The internet service is horrible. After traveling from Florida, my boys were wanting to settle in and get screen time they earned. The internet is a public one and you have to sign the agreement to have access. We did that and it still would connect. After getting frustrated, I called before going down to the front desk and asked Remy to assist by restarting the router. We were able to connect without having to do so and as soon as I got to our room (#206), it disconnected. After trying a few more times to reconnect, I called back down to the front desk. This time it was Tammy or Tracy. Can't quite recall her name but it started with a "T". She was AMAZING! She showed me a paper with instructions of what they need to have us do to our devices if they aren't connecting. It worked downstairs and when we got back upstairs they all didn't work. She moved our room to a different one on the same floor which worked better. During the move from the other room, we accidentally left behind my three year-old's favorite blanket. When housekeeping went to clean that room, they had accidentally wrapped up his blanket inside of the blankets on the bed. I called back down to the front desk and asked if there was anyway we could access the room again to look for it. It wasn't there and she said she'd look in the housekeeping room. She called us with great news! She was the most helpful to us during our stay. She is the reason for the 2 stars because had it not been for her, I would have given a lower rating. We've stayed here a couple of times over years traveling from Florida and this by far has been the worst experience. We won't be booking here again in the future. read more

Well, it started out ok...the front desk guy was ok and we got to our suite which was ok at first. My wife and three kids settled in to the suite and I went to pick up dinner. Ps...Peck's Seafood is really good. So, we ate and then my daughter said "Mom...there's a really big bug!!!" My wife located and killed the "bug." Turns out it was a giant cockroach. I took the carcass to the front desk and the front desk guy called his boss...who told him to offer to come and bug spray the room...with my family in the room. He did not seem at all surprised by the giant cockroach or especially concerned about it. I always give a place the chance to make something like this right before posting a review...they had no interest. read more

I would give it 3.5 stars. Setting gym hours for maintenance is great but not if it's not being done. Also , it needs updated gym equipment and wrapping the handles that way could eventually hurt someone. Breakfast area was clean and served with warm food. Rooms are spotless but could use an air freshener. The hotel is right behind a chick-fil-a and a-lot of other places. It's a great spot. The entrance was kept tidy and front desk was helpful.I would give this place 5 stars if they would just invest back into the hotel the same way we do by booking a stay. read more

This place is a pit. They remade a dirty bed and gave me the room. The floor is filthy. There are roaches . I'm so disgusted I don't even know what to write. The front desk was zero help. Called 3 times.....still have not received sheets to put on this freaking bed. Not to mention that some room near me sounds like it's bowling accompanied by loud yelling. I'm freaking exhausted. Whoever is running this trash heap needs to be fired. read more

I stayed at this hotel in August and communicated to them about my service dog. They asked me what my service dog was for and I answered their questions. They didn't give me any paperwork for this or have me sign anything. They charged me $250 for bringing a pet in and saying they have no documentation of this. I have attempted to communicate with Tiffany the manager multiple times to get this resolved. I have taken my service animal with me multiple places and I never forget to communicate that he's with me. They will not correct the fee they incorrectly and illegally charged me. The ADA and Louisiana law both prohibit public accommodations from charging a special admission fee or requiring you to pay any other extra cost to have your service animal with you. read more

Lots of fast food in the area, including a Chik Fil A just 50 yards from the front door, makes this a decent stop if you find yourself in Slidell. Solid sleep thanks to quiet hallways. Efficient staff. read more

Excellent experience, actually staying here 1 week each month. Clean well kept and front desk employees are great.

First room was stained carpets and not moped. We went into the bathroom and a large cockroach was on the floor. We went and talked to the front desk and they gave us another room which was clean (still stained carpets) but had a terrible musty smell. We just decided to tough it out but made me feel sick by the middle of the night. Would not recommend this place at all!!! The Lobby had stained furniture and carpeting. Bad look for place to stay!! No discount on room which was way too much for the condition of this Inn. I wouldn't even give this a 1 star read more

I really don't know how to rate this place, I am soo confused about this experience. I decided to give it a 1 star because I was awakened by a roach crawling on my body and for me that was TERRIFYING! Staff were friendly and place appeared to be clean. No foul odor, the room looked nice but again a roach crawled on my body! Night Shift desk clerk didn't act like I was over reacting when I went down distraught after my experience. I stayed for two days and I got a refund for one day and I'm OK with that. I won't stay here again. read more

Needing only a place to rest our heads at night, we found the beds to be exotically comfortable, the air conditioning a needed comfort, the rooms/beds looked bug-free, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Good spot for a quick stay. This hotel was recently built so everything is nice and new. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and they include a mini fridge and microwave. The facilities are also nice and clean: fitness center, pool, restrooms, and breakfast area. I'm an oatmeal girl, and they had a great array of topping for the oatmeal in the morning. Plenty of parking. Very friendly staff. Docked a star because of the awkward to use thermostat (the heat won't go very high and it was unusually cold night in Slidell). read more

