This hotel is conveniently located on Rt.940. With a Walmart, Taco Bell, McDonalds,Lowes, CVS and Weiss within a 2 minute drive. This economy style hotel is able to accommodate small and large parties alike. Many people their children and the grandparents, which I assume makes the hotel a good choice for families. There is free parking on the property. However, it is attached to an abandoned building so I would suggest being vigilant when going out to your car at night. Breakfast is served every morning from 6am-9am by a very friendly and organized staff member. They have the classic waffle maker, individually wrapped bakery items, fruit, one meat, eggs, and hot/cold cereal available every day. Coffee is available via a machine or you can make it in your room. Although, the front desk was limited in the service they could provide they were friendly and welcoming. I would recommend this hotel for families planning to have a brief stay in Mount Pocono.

watch out for bed bugs !! wish i can give this place zero stars! my family and i booked rooms 202 and 206 and both rooms had bed bugs !! dead and alive bed bugs !! i have several pictures and vidoes showing the infestation of these two rooms !! spent money on nothing and ended up driving 2 hours back home they will DENY it so i suggest people research this place before YOU book and you will see all the complaints !!!

Stay away. Bedbug infestation and dismissive management. Stayed at the Comfort Inn & Suites located at 3189 Route 940, Mount Pocono, PA, 18344 several times before, never had any issues until this weekend. Room 209 looked clean when we checked in to our double bed room. Spent the whole day out and came back to sleep. The next morning my little sister woke up with an eye swollen shut and she was covered in dozens of bites, all along her arms, legs, back, chest and face. Pics below. It wasn't busy -- no other guests in the lobby and less than five cars in the parking lot, but the manager took over fifteen minutes to come speak with us about this issue. Despite showing her images of the bites all over my sister, the manager insisted that there was just no telling what REALLY caused the bites without a visit to ER and was deeply reluctant to shift us to another room. "The same thing or worse could happen in another room." Yeah, like staying in one that was obviously infested was a sound solution! She just kept repeating that moving rooms might not solve the issue and that the best thing to do would be to have the housekeeping staff freshen up. If that had worked, we wouldn't be in this mess! Eventually, the manager asked to inspect the room and we insisted on being moved again and she relented and arranged for us to move to another room, 112. There was no apology of any kind -- no sorry, no coupon or credit, no offer to clean our bags/clothing, nothing. We had to pay THEM and haul all our clothes into the guest laundry dryer and blast it at high heat to hopefully kill any of the bedbugs stowing away in our belongings. Going by the other reviews, this is not an isolated incident. Spend your time and money elsewhere.

One piece of watermelon left. This was at 6:30am.

This place is one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at. Housekeeping service not provided. Breakfast: Eggs and Sausages were gone by the time I got there at 6:30 a.m. Everything else .... nothing much else. A/C System was broken: Fan speed could not be adjusted. / Cool air not coming out. / Air Deflector broken. / Very noisy. The desk was positioned next to the A/C system, so that air was blowing directly on person sitting at the desk. Instead of a desk chair, a nook chair was used. Only two electrical outlet available at the desk - one used for the desk lamp, and the other for the refrigerator. Therefore, there were no power source for a laptop or any other device at the desk. The mini-frig was not leveled - It rocked every time it was opened and closed. Shallow closed: Hangers had to be hanged at an angle. Staff attitude - acted like they didn't want to be there. Shower-head needed cleaning to allow smooth water-flow. One lamp non-operational.

    Basically didn't work.

Stayed here while attending an event at the Kalahari, as the rooms there were expensive even at the convention rate. Though our event was just outside the summer season, the rooms here were still expensive at almost $200 per night. Comfort Inn has plenty of parking, but the entrance is on a divided highway, so to enter you might have to turn around. Check in with having a reservation was easy even though the hotel was full and they have an elevator to access all three floors. Rooms are small and relatively lean, except for the large mini refrigerator. Hotel rooms had some wear and tear as expected, but we also had issues with the TV having deadlines and the large wall mounted heating/cooling unit barely working. The beds were also quite uncomfortable. Hotel had a complimentary breakfast that was ok and included all the usual items including eggs, pancakes, potatoes, sausage, coffee, juice, etc. Overall, this place is ok for a short stay, especially off season when the rooms are much cheaper. During the summer season? Only if it was an emergency due to the higher costs.

