Four of us were looking for a 5-star hotel experience less than hour from Philly as a little overnight treat for Thanksgiving weekend. We checked in around 3, pulled up to valet and the valet guy was nice but offered no help with our bags or anything. He said he didn't have a cart at the moment and I thought it was a little odd given how quiet it was. We went to check in at the desk and the attendant gave us our room number then told us he messed up and it wasn't inspected yet so we had to hang in the lobby. I was fine with that because I was excited to sit by the fire that they have marketed on their website (photo attached). No fire- just some electric candles. We grabbed a drink on the roofbar which was vibey but they charged my sister twice for incorrect items so we had to wait 10 minutes while they fixed that and we needed to leave for a dinner Rez. The room itself was nice, but the air was not working. The four of us slept terribly because of how warm it was- honestly so disappointing. We were also told they there was a nice breakfast in the lobby with pastries and things- again, not correct. There was one pastry type (good but still misleading) and some cereal boxes with warm milk. For $450 dollars this did not land at all. Would rather spend a few hundred more and stay at Four Seasons in Philly to get a real hotel experience. I would say go ahead and grab a drink here but save your money or stay somewhere else.

To elevate the experience the staff are top notch; welcoming and accommodating. We got to the hotel at 8:40pm and were directed straight to the restaurant, so that we could order before the kitchen closed. While we feasted the staff brought our luggage to our room. It was only after we ate that we checked in to our beautiful rooms. We then went to the rooftop to grab a few drinks and relaxed on the outdoor couches. We were bummed to miss the speakeasy in the basement but can't get too upset because being outdoors on a warm summer night with a delicious cocktail is a great way to start a vacation.

I suffered through one night with the scrawny thin blanket and cried when I showered because I felt dirtier after using their blackened towels. Shudder. The next morning I wisely stopped being so cheap and booked La Quinta as I was traveling with a cat. Oh. My. God. The difference 40$ a day makes! This place was clean and attractive, and there was a $25 pet fee but that's not too bad. The peace of mind was most important. The only problem was I wanted to take a bath and the stopper was missing! I was towing a small uhaul and was annoyed when I kept feeling the hitch cover in my coat pocket all day. Yeah I coulda gone downstairs and asked for a drain plug, but figured I might as well try the hitch cover first. It was right there after all, and laziness. Worked like a charm! Who said a square hitch cover couldn't fit into a round drain hole? Anyhoo. Traveling with a pet? Stay here. Do not stay at Motel 6. You'll thank me later.

I had investigated this as a resource doing pre-planning so that I could pay for it on my credit card weeks before the event. I live 70 miles away and, in a blizzard, if my sister lost electric, I would not be able to help her. I hired a friend to take her to the hotel I had paid for and she was turned away on a technicality. I pleaded for a reasonable accommodation for the handicapped based on the fact that I would pay for any incidentals with my card. SHE WAS TURNED AWAY! I complained to the sales staff and asked for compensation which was denied. I asked to speak with the manager. I left a message and six days later the call has still not been returned! I will only due business with a chain that takes better care of those with disabilities.

Two room suite with two queen beds, well-lit and spacious bathroom, walk-in shower, kitchen area, and living area. Living room has an awesome rolling desk for catching up on emails. I come here often for conventions and have never been disappointed with the experience. I only have one complaint, I drive a low car and the speed mountains in the parking lot are excessive.

However, you wouldn't be able to tell that by our room's temperature right now. While the lobby area of the hotel is nice and cool, our master suite is quite muggy and far from cool. I called earlier tonight to complain about the temperature and was told that they hit a button on their end. Utter bullsh1t. I guess they assumed the psychosomatic effect of saying that would cool me down. It's my first time here as my daughter is attending UDel in the fall and we're here for orientation. It certainly will be the last time! I'll stay at the Marriott nearby the next time. The location is great, but that's about it.

The rooms are very spacious and have a nice size TV and desk plus a fridge. So you can definitely get some work done in your room. They also have a full size ironing board as well as an iron for you to use. The bathroom is a good size as well. Overall the hotel is good it has some wear and tear due to maintenance because it's an older hotel but it is a nice place to stay downtown. They also have a small indoor pool and small gym/workout room. Definitely recommend for a place to stay.

