Absolutely loved staying here! First let me start I made my reservation for a work related event for two different weekends but I would absolutely stay here again for recreation. I stayed here back when the hotel first opened. I will say they have fixed their growing pains. The hotel staff was fantastic and were absolutely wonderful hosts. My room was comfy and well kept. The first weekend worked out amazing since hubby hit a jackpot and covered all our expenses. Looking forward to my next event in July!

Came down from San Antonio to support family retirement from Air Force . My 18 year old niece and nephew went to get food from the food court , I was about 15 mins behind them , with my kids and husband . Next thing I know my niece and nephew are being followed by a women. I asked is everything was okay , and what was going on. She stated they cannot be on the casino floor or food court . You need to walk through casino to get to food court though . Lol The older lady was very rude , and told us rules that weren't accurate. We all walk to food court and run into family next thing you know she's behind us with a security guard!!! He tells us something completely different . Point blank horrible customer service! Also drinks aren't allowed outside of there bar. We had no idea and we're escorted to the bar mind you me and my husband are not children we do not need to be escorted lol. Overall nice rooms , minus little roaches in restroom. Nice view

I give the hotel five stars because I have been to their juniper steak restaurant and had nothing but good experience and a wonderful meal. I have also been to a wedding at this venue and was pleasantly surprised. I wasn't sure what to expect from do hotel just opening up. But they pulled off this wedding beautifully. It was just the perfect amount of room per table it was set up very nicely the waiting staff was so accommodating it was just a really nice experience. I just wish that the banquet rooms were big enough to be able to have a prom there. It would be a beautiful place and easy access for Cleveland High School and Rio Rancho High School. Overall it was great

For just a few more dollars than the surrounding hotels you may stay in luxury with a beautiful view. We can't wait to return.

Beautiful, classic New Mexican architecture surrounded by desert and mountain views. The grounds are beautiful with options for biking (included), tennis/pickleball, walks, horseback riding, and golf. Located about 30 minutes north of Albuquerque and 45 minutes south of Santa Fe, made it easy to spend time in either. We were able to check in early, which was so nice after an early travel morning. Our room was large and included the classic hotel amenities, including waters. We were staying slightly during the off season, so two pools were open, which was fine as it wasn't that busy and it didn't get hot until about noon. Due to the location of the resort, it is easiest to eat at the property and there are a couple of options available: The Corn Maiden - nicer dining experience, Santa Ana Cafe - casual sit-down, Rio Grande Lounge - bar and bites, and Plaza - pool cafe. During our visit the Plaza pool restaurant was only open on Saturday. We tried in-room dining for breakfast one morning, as we were up early, the eggs had little to no flavor, and a couple of our items were forgotten/late. Not a huge deal as we understood they were training a lot of staff during the time of our stay. Overall, the food throughout all the dining options was just okay, and if there were more dining options close by, I would probably go there. The restaurants all tasted the same and there didn't seem to be much variety. It would be nice if at least one of the dining options was a different kind of cuisine to bring some variety. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, the staff was so friendly and helpful. There are plenty of activities to do at the resort and we loved that they had nightly s'mores. The room was great, but food could be better.