Staff was great, very attentive. This hotel is ran down the rooms are not worth the $275 I paid. I upgraded to a suite for $17 extra and it didn't have any of the amenities. The tv was missing, tape all over the walls, the toilet stopped working on the second day. By the third morning my husband was told you cannot shower and use the toilet at the same time! The AC smelled. The bed sat on wood 4x4's. There were unexplainable stains all over the couch. Which was an extra amenity we couldn't sit on. The shower had hot water but the shower head needed help, the blow dryer looked like it hadn't been touched in awhile with all the dust. Wish I had time to research a better place to stay, I would've left and went somewhere else.

I had an event there today for my sons birthday. I had family drive up 2 hrs and book rooms to participate in the joyous occasion. We arrived and I checked in to room 201 dropped of bags and began to enjoy family and friends in the pool area as well as the common area of the hotel. Everything we did I made sure to ask permission from hotel management ie sitting in common area, singing happy birthday and cutting the birthday cake. We stayed in the pool until closed. Management came in and let us know it was closing so we cleaned up and piled the wet towels together to make it easier for the cleaning staff. At this point we all go to the rooms that we paid for. These rooms were not discounted as I was told by Assistant GM Tamisha that she can only make changes if we booked 10 or more rooms. While in the room we get a call from my cousin who says don't get comfortable his room has bedbugs. Right after another booked room also has bedbugs. I go and undress my bed and there they were. Not only that but there was trash behind the headboard. Now I had to pack up and abruptly end my sons slumber party. I had to tell parents that dropped off their children that plans changed due to the room issues. When I go downstairs to address my concern I'm told that I would have to speak to corporate. That there is nothing that could be done for me because I had an event and enjoyed myself. I was offered by the manager to have housekeeping vacuum the bugs. I was also told that checking for bugs while visiting a hotel was unheard of. I chose this hotel because I was shown the room prior to booking. I was given a tour of the property by the Assistant GM Tamisha. I'm sure when someone is looking for a venue it's a ideal to tour the facility. Please keep in mind the tour did not include undressing the beds nor checking behind headboards. This evening I find that with series of events management dropped the ball. Management was accusatory, dismissive and definitely not accommodating. I'm very unhappy with the way the night ended for my son. There was not one apology, not one offer to make it right. Video and pictures are available and management accused myself and my family of lying and trying to get a refund. Corporate will hear from me and hopefully they will send the current management team for customer service and critical thinking training.

My right eye was extremely swollen from the bug bites and still had to wait over 20min for the manager to come see me

Booking online was easy, and check-in was simple--we just stopped by Frogtown Chophouse to pick up our keys and finished the paperwork the next morning. Our cottage was clean, in good repair, and surprisingly quiet given that the restaurant is on the property. The space is set up well for a couple or small family: a bedroom with a queen bed, a living room with a queen sleeper sofa, a small kitchenette (fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee maker), and even a propane fireplace that was perfect for chilly September evenings. While the fixtures and linens were a little dated, everything was tidy and comfortable, and the unit could easily sleep four. The only real downside was the low water pressure in the shower--not ideal, but not a deal-breaker either. At just over $500 for two nights, we felt it was a fair investment for the experience. The on-site restaurant, Frogtown Chophouse, is highly rated, and we enjoyed stopping in for cocktails one evening. The bartender gave us excellent local recommendations that added to our trip. All in all, Woodfield Manor offered exactly what we were looking for: a quiet, comfortable, and relaxing home base in the Poconos.

We arrived Friday afternoon (October 11 2024) and stayed for three nights. This place is a little slice of heaven tucked away in the Pocono Mountains. When we arrived to check in, Chuck was there to greet us. He is a wonderful, welcoming gentleman. He gave us literature about things to do and happily answered our questions. Our room with its queen sized bed and adjoining sitting area was clean and comfy. We appreciated the small refrigerator and microwave to store and warm up our late night snacks. One tv in each room made it easy for one of us to nap and the other to "veg" out, if we wanted to! It's true the front desk is not manned twenty four hours, but you are given a number to contact in case of an emergency. And the guests are asked to observe quiet time between 10pm and 8am. This worked for us. I didn't miss the hundred room hotel with potential all night parties next door. After a day full of fun Fall festivities...quiet, peaceful and cozy is just what we needed. We are certain to visit again, perhaps in the spring or summer season. But definitely, most definitely again with the changing of the leaves.

