Overpriced for what it is. The man at the front desk should not be employed, by anyone. The staff made the stay regrettable

This Hyatt House is perfect for a night after a concert at Pine Knob. It's about a 15 minute drive…read moreto the venue, and they even have a contact for a driver who makes loops between the hotel and Pine Knob for concerts. I think it's $40 per person, so a bit pricey, but a nice option for those who don't want to drive. We were able to check in right when we arrived around 4 and I was so happy with the room - it was clean and super cold! There's a pool, fitness center, bar, free breakfast, snacks for sale, an outdoor patio area, and I think it's dog-friendly. We got a drink at the bar and the bartender was friendly and quick with service. They even have a menu of food you can order for your room (pizza, salads, burgers, etc.). The room had a coffee maker, fridge, and microwave and the bed was super comfortable. I'd definitely stay here again for another Pine Knob concert in the future.

This hotel really struck me by surprise. And a good and bad way. When we arrived, I was excited…read morebecause it's near a beautiful mall, Great Lakes Crossing with many attractions and stores. However, within the hotel, there were some issues... The room was dark like there were lamps, but it still felt very dark. The room was extremely clean however there were some stains on the sheets during a really heavy rain storm. We were laying down when all of a sudden there was a knock on the door. It was the maintenance man. He asked if he could come into the room and check and see if there was a leak. I was not dressed properly and I said I'll check. I will check the bathroom and I checked the window and I didn't see anything. A few moments later, we received a call from the front desk demanding that they enter the room once again, I was not dressed properly nor was anyone in my party. We found a male in our party to come up to the room to which they entered with the male present and noticed that there was in fact water on the carpet by the window. This water had caused a leak into the room below ours from the intense rainstorm. I'd like to note throughout this entire process a refund was never offered. An apology was given for having to enter our room so abruptly, however a refund was never offered. As a female traveler who often travels alone. I was very disappointed that the front desk staff didn't understand why I didn't want a mysterious person entering my room. Because of the wet floor, we were never offered a refund. We were never offered anything complementary which really disappointed me as a Hilton rewards member. Overall, besides this experience, they have a complementary free breakfast, but I was just disappointed in the lack of apology or compensation following this experience. I hope the people below us receive from form of room change or compensation as their rule receive the The leak do the intense rain storm. I guess I should also mention there is a fitness center. There are computers with printing access and Internet and there is a swimming pool. There are also meeting rooms and a bar.

I stayed here for one night when I was working in the area…read more My king suite was very nice! It was spacious, with two sofa beds. My bed was very comfortable. Lighting was good, and there were ample electrical outlets. Breakfast was typical HIE but everything was kept very clean. All the food was hot and fresh. The breakfast host was really on top of things, keeping the food fresh and the entire area spotlessly clean. Parking was more convenient than most locations. The parking lot was designed well for parking efficiency. One thing was kind of odd: There was a sign near the microwave that said "No popcorn in microwave per local fire department."

I went downstairs and a tiny the smallest size that comes in a family box is $2 thats insane. I could finish that in not even two bites. Whats going on where they have to overcharge guest on stays then we cant even afford vending machine snacks. Good looking holiday inn express. Lady at desk was rude first day too even though our company stays at these all the time. She acted like we didnt spend probably hundreds of thousand here by the end of year. Will be talking to my boss about spending money elsewhere. No reason to charge that much. No wonder they are full stock of everything down there. Candy is 2.50 what is going on

We stayed in the very first room, closest to the road. Everything was fine until the middle of the night when I heard someone talking and it sounded like they were actually in our room. It was the room next door. We could hear them talking, and could hear every word they were saying. Luckily we had a noise maker to turn on so we could drown out the noise. In the morning, it was also very loud and we could hear all the cars driving by on the main road. The bed was large and spacious, but when we woke up, we were pretty sore from sleeping on it all night. Its not a typical hotel, as it doesn't have a pool, breakfast, etc. but it was very clean, which is hard to find in a hotel sometimes so I will give them that.

This was cleaner than a lot of the hotels I've been in. The woman at the reception desk was very friendly and helpful. We didn't check in until about 7pm and she let us know right away that if we needed anything, the office was closing at 9pm (which was helpful for the second night). Our room was across the parking lot from the reception area and on the first floor. The motel was booked, as we stayed during a holiday weekend and there was a large family staying there for a wedding. Everyone was friendly and respectful. It was quiet at night, so no problems with noise. The room was impeccably clean and well-stocked. The pillows were quite comfy, which is saying something as I've been unable to find a pillow that both supports and is comfortable since my spinal fusion. The bathroom was very spacious and we had room to have one of us in the shower, another using the facilities, and another using the sink. Our only complaint was that the motel placed a $100 hold on the card for incidentals on top of the room charges, which caused issues with our credit union. Other than that, highly recommended!
