My friend enjoyed a spa day to celebrate my birthday. First, the hotel is gorgeous. The spa itself was also very nice. We both enjoyed our massages. They give you a robe and slippers and have a relaxation room. It is on the pricey side, but this is expected for the area. I would definitely come back.

Amazing experience and wonderful service! We had a great stay here that began with a glass of champagne at check in, great brunch at L'Escale, and some delicious chocolates at their Be Chocolate store. Sara, the concierge, was incredibly helpful with scheduling a shopping trip at Richard's and we also took a yacht charter on a beautiful day. Look forward to returning.

Not exactly the best experience staying here sadly. When booking we were told that we'd be charged $239 for our room which was the neighborhood deal being that we were traveling from Rhode Island. Our room was 106 which sat on the water view side of the hotel. After checking in my husband saw that they charged our card $417. We immediately went down to the front desk to discuss the matter. We explained that when booking we were told we'd be charged the $239 for the room. The front desk explained that there is a $100 that's held against the room in the event of damages but that there's also additional fees for the occupancy tax which is $35.85 and a $15.00 service charge. This totals $389.85. We were never told what the extra $28 was that were trying to charge us but they did correct the issue. So total for a night stay was $289.00 My husband and I do a lot of traveling. While the hotel lobby was beautiful and kept up with, our room itself showed aging. The room was small and the furniture showed wear and tear. The room was clean which of course is one of the main importance especially during a pandemic. The view of the water was just ok from the balcony. Both of us being professional photographers we were hoping to get a beautiful shot of the sunset but didn't have much to work with. The highway is about a quarter of a mile away from the hotel so when sitting out on the balcony it gets pretty noisy. Luckily that's muffled out when the balcony doors are closed so you will be able to get some sleep. Our refrigerator oddly was locked so we were unable to put our drinks inside of it to keep them cold throughout our stay. We had no access to the min bar also inside the refrigerator. Right outside our room I believe must be the smoking area because we saw multiple people and a staff member from the restaurant taking breaks. We checked out early the next morning. Both my husband and I politely said good morning to the front desk clerk on at the time who didn't greet us back. He simply took our card keys. We made sure that the total was going to in fact be the $289 originally promised and that was taken care of. The clerk didn't ask us how our stay was, no we hope to have you back soon, nothing. Not even have a great day even though we wished him one. Not friendly or personable in the least. Have never felt less welcome at a hotel before especially one that seemed "classy". While the hotel itself may appear classy, much of the staff lacked class. The door man on the other hand was very friendly.

What a beautiful hotel situated right on the Greenwich harbor. My stay began with the offer of a bottle of Voss water. The lobby was breathtaking. The rooms were luxurious every comfort was available. Soft beds super soft pillows, Bluetooth speaker alarm clock. Robe and slippers in the closet. High end snacks and a fully stocked liquor cabinet in room. The bathroom was well stocked with anything you may have forgotten and with a phone call (from bathroom phone) you could get anything not provided. Also rooms have a doorbell, that's a first for me. Upon checking in we received vouchers for morning breakfast which consisted of fresh pastries, yogurt with fresh toppings and a juicer that made the tastiest orange juice I have had from a hotel stay. The continental breakfast on Saturday was also as good, fresh raspberry preserves, bagels and breads with the same pastries and juices. Friday they offered cheese and wine with a piano accompaniment, doesn't get much better than this. In the evening the hotel staff brought water (Voss) and ice service to rooms. And chocolate. Parking was covered right outside the entrance. They offered free transportation in one of two Teslas. The staff was professional and helpful our entire stay. Will return for a non business stay.

Very nice room. Great service. Views from the room and walks along hotel were awesome. They have some very $$ art work hanging throughout that makes you feel like your in a museum. Great night sleep.

The hotel is ok. Would I stay here again, probably not. The room service was decent. The gym was surprisingly good, free water. The coffee in the library is terrible so the next day I ordered coffee to my room - also terrible. The AC in my room was loud, it sounds like a bathroom fan running. The restaurant down stairs can get a little noisy (from inside my room). There is some electrical issue because the lights go from bright to dim bright to dim. The bathroom sink was cracked and the faucets were janky.

In a section of the lobby where coffee is available 24 hrs a day ... guess where I am writing this .....

This is one of my favorite places !! It's immaculate and top notch ! My friend and I try to come every 6 months... The massages are out of this world . They provide a Tesla service to and from town . Try it, you'll love it

Personalized dog tag & treat / truly a fabulous touch! Thank you. It's the little touches that count.

