Went there and the elevated was broken had to take step in a narrow staircase up to the second floor with baggage. Thought I was going swimming . Booked because I wanted to swim and it was raining and they offer an indoor swimming pool. Well guess what... it's open but it's not heated! Water was freezing. The room was decently cleaned but it definitely needs some upgrades. There was sticky tape still stuck to the ceiling I assume from people doing those balloon decorations from special occasions. There was also a gutter hanging down to the right of my window. And lastly but the most aggravating thing was the awkwardness of the bathroom with the tub/shower situated behind the bathroom door and the tiny shower head. Also the water was only warm not hot. The Ac was on some type of uncontrolled thermostat and it kept going on and off so I would comfortable then get hot. Place definitely needs work. The lobby chair were also in need of some deep upholstery cleaning. They do offer breakfast though. read more

This was the best complimentary breakfast I ever had in my years of travels. The biscuits were buttery and crisp on the outside, soft on the inside. The gravy, as soon as I looked at it, I knew it had to be homemade (it wasn't spicy either!). They offered TURKEY sausage for those who can't eat pork, which is a plus because you need to cater to people with food allergies. The roasted potatoes were on point with bite size onions and peppers. We actually spoke to Lily who cooks this stuff and she was such a joy to speak with. The traditional southern hospitality...just loved her personality and warm welcome. She mentioned that the menu changes, so they offer a variety of southern home cooking to their customers. Upon arrival I was met by Jada (front manager), and she kindly explained that my reservation was not there, so she called the other hotel and gave us directions. Once we arrived at the right hotel, we walked in and immediately walked out, it was nasty, smelled and the staff allowed us to go back to the Holiday Inn. Jada took care of us and gave us a great room and reception. I can't thank her enough for taking good care of us. She is the best!!!!! read more

Very nice little hotel. Clean, quiet and the staff is very friendly and helpful when asked about the area and where to go for daiquiri and karaoke. The pool area was clean had tables with umbrellas and fresh clean towels to dry off. There is little snack area on the main floor, would have been nice if they had adult beverages, but it was well stocked. Would definitely recommend and would be happy to stay here again. read more

Kick plate on door looks like it was kicked off, door latch def torn off. No towels. Called for towels me desk clerk seemed unconcerned about the door. Used the ironing board to block the door. Shower had serious black mold, in all cracks and between tiles. Luggage cart was filthy. Had to use a towel to protect my luggage. Have photos and video. Recommend AGAINST. Guest relations no help. This is a good place to stay but I would like to make a suggestion. We were traveling with a disabled vet who walks with a cane. There were only 4 handicapped parking spaces and two of the vehicles parked there did not display a handicap placard or plate. I would suggest policing that a little better. The single king suite was very large and clean. Bed was super comfortable as were the pillows. Clean bathroom too. Plenty of hot water. Great room! But there's more! The breakfast was terrific! I'm a gold elite member so I've been loyal to holiday inn for a long time for their clean rooms, good air quality, decent facilities and breakfast, and comfortable beds. This particular time though was a bit disappointing. Breakfast was good but they were out of apple juice. Paint looked fresh and pretty but the doors to the hotel didn't open automatically at night and we had to pull them open. Key cards worked two out of the three nights which made us think they automatically disable them Sunday night. They fixed them quickly but without apology or empathy. Room was clean but smelled like wet dog. Toilet worked but you had to hold down the handle extra long. Beds were comfortable but lumpy. Price was okay the night we researched it but went up about 25 percent in two days from browser cookies we think. Overall a pleasant enough stay but not for 200/night which is the most we've ever paid for a holiday inn. read more

First of all, the location is convenient right off of I-12. Secondly, we were greeted at the front desk by just the sweetest young lady, Jada. Thirdly, the room is immaculate! Finally, there are two very comfy chairs in the room. I hate to have to perch on the side of the bed while relaxing and watching tv or reading before going to bed. read more

Nice and new. Room has that new room smell. Clean. Cin rolls for breakfast. Staff is nice. Breakfast hours too short as always. Always ends too early. Would stay here again. Nice size rooms. We had a suite and it was lovely. Edit: had 5 stars then I took a shower and tried to have breakfast. Shower water does not rinse out the soap. Worse: no towels!!!! Asked for towels last night and was given bath mats. Ask for them this am and given hand towels. Told we do not have enough towels for all the rooms so you have to make do. NOT!!! So much for "will stay here again". Let's make that a WILL NOT. Breakfast: family entered at almost 9; which is way too early to end breakfast, with small children. Got them seated so they could go prepare them their breakfast. The woman tending the breakfast bar hurried and shut it down in the time it took to seat the children so she didn't have to wait for that family. How totally rude! Now the parents have to say you saw food but can't have any. Total asshole!!!! If you are this rude; you don't need my business and you won't have it! I will post to Yelp, Trip Advisor and any other site I can think of to warn people of what they are in forbid they stay here! read more

