While dated, it shows that this property is being well maintained. We had an entire living room, fire place, outdoor balcony overlooking the lake and the beautiful heart shaped jacuzzi. I could tell they took their time to clean and thought about the layout, ambiance and activities to do within the property - there was a lot of outdoor activities such as archery, tennis, pickleball and kayaking when the weather warms up. I normally feel icky anywhere outside of my house but oddly enough, I felt very at home and comfortable here. What a romantic and cute spot.

There was a delay in my check-in and when I took a shower the water hadn't warmed up yet and I was forced to take a cold shower. The gift shop ended up staying closed even after the power was restored, so I didn't get to visit it. I didn't go around looking for flaws in the room. It was beautiful and spacious. Either the sauna wasn't working or maybe we couldn't figure it out, so we skipped that feature. We enjoyed listening to light music and popping a bottle of champagne in our heart shaped pool the night of check-in, then popped another in the champagne tub the next morning. There's also a couch, tv, and fireplace. The bed room had simulated star lights on the ceiling. It was easy to lose track of time; when I woke up in the morning I thought it was still dark out until I discovered it was 8 am. We took a nice nature trail walk early. We spent time at the outdoor pool, and sipped some drinks from Tan Lines outdoor bar. The margarita was weak so we got a blue Long Island bucket. Trey was our party game host. He has a great sense of humor and is naturally humorous. He was very entertaining. The pool is open 24hrs, we forgot to check out the evening vibe, we even forgot to check out the night club. We went into spooners, maybe we got there too late because there were no appetizers, just cheese and crackers and onion ring crumbs. We enjoyed a free game of pool over some cocktails from the bar. We also got to try their hot tub next door, which felt more like a warm tub, it was a bit stuffy in there for me, so we didn't stay long. The dinner and breakfast is buffet style. The food was tasty. The lamb was super tender. The chicken piccata was flavorful. And the chicken park was good too. We recommend going to breakfast early, we went late in between refills. All the servers we encountered were attentive and friendly. This also goes for the couples we interacted with through out the campus. This place has an overall great vibe and I'll definitely give them another try to earn my 5 stars.

It turned out to be the perfect place for a little escape and quality time together. The hotel is posh, classy, and inviting, and you can tell there's a lot of thought and attention to detail throughout the entire property. The staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The 90-degree pool was definitely a treat! And a special shoutout to my DY (wink) girl Natalie, who worked the pool area and made sure the drinks were flowing! She was so personable, friendly, and attentive and definitely added to the fun of our time in that area. We also had the chance to experience both lunch and dinner at the on-site restaurant, which was a nice bonus. We loved being able to enjoy ourselves without having to leave the property. We're also so glad we upgraded our stay to include access to the concierge lounge. A special thank you and shoutout to Darius for recommending the upgrade--it was absolutely worth it! The lounge was lovely, classy, sophisticated, and comfortable. With unlimited access, we enjoyed complimentary beverages (including beer and wine), snacks, light breakfast, midday bites, and evening finger foods. It was such a nice perk and added an extra special touch to our anniversary getaway. And it's the little things that caught my attention. I mean, even the hang tag for your room door feels like quality! That pretty much sums up the attention to detail throughout this hotel. I could go on and on about all the little intricacies and thoughtful touches that made our anniversary getaway special, but then this review would turn into a novel. So I'll just say this: we're so glad we chose this hotel, and you'll just have to go experience it for yourself!

We had upgraded our room to the concierge floor as my other friend had reserved one. Our room was super clean, modern, and cutely decorated to go with the outdoor-ish theme of the hotel. Our view was the back wooded area and we were able to see deer plenty of times during the stay. The room was spacious, beds were very comfy, bathroom was nice and loved having a Dyson hair dryer available for use after showering. They also had really cozy bathrobes for lounging around in. I loved that there was Apple TV and was able to log in to watch from our subscribed streaming services and also view cable channels. We had access to the concierge room and were able to grab drinks and snacks at any time. They had a variety of chips, cookies, candy, snack bars, cereal, fruit, water, soda, juice, wine, and beers. The house made granola was AMAZING! I would literally go to just get a bowl of it. They had a pool with plenty of lounger chairs. It was a nice and quiet and I was able to relax and read my book poolside. They also served food and drinks at the pool. I had a delicious espresso martini. They also had evening swim hours for adults which was nice. Overall I had a wonderful experience and cannot wait to go back again. Concierge room is definitely worth it especially since I love a late night snack! All the employees were so kind and greeted everyone with a smile. Shoutout to our housekeeper Karon-- she was the sweetest and so helpful! Plenty of parking and there is also a nice Japanese restaurant nearby.