The resort is in Santa…read moreAna Pueblo, which is about 25 minutes outside Albuquerque and another 50 minutes from Santa Fe (though with the conference schedule, I was unable to make it to Santa Fe). The property itself is beautiful and expansive, sits on Tamayame land, and at the outset of the conference a member of the Native American tribe welcomed us and shared about the land and setting. The property has with multiple event spaces, an on-site trail, a large gym, and several pools. It is a fairly large resort (our room was at one end, so it was about a 7-10 minute walk to the main lobby area). Each day began with a large breakfast buffet, and lunch was similarly well done. One of the highlights was being able to sit outside during meals at large tables overlooking the grounds, mountains, trees, and fresh air made for a really peaceful setting. For breakfast, I enjoyed the red/green chilies chilaquiles (New Mexican style breakfast), it was very flavorful and I enjoyed trying but was very spicy/heavy. From a conference and events perspective, the resort is very impressive. There is a large main conference room with a stage, and the room can accommodate over 100 people (at round tables), along with many smaller breakout rooms. Over two evenings, we attended events at different venues on the property, one about a 10-minute walk away (with hotel mini-bus transportation available), and another closer to the main area under a tent. The more distant venue was quite large and set apart, likely used for weddings and larger celebrations. That evening included a buffet dinner, DJ, dancing, and multiple bar setups. The second evening closer to the main hotel was a seated dinner under a tent, with music and performances in a more contained setting. There is also a nice bar and restaurant in the lobby, as well as another more casual restaurant by the pool. Given time constraints, I was not able to fully take advantage of all the amenities (including the spa, horseback riding, and longer trail walks), but I would absolutely recommend this property. It is incredibly scenic, serene, and feels immersed in nature, and I would gladly return.

The hotel also has some frozen meals available that are very inexpensive if you just want to microwave something quick to eat before heading to sleep. We have stayed here many times over the years and have never had any problems. Overall Rating: 3.5/5 - Honest Review from a Traveler, Not......an Influencer…read more I was traveling through this area on vacation and chose this hotel based on reviews -- it had a 4.9 rating, the highest in the area. That said, I'm not sure how it earned that score. I suspect a few influencers may have artificially boosted the rating without even staying here. I'm not saying this is a bad place to stay, but it's definitely not a 4.9 -- not even close. I just want to give an honest account so others can make an informed decision. PROS: Security/Parking: Felt like a safe area. Our vehicle was untouched overnight, and parking was well-lit. Interior Design: The hotel is older, but it's been updated -- mostly with fresh paint and new furniture. Room Appearance: Generally clean. Rooms have hardwood floors instead of carpet, which helped with cleanliness. Breakfast: The breakfast was fresh and tasty -- no complaints here. Bed Quality: Beds were comfortable enough. The pull-out sofa wasn't great, but that's not unusual for pull-outs. Entertainment: Large TV with a good variety of channels -- definitely a plus. Pool: Pool and pool area were well-maintained and inviting. CONS: Customer Service: Check-in experience was poor. The front desk clerk was on her phone when we walked in. She seemed rushed and disinterested when helping us, like she had to get back to her conversation. Amenities: Only two washcloths provided in a suite with two queen beds and a pull-out -- not ideal. Towels and washcloths were rough and felt cheap. Also, bring your own body wash and shampoo -- the ones provided didn't lather or rinse well, according to several in our group. Housekeeping/Condition: There was a damp, musty odor in the room -- likely due to the age of the building. The overall cleanliness was acceptable, but the smell lingered. Food Options Nearby: Not much to choose from in the immediate area, so plan to eat before you arrive or drive a bit to find something decent. Final Thoughts: If you're just looking for a place to crash for the night, this hotel may work. But go in with realistic expectations -- this is more of a 3-3.5 at most star experience, not a luxury stay. I'm not trying to discourage you, just sharing an honest take so you're not misled by glowing 5-star reviews.

The place smelled clean when walking in and the room itself was tidy, just very worn down. Fresh paint and small updates would help a lot. There were gaps under the doors, so bring something to block it if that bothers you. Walls are paper thin, so you'll hear your neighbors whether you want to or not. Overall though, it was clean, cheap, and decent for what you pay.

No streaming services on the TV, just basic cable filled with ads. No coffee pot or any other standard motel room amenities. No breakfast, not even cereal or a muffin. It had been decades since I had stayed in one of this chain's locations - I don't remember it being that spartan back in the day. I guess my standards have changed. I won't stay in a Motel 6 again. From now on, I'll spend an extra 10 bucks and stay in a place that cares about the services and amenities they provide, or spend double or triple and find a very nice place to stay, even if it's just for one night on a road trip.