DO NOT STAY HERE. The workers are incompetent, the actual hotel is fair but the lack of empathy and resolution skills are rather disappointing. We drove 9 hours to make it to Slidell/New Orleans to be treated like animals. We called the hotel regarding an early check in around 12:00 (Knowing the reservation isn't guaranteed until 3) the front desk associate advised she'd call us back in a hour to let us know and never did. We checked in around 5:00pm & started getting dressed for our festival. 1. We noticed the toilet wasn't draining properly but we continued to get ready. 2. Then we found a ROACH crawling in our bedroom (thinking this would be a one-time occurrence) we killed him and left out for the evening. 3. Made it back to the hotel & found ANOTHER ROACH CRAWLING IN OUR BATHROOM TOWEL. We immediately called night audit at 3AM and she came up and sprayed the bathroom and disposed of the ROACH. 4. We pulled out the day bed to sleep on and noticed sticky stain running down the side of the couch and when pulling the day bed out we noticed trash inside of the couch underneath the pullout. 5. Tried to turn on the T.V to continue our girl's night and it does not work? We played with the system and realized it was just the remote. Night audit brings us batteries around 4AM and they remote still does not work. She offered to search the hotel for another spare remote but it might take some time since she was the only one covering the desk. We told her not to worry about it but insisted that she switch our room. She told us that the hotel was booked and she COULD NOT MOVE US. 6. Wake up the next morning and the toilet is clogged completely. Three women trying to use the restroom and get ready to check out with a clogged toilet isn't sufficient. We asked for an hour extension so that we could use the general lobby restroom and the front desk associate couldn't even approve that ''without management'' she did however give us 30 minutes. 7. Completely frustrated and upset we asked to speak with the FD manager, we she didn't come in until an hour later so we waited for her, she was almost an hour late to her shift to offer us 20% off of our stay. We asked for the general manager and she advised us the GM wouldn't give us anything more than she's offered. WE ARE STILL GOING BACK AND FORTH WITH CORPORATE FOR THIS HORRIBLE STAY. Very nice smaller hotel. They have a very nice free breakfast every morning for guests with sausage, waffles, fruit, cereal, eggs, juice, coffee, etc....no cheap continental breakfast here! Friday Dec. 20, 2019 we checked and were given 2nd floor room. Were not told a party was going on right beneath our room. When I called front desk at 9:30 was told Party was over at 10. Lie, kept going. Called again at 11 was told some quest arrived late and party was extended till midnight, image a party with loud music and people yelling and screaming in a hotel. Pathetic and totally unexceptable. I gave it a rating of one only because I couldn't give a zero. Staff are not accommodating. If they new there was a party why put someone right above it. I will never stay here again and would recommend anyone either. Room was so so, not enough towels. Over valued for the money, pick a better place. read more

The hotel is clean but the rooms smell a bit stale or like mildew. We thought it was one particular room but we got moved to a different room and it smelled the same way. We were happy to find out the wifi was free, until we found out it didn't work. We didn't really see any staff other than at check in. She was courteous but we didn't see the outstanding customer service some other people were talking about. It wasn't a "bad" stay but I think we'll try somewhere else next time. read more

We were very pleased with our stay at this hotel. The bedroom was very nice since it was a suite with two beds as well as a couch and desk. It had all the amenities and the coffee and breakfast we're very good. The shower had good pressure and good hot water. The staff was very friendly. We would stay here again and would recommend it to anyone. The only negative comment I have is the bathtub was slippery but that doesn't change our five star rating. read more

This hotel just opened in August 2015, so everything is beautiful and new and clean. Service was also fine and complimentary breakfast was very good with real dinnerware. Location is a convenient 30 minutes from the Norland's business District. read more

Avoid this hotel. First of all, checkin process was really slow. When we arrived in the room and before we settled in, there was a huge, fast moving bug on the curtain. It was the size of my index finger. Luckily, I could kill it with a shoe. My wife was really freaked out after that point and didn't want to stay in that room. When I went to the front desk and asked to be moved to another room, the front desk person just said, "we're full." So, i suggested that we could go to another room and a hotel staff member could clean up that bug before another guest checks in, that same staff member just said, "that's not possible, we're full." We're had no choice but to stay in that room. Later, I saw a few other guests checking in. I am also giving a bad review because the tub was dirty (hair was found before using it), and there refrigerator was not cold enough to keep food (we needed to add ice to the fridge!). This place is certainly not worth the Radisson name. read more