If you're looking for a place where you can unwind, hang out in the pool, and just enjoy a peaceful atmosphere, this is definitely a great spot, especially if you prefer a more modern, upscale feel rather than the traditional Poconos resorts. My only complaint was the food. They do have a restaurant on-site, but the food was just average in my opinion. Nothing terrible, but nothing that really stood out either. That being said, the overall look, atmosphere, and experience of the property definitely outweigh the food, and you can always head somewhere nearby for a better meal. Arrival was a bit rough as the valet lanes were completely blocked by large buses. Instead of being helpful or explaining anything, the valet was rude and told us we couldn't leave our car parked in the entry/departure lane. We were simply looking for a place to allow the bellhop to offload our vehicle but no one explained where we were meant to go. Note that the valet is complimentary which is nice. Free self park is also available on the casino lot. Luckily the check in was smooth and the folks at the desk were pleasant. On room entry, we found the room to be clean and spacious. The bathroom was especially nice given its generous size and ample stock of toiletries. The beds were comfortable as well. Drawbacks in the room include lack of mini fridge and microwave. They will provide one on request, but charge $25/day. A bit steep. The room was also frigid. When we arrived, the AC was set to 63 degrees. We of course turned it up but after each housekeeper cleaned, the thermostat was set back to sub zero temps! Final drawback was that the room did have faint odors of cigarettes despite being a non smoking room. It became less noticeable the longer we were in the room but never quite dissipated. Our favorite thing about the hotel itself was the lovely golf course view from our room and the onsite hiking trail. The trail is really lovely and well kept. It runs alongside a stream and is set back from the road nestled in the loveliest trees. So beautiful this time of year with the changing foliage. I wouldn't be opposed to future stays but would likely explore some other options in the Poconos first. The onsite restaurants were letdowns in our opinion but we did enjoy some offsite eateries nearby. I would call this an above average experience. Probably best for those folk who want to enjoy the casino!

This was by far the laziest housekeeping people we've ever encountered in our lives -- instead of taking the requested dirty towels away and replacing them, they left everything on the ground and just dumped a pile of towels on the sink. Additionally, they barely made the beds -- the sofa bed was ignored while the main mattress' sheets were all touching the ground. Only the kids bunks got remade properly. We passed other rooms and it looked like they actually made the beds, so we probably got assigned the world's laziest person. Food: buffet food is meh. Restaurant food a step up. Stick with dunkin' for breakfast. Ice cream not bad, soft serve is large portions. Mirror maze was basically all broken. Only 2 things really worked when we went in, by the next day only one worked. Pay dirt (mining gemstones/fossils) was a high value activity for my kids - extra worth when you have the 25% discount. Water park is tiny and cold (there's a few small hot tubs), but has a lazy river; slushies standard ICEE brand, mini golf is sad (only like 7 holes maybe). Kids had a ton of fun at the candlestick bowling -- there's a bunch of game modes to try. Only worth if you get the unlimited. Magiquest was 4-6 hours of running around fun and defeating monsters. Wands and attachments are all upcharges from standard. Mostly can only access up and down with elevators so when one is out of order it takes forever. My family and I checked in on Friday and were scheduled to stay through Monday. We arrived in time for the advertised 4:00 PM check-in, only to find the resort completely overwhelmed. After waiting approximately an hour and a half, our room was not ready until nearly 6:00 PM. On Saturday, we spent the day at the indoor waterpark and rented Cabana 1. The highlight of our trip was our waiter, Andre, who provided exceptional service and was friendly, attentive, and professional throughout the day. Unfortunately, the rest of the weekend took a turn for the worse. Later that afternoon, my daughter began feeling unwell and developed a fever. I went to the resort gift shop looking for children's Tylenol or ibuprofen, only to discover they carried neither. For a family-focused resort catering primarily to children, I found it surprising and concerning that basic over-the-counter children's fever medication was not available for purchase. When I asked for assistance, I was handed a first-aid packet containing aspirin, which is not something I would ever give to a child. Because my daughter's fever continued to rise, we made the difficult decision to cut our vacation short and return home that evening. Before leaving, we arranged for bell services to assist with our luggage from Room 529. I personally packed all of our belongings and helped Evan, our bell boy, load everything onto the luggage cart. Once home, while unpacking after tending to my daughter, I realized a mesh bag containing several items was missing, including my husband's Burberry swim trunks, my daughter's RuffleButts swimsuit, and her water shoes. The following day, I contacted the front desk, Lost & Found, and asked to speak to Evan at the bell services department. My information was taken, and I was told someone would call me back. No one ever did. I followed up again several days later and received the same response. No manager was available, no Evan, no answers were provided, and none of our belongings were ever recovered. While losing personal items is frustrating enough, what was most disappointing was the complete lack of follow-up, accountability, or customer service. Not one person contacted me as promised. Not one manager reached out to address the situation. Between the delayed check-in, lack of basic children's medication availability, and the disappearance of our belongings followed by zero communication from management, this was not the family vacation experience we expected. I can overlook mistakes. I cannot overlook poor customer service and a complete failure to address a guest's concerns. Sadly, after this experience, I would not return to Camelback Resort.