ORIGIN: The Hyatt Regency Greenwich was built in 1986. The…read morearchitectural influence appears to be 1980s post-modern/Robert A.M. Stern. In 2024 it underwent a 40 million dollar renovation. LOCATION: The Hyatt Regency Greenwich is conveniently just off I-95. It is located at the site of the former printing plant for Condé Nast Magazines (1921-1967). CONCEPT: Hyatt Regency Greenwich is a tremendous complex, providing event spaces, meeting rooms, many amenities, a bar/lounge, and 374 hotel rooms. (I've attached one floor's plan to give perspective.) Uncommon amenities include a movie theater showing one of the latest releases and a salt water pool. SERVICE: Service was mixed. My initial encounter was not welcoming, especially given this is a four star rated facility. I arrived in the early afternoon at the entrance. The valet explained that whether I self park or not, there is a fee (average around $30) and I must give valet my keys. The more unwelcoming and surprising thing was I asked if there was a luggage cart, as I recently had surgery. He pointed to where luggage carts are stored and told me to return the cart when finished. Despite seeing me slowly placing bags on the cart, and trouble pushing the cart, no help was offered by him, nor was solicited from a colleague inside the Hyatt Regency. The way he acted led me to assume conventional valet and bellman services were not available at this facility. The next day, at check out around 11 AM, was thankfully a different experience and I was grateful that the assigned valet took the luggage cart and placed the bags in my car without asking. Although I hope to not require assistance next time I visit, I understand from the hotel manager that valets are expected to transfer luggage between car and cart, and that bellman service is available. ROOM EXPERIENCE: GOOD The room was recently renovated and was cleverly and attractively designed, including prints related to Condé Nast magazines as reference to the site's history. Bed and pillows among most comfortable I've experienced anywhere. BAD I was able to hear children screaming from a distant guest room and someone urinating into a toilet above me, so there is a lack of sound proofing at the facility that is usually associated with a lower rated hotel/motel. Your neighboring guest can have an impact on your overall experience. AMENITIES I appreciated the recent addition of a movie theater showing a current release (during my visit The Devil Wears Prada 2 was being viewed.) I could see this destination as an attractive alternative to crowded multiplex theaters. Plus the Townsend Restaurant and Bar is steps away for during- or after-theater sips and nibbles. TIP: Since the building was constructed in the 1980s during a trend of rooms facing atrium, some room windows face the atrium, inviting a voyeur experience (watching activity in bar/restaurant below and likewise restaurant/bar guests watching activity in guest rooms). I've always found this a bit creepy, so if you want an outward facing room be sure to request it.

All different lunch items were ordered by my family. Before they brought the Lobster bisque they gave us hot plates and told us not to touch the plates. A server came out with a pot and poured the lobster bisque into the hot plates.. Wow. It was not only delicious but extremely hot the entire time while having the soup. My Caesar salad was topped with a biscuit rather than croutons and an abundance of chicken. I really enjoyed it as did my family enjoying their meals. The cappuccino was over the top. Both as I am the only person outside on the grounds at 10am, and because the parking lot does not seem full. The gentleman at the desk was not only unhelfpul and unaccommodating, he gave me the nondescript number to the manager knowing (a) it was not a specific number and (b) she was not in. He told me I could wait a few hours to talk to one of the owners... and then try and convince him to allow me to shower before seeing the baby at 1pm. When my boyfriend and I arrived, there was only one group being helped by the front desk staff. I went to the restroom and came back and they were still not done. And then we waited for a while longer. How hard is it to check one person in? Well, I found out firsthand. The system somehow didn't capture my Marriott Bonvoy account. Front desk staff struggled to tab through their archaic-looking system to enter basic information. Later on when my friend arrived, they dealt with similar delays and were stuck in the lobby for quite some time. Staff did NOT accommodate the request for our wedding party to all be on the same floor. Also the staff member she spoke with did not know if they could get her a high chair to do make up, and needed to ASK THEIR MANAGER, who wasn't on site. Jeez. How hard is it to get a chair? On a more positive note, the room itself was clean. The bed could have been more comfortable. I had difficulty sleeping. If you look at the picture, the tv was oddly placed next to the tv and not in front of the tv. Strange. They had a blow dryer, a fridge, and dispensers for shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. In my friend's suite, they also had a microwave. Based on this experience, Marriott is ranking below Hilton and Hyatt for me. I know Courtyard is their no frills brand, but I've had better experiences at their competitor's no frills brands.