The bathroom lights flickered and kept going out. And the shower head leaked, and the other shower head did not work. The fans don't work in the bathrooms. One of the towels we went to use for body to dry off after the shower had brown stains on it, don't even want to know or think of what it was because it was close to being used on my face. Found a hotel maid/cleaner, and had her give me another towel. But like seriously, these are things that should all be double checked before renting a room out to someone. We got charged 335 for a Sunday into Monday, and honestly we should have been discounted or given a voucher for another night or something. Because that's just crazy.

(Yeah, somebody should probably make a separate Yelp listing for the golf course versus roping it…read morein with the rest of the place but, whatever) Ok, it's been a few weeks since playing here and the details are quite fuzzy, but here's a few points: First, every course should have something like the below on their website. It's a must read before playing here. Every hole fully broken down by yardage/tee box locations/hazards/distances to the green from hazards & landing areas, etc. You're flying blind & insane to not look at it before playing. mountairycasino.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/Golf_Course_Tour_R1.pdf The best way I can describe this course would be to say that every hole has something going on and you, IMHO, cannot DeChambeau it here by just gripping/ripping and seeing what'll happen next. Let me help in advance that what'll happen next is usually going to involve something with your ball being lost in sand/water/trees and a high ass score. Yes, every hole has some combination of extra narrow fairway, lined with trees, water, multiple traps, water & traps, healthy elevation up or down, blind dog leg, etc. Even the "easy" ones, have a twist that's not in your favor. I'm not saying this place is impossible, but it does require thought/strategy and if you have it (I know I don't) some ability to be a measured shot maker. Unlike your garden-variety municipal course where the holes just go back and forth and a hook or a slice turns into simply playing out of the next fairway, here, if you're not straight or in the fairway consistently, usually you're screwed. The three signature holes to me would be #17, #13 and #14. #17 is a short par 3 where you hit from an exaggeratedly high tee location and the entire main resort/casino building is below/in front of you. #13 is a par 5 that's about 480 but you got trees to the right and left off the tee and around 250 yards out there is a large patch of waste land and then water you need to either lay up in front of or try to bomb it over to get to the other half of the fairway. #14 is my favorite because you tee it up right next to their sewage treatment plant. Nothing says ambiance better than a big fat nose full of summer steamer when you're waiting for people in front of you. Pace of play was so-so. They have signage and all sorts of crap out there about it, but no one is enforcing anything. We played on an early weekday afternoon and had no one in front of us until #13. Two hours to play 1-12 and two more hours to play 13-18. That's BS. The only real negative is that they push their middle of the round food/drink stop a bit too timeshare hard. Each of the three staff members we encountered "reminded" us about it and they have a large sign after #8 re-reminding you that you can call your order in to pick it up after #9. If you're so inclined: mountairycasino.com/golf/club-house/ In the end, I don't remember what we paid but it was some cheaper Golfnow rate in the low $40's that all things considered, is hard to argue with. I enjoyed it playing here but for whatever reason, it wasn't my favorite and I probably won't be in a hurry to come back. (3.5 rounding up)

The owners Mark and Carol were more than accommodating, and they made us feel very welcome during our weekend getaway. The room was spotless and super cozy. We honestly got the best sleep ever as the beds were super comfortable. The included satellite TV service was a nice touch, as we were able to watch some good shows while unwinding from our day. The included breakfast was absolutely fantastic. Everything was super fresh and it screamed top quality ingredients. I had gotten the special with truffle and asparagus with home fries and it was VERY good. My lady had scrambled eggs with sausage patties, blueberry pancakes, home fries toast and she loved it as well. That same night we had dinner in the restaurant named Butter, and it was such a treat. The menu is extensive enough to have a variety of options without being overbearing. Dinner was just as amazing as breakfast, and EVERYTHING we had was top tier. We got a Tokyo Mule, the Sidecar, The Margarita Flatbread, the Lobster Campanelle, the Horseradish Crusted Salmon, a Nutty Irish dessert cocktail and an Espresso Martini alongside a dessert (I can't remember which one we shared). We devoured absolutely everything we had. Portions were generous and the flavors were out of this world. Customer service on the restaurant side was also very good. Do note that dinner isn't included in your stay, but I HIGHLY recommend trying the restaurant. Aside from all of the above, I can't overstate how good the customer service was here. Mark and Carol really made this place feel like a second home. The decor also gives that feeling, and it all culminates to being one of the best places I've ever stayed. Don't hesitate. Highly recommended!
