Front desk workers are nice & helpful. Room attendant was kind. The woman taking care of the breakfast area is very rude and condescending. She stares at you with an evil eye while you are serving yourself breakfast, both from behind the door with a glass window that she seems to think she can't be seen or heard from and while she is about hiding up. Rooms are very clean, up to date, spacious, have a mini refrigerator, microwave, ironing board, iron, desk, wardrobe, drawers, and Dove shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, and lotion in the bathroom. read more

We were politely greeted by the front desk agents, and fairly quickly checked in to our room. Very large and comfortable room will all expected amenities. Nicely laid out suite with very comfortable king bed, flat screen TV, a nice little sitting area, desk, larger than normal hotel fridge with a small freezer, and a microwave. Everything I needed. They have a nice pool, fitness center, and everything is quite clean and well maintained. When I read some of the negative reviews I questioned staying here, but found it to be really nice. The lower rating simply isn't deserved. They do this weird "Register to use the pool" at the front desk. Kind of annoying since you have to re-register each time you want to be "let in" yo the pool are. When I asked why they did that the front desk agent simply said, "company policy". Lousy response, since I've never had to do this at any other hotels, but whatever. It's a nice pool, but not so warm. I would stay here anytime I'm in this area, and highly recommend it. It's also about $100 less than the Hampton down the road where I stayed last night. I think you'll like it here. read more

Pretty good location, which is next to a New York chain gym & Applebee's. This Comfort Inn is somewhat hidden in a way from the main road, which is a good thing. Very quiet as a result. Parking here is decent, and the room met my expectations of comfort & no drama. The Wifi signal was so-so, as well as the breakfast options. Customer service was very good. This was the cleanest hotel we've stayed at this year! The hotel decor isn't modern and that concerned me when we booked it, but besides that everything has been great. Check in was a breeze, our room is quiet and large. It's extremely clean. I haven't seen a hair or even dust on the windowsill. I feel very comfortable here and not freaked out. The room has a large bathroom, a mini fridge, microwave, lots of places to put luggage and a place to hang clothes. There's an iron/ironing board and hairdryer. A couch with a coffee table, an end table and a desk w/chair. The bed is comfortable and the pillows are plush. The room gets nice and cool with the air conditioning. The housekeepers are very friendly and do a great job. The woman at breakfast is lovely and so nice. The breakfast has a good amount of choices and she keeps it very well stocked. There's adequate free parking. The elevators are large and we never have to wait long to get one. We paid $827 for three nights and would definitely stay here again. Super comfortable and clean place! And it's close to downtown and the cemetery. Highly recommend! read more

This was the worst stay that I have experienced in quite a long time. Amenities weren't available (pool closed), carpets in public areas and in the rooms were stained and electronics did not work (TV in the room and vending machines on the floor). I was told that TV repairs could not be done until the day after my stay. I was also told on the phone by the front desk that "you are only there one more night anyway". No compensation for any inconvenience, either by the hotel or Choice corporate. Very disappointed and in the future, will probably pick another hotel chain for which I have enjoyed in the past. It really was location and the excellent rating on this hotel that attracted me but unfortunately, it was not good at all and I would not recommend this place to stay. There are others only few miles away that are much better choices. read more

Additionally when I reached out to the front desk manager and general manager to register a complaint the front desk manager was unhelpful and rude (VERY poor customer service skills) and via email the general manager was also unhelpful and provided no resolution except to say that basically it's not a five star hotel so what can you expect. We have just stayed here for three nights and are very impressed. We asked for a quiet room and were given a room overlooking some grass and trees that shielded a small parking lot. The room was large and very comfortable, with a refrigerator and microwave and a small sitting area. And the window opened! I always look for this feature. The beds are firm and nicely made up. The large TV offers a very wide range of channels. There is a make-up mirror in the bathroom that is much appreciated. The complimentary breakfast was basic and quite adequate (if you're looking for more there's a diner just down the hill).The room was carefully freshened/serviced in the morning, and overall this hotel is very well run. read more