I had 3 reservations for a 4 night stay as follows:…read more Thursday night May 21, 2026 Friday and Saturday nights, May 22 and May 23, 2026 (These two nights were at a wedding discount price for my son's wedding) Sunday night, May 24, 2026 Where do I begin with the grief of this 4-night stay? Let me start with the major issue, the window blind. No Window Blind It was only when I got into the hotel room that I found out there were no window blinds to cover the window. (The blind was sitting in the corner of the room. See image) I was not informed of this at the front desk when I checked in. I tried to call the front desk, but no one answered. So, I went downstairs and then the woman at the front desk informed me that some rooms had an issue with the window blinds. It was Memorial Day weekend. The hotel was filled; they were accommodating guests from 3 different weddings, so there wasn't another room to switch to. Fortunately, I had some safety pins with me and the woman at the front desk came to help me pin the slim side curtain closed so I had some privacy and to block out the outside lights as much as possible. (See image) I found out during my stay that: The blinds are lowered and raised by a motor to make it handicapped accessible. The hotel had previously experienced a blackout that burned out the motor. When I checked in, the hotel was waiting for a new motor to replace the damaged one When I checked out on my last day, I was informed that the company that made the motor is out of business; the inoperable motorized blinds affected 3 rooms. Okay, there were things about the 'out of commission' blind that were out of the hotel's control. But all the same, I was inconvenienced, so I asked for a discount to compensate me for not having a window blind. I was told I already had a wedding discount price. Excuse me, but that wedding discount was for only 2 of the 4 nights I stayed, and the cost of my entire stay included working a window blind. Really, Hotel Warner, do better. But there's more . . . Room entry cards As previously mentioned, I had 3 reservations for my 4-night stay. Even though I was in the same hotel room for my entire stay, I was told I must come to the front desk to check out and check in for each reservation. The woman at the front desk couldn't explain why. The next day I found out from another front desk staff member that for each new reservation, they had to issue new room entry cards. Okay, that makes sense. But why couldn't that be explained to me when I first checked in. When I checked in, I let the front desk know my brother would be coming in for the wedding and he would be staying in my room. I gave them his name and the date and time he would be arriving. I asked the front desk to make him a room entry card because when he arrives, I would be elsewhere getting my hair and makeup done for the wedding. Even the next day when I got my second set of room entry cards for the second reservation, the front desk confirmed with me that his name was in the system for my room. And yet . . . in the middle of getting ready for the wedding, I get a call from my brother saying they won't give him a room entry card unless I give them my permission. He handed his phone to the front desk staff, and I said it was okay for my brother to have a room entry card. However . . . instead of making a duplicate card of the cards I had with me, they made my brother a replacement card, which deactivated the room entry cards I was holding. Thank goodness we returned to the hotel room at the same time. ~Sigh~ Hotel Warner, do better Information sheet When I checked in, I was told of the hours of the breakfast. I knew I was going to remember the times, and I asked if they had that information printed out to hand guests, but the hotel did not. However . . . the hotel did have a sheet of area restaurants that would give a discount to the hotel guests. (See image) So it begs the question, if the hotel prints up a list of the area restaurants, why can't it have on the back side of that sheet the times of breakfast and the other amenities that were posted in the elevators. (See image) In addition . . . that information sheet could include the location of the breakfast (i.e. on the 1 floor, not the ground floor) and the locations of the ice machines. Both of these I found out from fellow guests or called the front desk (which did answer that time). Also, printed sheets handed out at the front desk or left in rooms can be updated more easily than the sign in the elevators. For instance, I was told that the sign in the elevation that says 'Day passes available to the YMCA' was no longer accurate. Speaking of information . . . The hotel didn't advertise that they provided free Wi-Fi in the room, the front desk or anywhere else in the hotel. I found out when I was checking out that the password to the WiFi is taped in the envelope that contains the room entry cards

Room was clean and quiet at night. Concierge was very helpful, informative, attentive. At least 4 restaurants within walking distance. Live music and wood fired pizza at the cafe next door. Small gym in basement level. Basic cardio equipment. Hotel was clean and nicely appointed.

The hotel is immaculately clean, and was a haven after our cross country flight on both occasions. We were greeted warmly and asked if anything was needed, though we had our door codes conveniently delivered so the entry was smooth. Our rooms were impeccably clean, and the beds very comfortable. The lobby is beautifully decorated with an impressive stone fireplace and the coffee table included fresh cut flowers (lilies in January - exuding a lovely scent that added to the warmth of the fire itself). The breakfast room was equally lovely and cheery, and a thoughtful array of pastries, cereals, fruit, waffles, yogurt, bagels, coffee, teas, juice and more were available. The proprietor and staff were wonderful. The Brandywine River Hotel is conveniently on the way to see family, but even if it were not I would go out of my way to stay there. It's a true gem.

I booked a one-night stay at the Hilton Garden Inn in Camden, NJ for a concert and chose to book…read moredirectly through the hotel expecting better service and flexibility. Unfortunately, the concert was canceled, and I immediately contacted the hotel to discuss my options. I was told the reservation was non-refundable and was directed to Priceline. After going through Priceline, they attempted to secure a refund but ultimately confirmed that the hotel refused to approve it. I then reached back out to the hotel and asked if they would at least consider a partial refund, allow a date change, or provide a credit for future use. Every single request was denied with no willingness to work with me at all. After over 10 years of staying at Hilton properties, this was by far the most disappointing customer service experience I've had. There was zero flexibility, zero understanding, and no effort to retain a loyal customer. Situations like this are exactly when customer service matters most--and this hotel completely failed. I strongly recommend that anyone considering this location be absolutely certain of their plans before booking. If anything changes, do not expect any accommodation or support. Based on this experience, I will be reconsidering future stays with Hilton brands.
