's that in the morning this would all be settled and the hotel would make it right. Boy was I wrong they offered us a 50% refund and that is it. It's not truly about the money but 50% is laughable under these circumstances the fact that my husband myself and my 3 children had to spend an additional 3 hours driving home after a long afternoon. I'm furious and now must take precautions to not have roaches in our home and items so our bags have been sitting outside since we got home early this morning. It was a good price and I was only staying a few hours to get some rest on of journey home. The beds seem clean but the room smelled like thick gross stale deoderizer and ciggs. The carpets are not something I would walk barefoot on and the tub desperatly needs attention the paint chipping and slow draining tub is gross my my feet are itching just thinking about it . The water didn't get hot and the air conditioner blew out a horrible burning garbage smell... Was planning on going to breakfast but that smelled killed my appetite ... If I was to stay more than a few hours I would have been very unsatisfied but for a nap during a long trip this was an affordable decent stop. read more

This is our third stay at this Comfort Inn. We stay here on our drive South. We love it for it's location right off the highway and especially because it's dog friendly. Don't understand the negative reviews. Yes the place is dated but it has always been clean and the staff friendly. It's quiet and I have not noticed any sign of dogs. Upon driving up to the hotel I was immediately turned off by the lack of upkeep to the building, it looks dirty and dingy. There were cigarette butts all around the entrance even though there are designated smoking areas. Upon check in the clerk was friendly and accommodating as we asked for a list of restaurants that deliver as well as an extra set of towels. We were on the first floor, we did not experience any excessive noise. The room was not as clean as I feel it could have been. The furniture and the bathroom fixtures (especially the tub) are worn and need to be updated. The upholstered bench had multiple stains on it. I did check for any signs of bed bugs and did not see anything so we did decide to stay as I am sick and having traveled for almost 12 hrs. I was extremely tired and needed to go to bed. The sheets and the towels were clean. Overall I was disappointed, after having looked online for a good 1-2 hrs to find something that met my needs and was in a location that was accommodating to our travel home from vacationing in the south. I guess you do not always get what you pay for, as I feel the rate we paid for what we got was excessive. We have stayed in much cleaner/nicer places for almost 1/2 the price of this room. I stayed here with my sister and niece in July for one night. We had free points. Maybe it's because our room was free, we were put in a nightmare. The room had two double beds and a pull out couch. What a joke that when we pulled the couch out to turn it into the bed, there wasn't enough room, and it hit the opposite wall! There was no way it could be slept in, so we actually had to move the couch to another part of the room so the sofa bed could be utilized. The room was dirty. There were urine spots all over the carpet so it must have been where they kept guests with dogs. The bathroom door on the inside was covered with scratch marks, again from a dog kept in the bathroom. Ugh, it was the creepiest feeling being there. It was just to sleep overnight, as we were traveling, but regardless, any hotel/motel establishment that would house guests in a room like that should be ashamed of themselves. No more Comfort Inns for me unless I get to look at the room first, then decide. read more

Worst place I've ever stayed at! Bad smell, dirty sheets and BED BUGS... The lobby looks very nice, which was misleading, because the rest of the hotel is not the same. The hallway smelled like covered up cigarette smoke, and the room also had a not so fresh smell. I was getting comfortable in the room but then I started noticing some things. There were spots here and there that gave away that room cleaning wasn't the best. When I was going to get into bed, I removed the blankets and immediately I saw that the sheets were very dirty. Everything, pillow cases, under blankets and blankets had different hairs, crumbs and other particles that visibly stood out. I asked them for new sheets, which they brought immediately. Also while changing the sheets I noticed crumbs of what looked like fried chicken and more hairs between the mattress and the box spring. So, after changing the sheets I finally relaxed and got into bed thinking that it was all ok... Well, that was not the case. About an hour later, I looked at the pillow on my left, and I saw a GIANT bedbug just casually walking; I immediately jumped out of bed. I took the pillow and brought it to the bathroom where I flicked the bedbug on the sink. This thing was about an 1/8" big, I saw it out of the corner of my eye, this is how big it was. After taking a picture of it, I killed it, and I started to check out the whole bed to try to find more. At the end I was not able to find more, but I had no choice, I had to stay in that hotel. It was one of the worst nights of my life, I could not fall sleep, I keep waking up and checking the bed for bedbugs. I do not recommend this place, there are newer hotels just a few minutes away. read more

I stay there for 4 weeks asked ever day about refund nothing but excuses. Have to stay down here for a couple of more weeks booking in another hotel not here they lied about the refunds read more