They really exceeded my expectations. Large rooms, flat panel TV, and a decent breakfast. There is ample parking and check in was a breeze. I really liked the nightstand that had two outlets and two USB ports right next to the lamp, which is a very nice touch. I was glad I could open my window as well. My only issue is that being tall (6'3) the shower sucks... The shower head is barely chest high and the shower itself has a very low ceiling. Maybe 6'5". So if you are short then it will be fine, but watch out my fellow giants... read more

The water never got past lukewarm despite the fact that we tried for a hot shower several times over several hours. The toilet didn't flush properly unless you held down the handle for several seconds. The provided blanket was ridiculously thin and lightweight. There was no spare blanket available in the room. I tried to call down to the front desk to ask them to send up a second blanket but there was no dial-tone when I picked it up. The next morning the front desk informed me that if I had read the writing that was literally crammed all over the phone I would have seen instructions at the bottom to push a "line" button to get a dial-tone. He said it's a known problem that the cleaning staff accidentally mess up the buttons when disinfecting the phones, but if that's the case then why haven't they been trained to avoid that problem? Most hotels have both semi-transparent and opaque curtains so you can make the room dark and don't need to wake up at the crack of down. The opaque curtains at this hotel are decorative and fake; they don't close! Our king-size bed had weird, small, square pillows instead of regular pillows. The mattress was bad (not "worn out" bad, "low quality" bad). The bananas provided for breakfast were too green too eat, the boiled eggs were overcooked (green yolk, rubbery white), and the decaf coffee was so watery that it wasn't worth drinking. I complained at checkout about the hot water and was told the general manager would be in touch, but it's now two and a half days later and I haven't heard from them. On the bright side, everything was very clean and at least the waffle-maker for breakfast worked properly. read more

The reviews dogging this place are rather unfair. In my experience, this Comfort Inn went the extra mile to surpass the general expectation of a 'chain hotel.' While the rooms were clean and spacious, they included extra amenities like a microwave. While continental breakfasts are the norm, this Comfort Inn provided far more options and variations than most. While staff are usually friendly, a cleaner paid enough attention to realize my hands were full and let me into my room. In short, this particular Comfort Inn and its staff, went above and beyond! The hotel staff was lovely. Check in was quick and easy. They gave me a bottle of water to take to my room which was a nice touch. I had a horrible experience at the Extended Stay a few miles away and was so thankful this hotel had a room for me, and I was able to change hotels last min. & late at night. The hotel was clean, just very out dated, which doesn't bother me too much. They also had a nice size parking lot which was much nicer than the grungy, dark garage parking with a broken elevator that I experienced at the Extended Stay. During my stay, my family used the pool where two guests were being unsafe (jumping, splashing and diving into the pool) and sexually harassed me in Spanish. (Thinking I did not understand them). I made staff aware but they did not notify the police. I shut down and was terrified to stay there. I broke down crying in fear of being there. I'm sure that if you need a bed to sleep in, this place is fine. Do not have a situation or circumstance that requires manager assistance, forget it! I'm a travel nurse working for a nearby hospital. The night before my scheduled reservation, I tested positive for covid. I immediately contacted the hotel to let them know, and was old to forward my results to the managers email address, and they would refund my stay. I sent the results the next day and called to follow up a few days later. I was told the manager was out and to call in 2 days after 3pm. This happened several times for a few weeks before I actually received correspondence from the manager stating that I would need to contact Priceline to get the refund authorized. I immediately called them and they went through the same process with contacting the manager as I did. Eventually, she declined to give he refund. I hen escalated to the Better Business Bureau, and she chose not to respond to that either. I even attempted to reach back out via email thinking she may empathize with my situation and again, she chose not to respond at all. I'm disgusted at this behavior and will not choose them again. read more