The actual hotel itself and the staff at this location are wonderful. I would recommend booking your reservation online or in person. Do not call the 800 number for reservations. I'll explain below. Holiday Inn has always been in my top three hotel choices because they're typically clean, comfortable and inexpensive. A king size room or a suite with 2 queen beds was about $125 for one night. Not bad. The bed, pillows and linens were all as comfortable as they are at home. They even had the (exceptionally clean) bathroom stocked with tiny versions of the same bath and hair products I use at home, Bath & Body Works. The towels were clean, thick and soft. The room had a mini-fridge, Keurig, and microwave. There was a nice full length mirror with a handy shelf nearby which was convenient for getting dressed and putting on make-up. The chest and desk on each side of the tv were perfect for charging phones and plugging in laptops with plugs and a light. There was even a wardrobe. They had one chair and ottoman in the room, over by the window. No complaints about the room whatsoever. The view was a highway, but that's fine by us because we didn't intend to spend our time there looking out the window anyway. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful from check-in to check-out. Really, they were helpful even before check-in when we called for directions as the maps app was taking us to a truck-stop. (I think I fixed that by editing the map.) We missed the breakfast, but we're told that they put out a full complimentary breakfast with eggs, bacon and all that good stuff. My youngest son is at his dad's in Slidell this year for his senior year of high school because he hated the school here. Trips over there are pretty frequent, but this was our first overnight stay and it was a spur of the moment decision to stay overnight. The one and only drawback, which may prevent me from ever staying at another Holiday Inn again, was the booking. Since staying the night was a last minute decision, we called the 800 number instead of booking online. Booking the hotel room was a breeze and the employee was friendly and efficient. After the room was booked, she insisted on transferring me to another line so I could "find out how to get a free stay at a Holiday Inn," despite my advising her that we were in a tad bit of a hurry. She said it will only take a few minutes and then transferred me to a person giving me a timeshare-type sales pitch. In spite of me telling him we really weren't interested at this time, he kept insisting that I sign up for the package until I finally hung up on him. NO MEANS NO!! I did not appreciate that at all, and if they ever call me trying to sell me on this, I will never stay at another Holiday Inn again. Hopefully, that won't happen because I really like the hotel and would totally stay there again. Here's a slightly interesting and completely irrelevant fact about me - Kemmons Wilson (the founder of Holiday Inn) and I share the same hometown, and the first house I ever built was in a subdivision right down the road from Holiday Crossing. read more

I really had an excellent stay here at holiday inn. Shay at the front desk was really sweet. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon, upon checkin and Shay was very polite and sweet. When we checked in I was pretty irritated from the long drive from Atlanta. Shay stayed very professional and changed my room as soon as possible when there was some issues going on with the bathroom. The free warm cookies in the lobby were a plus too. read more

I am an IHG and this property was quite pleasant. The staff were great. The rooms were exceptionally clean, the it was a very nice stay in a nutshell. One of the things I loved is that there is a Sam's Club, Walmart and other fast food eatery nearby. i WAS VERY PLEASED. They give out complimentary water bottles which was quite pleasant. We stopped here on our way to Disney World after a long day. It is honestly everything you should expect in an Express. We got in after 12am and we were super exhausted. The lady at the front desk was so nice and friendly. We got to the room and got in bed right away. The rooms were very clean and presentable and the AC worked great. I woke up early and grabbed breakfast for kids. The breakfast host was really on top of everything, the food was all stocked and ready to go. I would definitely come back here and recommend it to anyone who is in the area. read more

Stayed there one night and rented the meeting room for my sisters shower. Everything was wonderful, I planned everything from Cali so it was great to be able to call and get answers to my questions. Everyone was so helpful, especially Tony! He is a great employee and deserves to be recognized! My only complaint is that I asked for the blue clothes to be removed from the tables before hand and that weren't and I guess whoever rented the room last they never dumped the water out of the pitcher so it was really gross and mildewy... read more

So far so good. It seems as though the hotel just recently opened. The hotel is pretty updated and extremely clean. We usually make the drive from Tx to FL and found our new pit stop. Highly recommend this hotel. It's also close to a Walmart and a handful of places to eat. Quick update - left early at 3am back home to Texas. It's great leaving this early so the kids sleep throughout the trip. Came down to the lobby withy suitcase and at 3am was greeted by 2 workers asking how I was. I went to the car to drop off the suitcase and go back to the room to gather my family. As I went back through the lobby, one of the employees had let me know that he was brewing a fresh pot of coffee for my trip. How awesome is that!!!? Never have dealt with this kind of customer service. Gathered my family, came back down and the fresh coffee was ready and he also opened up the little breakfast area and let us grab what was available for our trip. This will definitely be my continues pit stop traveling and will tell my family and friends to stop here if they're ever traveling the same route. read more

We were surprised by being named as the honor member of the day. This is something done by the local hotel. A honor member who reserves their room at least a day in advance are entered into a drawing to receive 500 bonus points. It was a nice surprise. We enjoyed the pool area and the hotel is near a mall and many restaurants (if you want something name brand). Breakfast was good and we enjoyed the facilities during our time here. The hotel is open for just a month; it's brand new and very nice. We love the new design in the room for hotels a lot, especially the lighting! Staffs are super helpful and cheerful! Loved this stay. I stayed at this holiday in for a 2 day work meeting. The bed in the room I stayed in last was very comfortable. I always have trouble sleeping at hotel rooms and this bed help me get a good night sleep. The only issue I had was when I arrived and checked in I asked the gentleman At the front if he had any rooms in 1st floor he immediately said no we don't. there was maybe 3-4 cars out in the parking lot.