Everyone was very helpful, the room was surprisingly large with thoughtful amenities, temperature was always comfortable and most importantly, extremely clean. My husband needed emergency surgery and was transported to Westchester Medical Center. In haste, I put my CC on file for a room my family could stay in while my husband was in the hospital. I was told when we check out we could charge it to my husbands business card. I was never told that after a certain $ amount was accumulated my card would be charged. Bryant was who I spoke with about this, he made incredibly rude comments about me having "a bunch of people" staying in the room who weren't listed. This was completely untrue, I gave the names of any family members staying in the room on the first day we checked in. Then he told me if I didn't have my husband sign a consent form to have his business card charged, I will be charged the full amount that day. I said, so you want me to go back to the hospital and wake up my husband (who was in excruciating pain) to have him sign a consent form? He said yes or you will be charged today. So I drove back to the hospital after not sleeping for over 24 hours, had my husband sign the form and came back. Bryant, you have the charisma and customer service of a garbage disposal and the way you speak to people is disgusting. I know I am the guest at this hotel, but please let me know if there is anything else me or my family could do for you. It's not as though we are already dealing with enough. Thanks! read more

Staff were nice. Hotel lobby was clean. Room was spacious and far larger than I'm used to when staying in New York. Carpet desperately needs a shampooing. Mattress was typical and uncomfortable. Pillows were uncomfortable. The blackout drapes are there only for show... They don't cover the window. I had the parking lot lights illuminating the room all night. Proximity to restaurants, historical sites, and freeway is fantastic. read more

When I made my reservation on the 1800 number, it was redirected to a foreign line that was clearly VOIP with echoes and a bad connection. The operator reserved my room, but based on a price they told me that was 60% of the price of the actual reservation when I arrived. Turned on the shower/bath knob, but once on, the knob would only spin and was not able to regulate temperature or turn the water off. I put my clothes back on, called the front desk, and the maintenance guy changed the part as the inside had rusted away. I cut myself and went down to the main desk to get a band aid, and though the front desk clerk thought he had them, after looking, he decided they ran out. Room was fine, but it was clear that very few rooms were being occupied. An area without many hotels, this was the only real choice to be close to my early meeting, but with lots of little problems, I'll try for an AirBnB next time. read more

I booked a stay here after traveling out of state for medical treatment for my daughter. I picked this hotel because it is supposed to be pet free and smoke free (and my daughter has an compromised immune condition.) We got to the hotel and checked in right inside the main doors. The hotel looked nice enough from first appearance. We went to our room that was on this first level. We noticed the air felt a little hard to breathe for us. It almost feel like there were animals there or smoking before. (The door had a non smoking room sign on it. I thought this was interesting because if the hotel was all smoke free, why the sign?) In under an hour my older daughter and I broke out in rashes from sitting in the room. My younger daughter began to get hives all over. I went to the front desk and said that we were having problems and needed to find somewhere else to stay. The woman at the front desk said it was too late, as I already checked in and she couldn't refund me. At this point, my daughter's face began to swell (and I was wondering if we may end up at the ER). She stood right at the counter with me and showed this woman. She then had to go sit outside in the cold to get fresh air and take allergy meds. I called corporate headquarters and explained. They said each hotel is individually franchised and would need to refund me. So I asked the front desk for the manager and she said she was the manager. I told her that I needed my stay to be refunded. I had two separate bookings. One started the next night and she refused to refund any of them. We didn't even spend one night here. At 11pm, I had to go find another hotel to stay at in the area and charge my credit card additional money for a stay on top of all the medical expenses. I was extremely unhappy with this hotel. I don't know if it had mold, pets before or what, but this hotel was not clean. If you have asthma or any kind of sensitive health condition, do not stay here. read more

I came here for an all day training in one of its conference rooms. Clean, surrounded by restaurants, ok. location. First impression was not good. Came in to the hotel and a woman out of nowhere yells at me for not saying "Good Morning" to her. Then she continued to belittle me for not being polite.
